5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and powerful

Pros: Build a Media Center PC using a fan based 7800 video card, it sounded like a jet engine taking off. So I looked around for a quieter solution. I’m so happy that this product exists. It’s so quite now that my DLP TV (with it’s bulb fan) is the loudest part of my system.

Cons: It’s pricy, you can find a fan-based card for a lot less, but its silence is worth every penny. There’s a “swing arm” that houses more heat sinks. I currently have it hanging over an empty PCI slot. I don’t think it will get in the way when I need it, but it does have me a little worried about it

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind silence goes to the lowest “common denominator”. I spent extra time/effort/money to make sure my power supply had a high efficiency rating (=low heat=lower fan speed needed) fan less motherboard, cool ‘n quiet processor options variable speed case fans, ect. If you have a no-fan video card, but then have a loud case fan, what’s the point?

4 out of 5 eggsVery nice in SLI

Pros: The heat pipe system actually works well and the 7800 GT chipset makes my games much richer environmentally.

Cons: The heat pipe is doing so well at removing heat from the GPU that my case temp rises 10C when I'm gaming. I am going to install a side fan in my case right by the heat pipes to get that air out.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome, but make sure you have room

Pros: This card is surprisingly sturdy and well-built considering it's a 7800GT with a large fanless heatpipe, and it runs beautifully.

Cons: The heatpipe is supposed to be swiveled 90 degrees up, as raising it not only helps cooling, it also aligns fins in the correct direction for front-to-back air circulation to cool the fins. This is a good cooling solution, but the problem with this is it can frequently interfere with other components. For instance, I can't raise the heatpipe at all since my CPU cooler blocks it. So not only does the card block the below PCI slot, it also blocks any large object above it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very Fast!!!. Silent with lots of
room for overclocking with the software. I pivoted the fins over the cpu fan and the card is warm, but stable at maximum overclock.

Cons: Massive heavy heatsinks. Make sure you have room in the case. Takes up two PCI spaces.

Other Thoughts: Easy to install. Work right out of the box. Make sure you connect the supplement power cable to the card.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Unit appeared to be very well built.

Cons: Didn't work right out of the box. Display was full of noise patterns even during BIOS POST.

Other Thoughts: Called newegg and quickly got an RMA.
