4 out of 5 eggsNever had a crash

Pros: Card preforms very well and have had zero ZERO issues of overheating, crashing, etc and I've had the card since April 2012.

Cons: It's a big card and in smaller cases it's going to be tight. I feel that for all ATI cards AA is a bit weak - have the same issue with this card though it's been the best ATI I've ever had.

Other Thoughts: Never have had a single crash on this card - I strongly suspect people who have had issue do not know what they are doing and/or do not know how to build a machine that's properly cooled. Seriously have not had a single crash.

1 out of 5 eggsGlad it was discoed

Pros: Worked for a little while and looks pretty.

Cons: Kept crashing all my games with "display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered" even after complete uninstall and re install. and has now started over heating. Everything worked great with my old XFX 6950. should have stuck with them.

Other Thoughts: This is my first Asus card and I have to say I am not impressed.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card,

Pros: Plays everything I can throw at it on ultra.

Cons: Crashed on me once while playing BF3 on ultra for 2 and a half hours. Tried again but cranked the fans up & no issues it was even overclocked to 920 MHz. A lot of negative stuff out there about this card, don't know if I just got lucky with a good card or what.

1 out of 5 eggsGet a 7970 or a cheaper 7950

Pros: It's a good card.

Cons: I RMA'd because its big and if your gonna buy something this expensive, just pay another 20 bucks to get the 7970.
NO REALLY, this card is as expensive as the 7970 but performs like the 7950 it is.

Other Thoughts: GET A 7970

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great product especially after AMD updated drivers. Runs very cool, no major issues and beautiful graphics.

Cons: No major cons. Pretty beefy and long, would be nice seeing sizes of cards going down along with price. No biggie

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of garbage DONT BUY

Pros: Has potential to output good performance, if it worked..

Cons: I've bought this on February over on that popular auctions website from another seller. Such a regret, it never worked properly. Gives random BSOD'S, runs EXTREMELY hot (shown by the sensors), can't hold heavy graphics (i.e. Metro 2033) for much long before the system crashes, fans crank all the way up to the maximum speed due to the heat, and end up being too loud.
Overall, this is a badly designed video card, with a lot of issues, as it's been widely reported by other customers already.

Other Thoughts: Asus customer service has been terrible, at best. This card was sent to repairs TWICE, and they simply sent it back twice alledging theres no issues with it. Their policy is to deny the problem, deny, deny, deny till death. It's clear that this model was badly designed and many ppl r having issues with it, but Asus simply refuses to acknowledge the defects.
Unfortunately I too missed the 30-day return period, or else I'd get my money back.
I'm gonna proceed like one of the other customers and go find some legal advice now, it seems like the only way I'm gonna get my problem solved with Asus, unfortunately.

2 out of 5 eggsThis is a big load of u know what!

Pros: Runs cool, saves power

Cons: This card keeps having issues idk what it is but its gets really annoying. I play games like metro 2033, Bf3, WoW, LoL and more. In LoL i start getting this black sheet over the screen which gets really annoying and the fps drop is ridiculous starts out at 140 the when i get to the bottom of my lane its at 70 the it drops more in fights like around 30. In metro i get 50 or less but when i throw a nade its 9 fps and stays like that for about 2 minutes which makes it unplayable. In wow my old 6870 in my laptop gets better frames idk y. And in bf3 it just crashes whenever it feels like it. When i start up my computer the card doesnt recognize the screen so it portrays it smaller. also had to under clock it to try to keep it stable. Not what I expected from Amd's second best single gpu card complete Garbage. I would return it but i cant cause i got sick and my 30 day returned passed(bought it off ama.zon cause of cheaper price and two day shipping) stuck with the 430 dollar paper weight

Other Thoughts: I have the latest driver idk what the heck is wrong with this card.

Comp Specs:
Amd fx 8120 stock clock
Asus 7950 SC (i clocked it below)
16gb of ram
1tb harddrive
windows 7 64 bit
corsair h100
corsair Ax 850 psu

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Chris,

I am sorry about the issues you have been experiencing. Can you go into your BIOS and check if your motherboard supports Gen 3 in the PCIe slot?

1 out of 5 eggs5 stars for NewEgg – 0 for the card

Pros: Quiet when idle. Fast when working.

Cons: Maybe I got a bad copy. Maybe the drivers aren’t mature. I don’t know.

As soon as I installed the card my computer started crashing several times a day. Check the forums – see all the issues. Tried several versions of the drivers, reinstalled Windows -- kept getting random BSODs all day. Currently using an old no-name card from an old computer while waiting for a refund and I have had no crashes.

Newegg came through for me and my refund was approved today -- this is why I’ve ordered from you guys for over 10 years.

1 out of 5 eggsTHIS CARD IS GARBAGE

Pros: Fast when it worked

Cons: This specific model is plagued with issues.. Please research these issues before you purchase. The card I purchased was defected day 1.. Could not return becasue I discarded the original shipping material (MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE BOX). Shipped it back to ASUS and received the same card unrepaired.. Sent it back to ASUS and was told a couple of tracer wires needed to be resoldered.. Sent it back to me STILL DOA.. Now they can't find a replacement..WHAT A CROCK.. I spent almost 500 bucks and this is the type of service I get.. BEWARE

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY THIS CARD.. IN FACT DO NOT BUY ASUS PERIOD. Their custtomer service sucks.. Plan to sue this company.. Seeking legal advise now

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for the Gaming Enthusiast

Pros: Runs anything I throw at it, any game, on highest settings, including CAD Drawings or rendering and Photoshop CS5 like a breeze. I have yet to see even the slightest glitch in the cards operation, although I haven't bothered with overclocking this card, haven't felt I needed to, at all. Granted, everything in my computer is brand new, but mine runs just fine,
The only games I have been playing on my machine are Diablo 3, WoW, and SWTOR, all at the highest settings.

Cons: 3 Slot card, and a few software issues, like lack of updates, are all I can think of that could possibly be considered so called "Cons"

Other Thoughts: I built my system new, all parts ordered from Newegg, with a ASUS Motherboard, Corsair Power Supply, 16GB ram, Crucial SSD, Intel i5 CPU, and a Corsair case, this card, works really well in this configuration, and I am thinking the problematic reviews are either people overclocking for bragging rights or placing the card in a box that needs way more upgrades then the "fix-all" video card. Personally, and this is my opinion, its not perfect, but its really close.
