3 out of 5 eggsNice graphics - unreliable

Pros: Fast, excellent graphics quality, compatible with everything

Cons: Unreliable. Died after 2 years. Only a 1 year warranty.

Other Thoughts: I've owned nothing but AMD / ATI cards for the last 20 years - over 50 of them (I have 6 PCs). This is the first one to die within 2 years. I expected more from a $140 card.

3 out of 5 eggsScratchy problem

Pros: Good fps on most new games on high settings.
quiet running.
easy installation.

Cons: Have to restart computer every couple of hours because card shorts out and starts making scratching noises and eventually grinds to a halt.

Other Thoughts: Still a good card, mine may just be faulty.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Please contact me if you find anything wrong with the card. You do have a 3 year warranty with us at ASUS so you can send it in to us if you would like. Feel free to email me at cl-jeremy@asus.com with a description of your problems and I would be happy to help you.

Regards,
Jeremy

4 out of 5 eggsbetter then I thought.

Pros: I have HD 6770 and it runs pretty smooth in LOL(max), starcraft 2(high), Far Cry 3(high), Skyrim(mid), and Portal 2 (high settings). Its getting kinda old now but run's pretty good in most games out today.

Cons: Sometimes the fan goes a little bit crazy but other than that its pretty good for what your paying for.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst one was dead

Pros: Good Card for mid to high level gaming. All games play at max setting at 1280x1024.

Cons: First card was dead and shipped to Asus for replacement, send back card with note that card was dirty. Sent me the same card and it failed in 2 days. Contacted Newegg and they sent me a new one and it was fine.

Asus is a pain but newegg made it right.

4 out of 5 eggsgood video card for the price

Pros: bought this for my friend. He can run most of the games in high settings to get 60 FPS. but in some newer games like BF3 or COD MW3, he can only run in medium settings.

Cons: Not a high end video card. (of course the price is only $109.99)

Other Thoughts: None

3 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Runs all of my games with high settings.

Cons: Runs extremely hot, and it also makes an annoying high pitched noise when I play games with it. I installed drivers for it, and also reconnected the graphics card to make sure it had a good connection but still same noise when I play games.

Other Thoughts: pretty good card I just wish it didn't make that noise. I will be contacted customer support.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied Customer

Pros: Works as advertised.
Hassle free installation.
No issues, drivers seem solid.

Cons: Not top of the line graphics. Not really a con since I knew exactly what I was buying at this price range.

Other Thoughts: My XBOX 360 seems to be on its last leg, so I bought this card to transfer some of my gaming load to my computer. I dropped this into a two year old Dell Inspiron 570, and the card works great. Even with an Athlon II X4 running @ 2.8GHZ (and no L3 Cache), this card runs everything I throw at it, albeit on mid to low settings @1600x900 res to see frame rates I'm happy with. If I run @ 1280x720 in windowed mode I can max out all settings in Blacklight: Retribution, The Witcher, Ghost Recon Online (Beta), and Left 4 Dead 2. I shouldn't have scratched this itch though, since I have since been inspired to build a new system from scratch. I will update my review when I drop this into a rig with a better motherboard, processor, and ram.

1 out of 5 eggsNothing

Pros: I do not know yet.
Do not overclock your build and post usable info.

Cons: I want to see honest reviews and technical explanations why I one hardware is superior to another.

Other Thoughts: I am really tired of Techies who labeled themselves as experts. I all need to know is. Does it work properly, does it crash. does it burn without overclocking. When you write my Intel build is faster. I do not find the info useful. I you overclock your builds if you are not ultra careful with your build and you have problems, it does not help me make a decision to buy or not to buy. Build your pcs properly then post an honest experience you had with it so I can make a decision. I have tested Intel and AMD builds and dollar to dollar spent and do not see any difference. I care about the build working properly I care about the build not causing windows error codes and software malfunction. Think about what you write if you want to be helpful to others.
