The GeForce GTX 670 combines high performance with exceptional power efficiency. GPU Boost dynamically boosts clock speed for extra performance. New anti-aliasing modes eliminate jaggies without sacrificing framerate. And NIVIDIA Sound lets you game on three monitors from a single card. The GeForce GTX 670 GPU is not the end of story. ASUS exclusive DirectCU II thermal solution achieves 20% Cooler and Vastly Quieter than reference. DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology ensures stable overclocking while GPU Tweak offers real time and intuitive tuning and overclocking.

  • newegg Direct cooling for 20% cooler than reference Thick copper heatpipes are accurately positioned in direct contact with the GPU surface so heat is transported and dissipated efficiently to the heatsink - achieving a 20% cooler performance than reference. Since heat is carried away faster, fans can spin at a lower speed thus resulting in quieter performance than reference.
  • newegg DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology Acclaimed DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology delivers precise digital power and enhanced durability for stable overclocking. Plus, the new and exclusive Super Alloy Power technology on ASUS graphics cards uses a special alloy formula which is highly-magnetic, heat-resistant and anti-corrosive. It delivers a more stable and quieter operation compared to the reference design – a welcome bonus sought after by performance seekers.
  • newegg GPU Tweak Overclocking is made real-time and intuitive with ASUS GPU Tweak utility. It not only allows you to optimize clock speeds, voltage and fan speeds on up to four graphics cards independently or simultaneously, you can also select between GPU Tweak’s Standard or Advanced modes depending on your level of experience. For gamers out there, GPU Tweak enables instantaneous in-game video recording up to 720p resolution so you can share clips with the community easily.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

2 out of 5 eggsCrashes Frequently

Pros: 1080p
was on sale
better than what i had

Cons: Crashes, interfering with games. some games crash because of this

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace my last Graphics Card, and it seemed to work much better. However, I have noticed that the card will crash a minimum of once every time I turn on the computer. Depending on the game I am playing, it will sometimes happen more frequently, and causes certain games to crash. I basically consider this to be something that makes this card unusable

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

Thank you for purchasing an ASUS product.

Typically a display card would not cause a system to crash. In most cases when an error or crash happens in Windows, it can be explained by a driver conflict. Moreover, I would suggest removing any previous display drivers installed on the computer. By doing this, it should resolve the problem. Should you need any assistance in this matter, please let me know through email. 3577213.

Regards,

Mark

5 out of 5 eggsOh good bye baby

Pros: Amazing card...still works like a champ at 1080p.
Quiet
bought it 9/2012 from newegg.

Upgrading to Video Card with more Vram for my 2560 x 1440p monitor.

Cons: It doesn't have 4GB of Vram

5 out of 5 eggsReally quiet, powerful

Pros: It's really quiet when I start up my computer. Love the Diablo 3 mouse pad it came with it!

Cons: Slightly weaker than MSI twin frozr gtx 670 stock but overclocks better. I'm not sure if this is a con but it did not include a VGA to DVI or the DVI to HDMI but no biggie, I won't be needing that.

Other Thoughts: I got the last one before it was discontinued on 12/1/2013. This graphic card is somehow far quieter than the MSI twin frozr gtx 670 which is a good thing. I returned my twin frozr gtx 670 just to get this.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Card

Pros: Great card, runs almost any game on ultra settings. Uses a lot less power than the 700 series cards so using this card with a 450W power supply works quite well.

Cons: Nothing stands out as a Con

4 out of 5 eggsgood for the price point

Pros: Performed about as good as I expected. No issues with the installation. I can run all my current games on the highest settings without issue (I don't play FPS games on the computer, so the bar isn't as high as some might put it).

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsquality card

Pros: My first build. Excellent choice to match Asus P8P67 board.

Cons: The freebie software is linked to a website. You must play it thru their "uplay" site. Install Splinter Cell Blacklist. It quit allowing 'play' in just 2 days. UBIsoft's uplay notified more than 7 days. Got an email reply, either comment with a detail explanation within 4 days, or they consider the case closed UBIsoft will not, at this time, either reset my install, or send me the actual DVD.

Other Thoughts: What's up Newegg?

3 out of 5 eggsToo Pricey

Pros: I Actually don't own this card. I own a different GTX 670. I just wanted to say that i would buy this one to put in SLI with my other if ASUS would just drop the price down to around $200.

Cons: Price. There are better cards out there for less money from the current generation. The only reason someone has to buy this card is to run it in SLI with another GTX 670.

Other Thoughts: If you want to clear out your inventory, Asus, just drop the price on this and people like me will buy one!

4 out of 5 eggsCurrently good for sli at 1440p

Pros: Pretty quite. Drop in and go. Look cool (if that your thing).

Cons: Back plate will get warm. Not sure if it is the cooler pushing the air around the card, or the ram running hot. The card will still slope down, so I think Asus runs a bit to thin on their circuit boards for this card.
Price is another issue, my first card ran me $420 here at new egg, and it only dropped to $300. IMO this is a $200 to $220 card. If I didn't already own a 670, I would have gone for a gpu with more ram or waited till price of the 780ti get reasonable or gone with the r9 290x.

Other Thoughts: Bought this 2nd card for SLI with my exact same 670 on a new 1440p using a overclocked 3750k to 4.5ghz and 8gb of 1600 ram. BF4 on ultra with my single oc'd 670 at 1080p/60hz would pull in 47-68fps. My new Qnix 1440p monitor at 60hz will do 28-48fps on ultra. Now with the addition to SLI 54-74fps. I was able to overclock my monitor to 110hz though in order to run BF5 my setting very from low to medium to lock my fps at 110 to match my monitor. I am blown away at how well the game looks and feels so in that respect I am thrilled with my set up.
