5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, Great Price

Pros: Plays Skyrim and Dead Island:Riptide both on max settings easily and that's more then I could ask for from such a cheap card. Stays cool.

Cons: Not really the cards problem but when I first got the card it would freeze on loading screens of games. Ended up bein the catalyst control center being the culprit.

Other Thoughts: It's a great card and I do intend on buying another just for a little extra oomph in crossfire.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival

Pros: Dont' know didn't work so could not say

Cons: Didn't work

Other Thoughts: This is the second ASUS vid card but first time having trouble with anything bought through Newegg. So got a learning process here but right off I am wondering why I pay shipping of unit back? Will I be reimbursed through ASUS or do I eat it?

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for Price

Pros: I bought two of these cards to Crossfire in my custom rig, got it during the $20 rebate offer to save even more money, immediate performance gain with only one of them installed over my previous HD 5770, I am buying a new power supply so I can support the other card, and am sure it will make my computer run even better.

Cons: It barely fits in my Standard ATX case, Not per say problem just wasn't thinking when I purchased it each requires a 6pin PCI power plug

Other Thoughts: With a single card in I am seeing about a 2x performance boost over my old HD 5770

5 out of 5 eggsStrong Little Graphics Card

Pros: Just received it today. Building a computer for my lil brother and this seem decent and powerful. Tested it out and it was able to run skyrim on HIGH. BF3 on HIGH so this is worth it. 8gb DDR3 Rams/FX4100

Cons: A little lag pause but I think it is caused by the game installed on a different HDD instead of the SSD

Other Thoughts: Great Price !

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Asus has great customer service and are willing to honor the warranty with no hassle. I am still waiting for them to send my card back.

Cons: Mine was DOA. Green lines and artifacts all over the screen in post. Newegg would not take it back since i cut out the ups for the mail in rebate.

Other Thoughts: Will never mess with ATI again. I have always used NVIDIA products and I am VERY sorry I gave ATI a 2nd chance.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Davey Darko,

I am glad to hear that ASUS support has helped you replace your card. Please contact me at cl-jeremy@asus.com if you have any questions about your RMA. I can update you on your status and let you know how your RMA is progressing.

3 out of 5 eggsI don't know...

Pros: Asus 7 series card? oh and it runs cool but it should when it wont do nothing. Upgraded to this from an Asus 4850 that ran strong for 5 years and then died.

Cons: For starters, serious artifacts throughout bios and games. If the drivers crash in windows for any reason the gpu will clock to 299/149 and won't raise when you run a game until you reboot. With this video card installed my motherboard sensors got nuts, 12v equals 1.78V. Usb will randomly turn off, pc will randomly shut off and then do a thing where it turns on and off fast and wont stop until I unplug my pc for a couple minutes. I've tested this video card in 3 other computers and it would only boot in one of them and it did the same shut down loop. Another issue I'm getting is only 1 dvi header works at a time or else the pc wont post.

Other Thoughts: I didn't return this card yet because I didn't really want another one after reading other reviews for this specific video card. Card is receiving 3 eggs because I was able to boot my pc and use it long enough for my Nvidia GTX 670 to come in. 670 gets 400 fps in minecraft 7770 gets 16-31.
I am not bashing AMD but come on there is a serious problem with the asus 7700 and you guys know this it's time to recall them or something.

Gigabyte P45-UD3P
F10 BIOS

Antec High Current 900watt

Core 2 quad Q6600 @ 3.6ghz

8gb G.Skill ddr2 pc-6400 800mhz

Was originally running windows 7 64 then upgraded to windows 8 64
tried both with the 7700.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card!

Pros: Great Value!

Runs all games maxed!

Overclocks well!

Uses very little power!

2 of these is a monster!

Cons: I got this card the day before yesterday. Before I even ran it. I took the stock cooler off, and removed all the junk thermal paste they put on there for you. And I applied artic silver 5!

My card is overclocked to 1150Mhz on the core, and 5000Mhz on the memory, my idle temps are 77F or 26C

And my load temps! Are outstanding!!! 100% load for 2 hours, is 98.6F/ OR 37C!!! Yes! That's right 37 Celcius under full load! Overclocked to the MAX!!!!!!! 100% fan speed.

Ive been building computers for 10 years. And ive never seen a video card run so cool. I just touched the back of it in my case at idle, and its cold.. lol

It has never gone past 37C in games, or benchmarks.

Other Thoughts: If you own one of these, you need to take the cooler off and apply artic silver 5! You wont regret it. My card has never seen 100F in my case under load. It only goes to 99 or less F. Or 37C Load. Sounds unbelievable. But, its true.

Im going to buy another one of these next week or so. 2 7770's are excellent in Xfire! They actually scale double in almost everything! VERY CHEAP! TO.

Its cheap, and it performs great for the price it cost. It performs better than I thought it would.

1 out of 5 eggsPrice to fail...

Pros: Price was fare. When it running it does great.

Cons: Screen blackout then return after a few seconds during normal stress (online and offline). Uninstalled and re-installed, updated firmware and software. Not sure what is going on... No answers...

2 out of 5 eggsSoftware problems

Pros: Inexpensive, highly functional paper weight.

Cons: The drivers and software is awful. After installing, uninstalling, installing I gave up. The hardware is really not up to driving a 42" monitor and the software compounds the problem. This video card performed worse than the $20 video card I bought two years ago to go in an outdated dell driving the same 42" monitor.

Other Thoughts: I clipped off the UPC but still had it in hand yet was told I still could not return the card. I think the small rebates and free games are a way for Newegg to reduce many returns. This video card is pretty poor performing overall and the return policy is even worse.

I ended up buying an MSI GTX660Ti to get away from the AMD software. Fortunately the on-board GPU in my brand new computer build worked better than this card until the replacement came.
