The self-designed ASUS GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II TOP brings NVIDIA 28nm “Kepler” GPU technology to a wider audience while maintaining extreme gaming performance. The enhanced edition uses carefully TOP-selected cores that are factory-overclocked for instant speed boosts. With 2GB GDDR5 and 1344 CUDA cores, the new card makes the most of exclusive ASUS DirectCU heat mitigation. Utilizing exclusive 8-phase DIGI+ VRM power delivery and Super Alloy Power components, it runs 20% cooler and considerably quieter than reference, opening up new overclocking possibilities with ASUS GPU Tweak. Advanced NVIDIA technologies such as GPU Boost, TXAA, and Adaptive Vertical Sync further contribute to genuine top tier gaming performance.

  • newegg Only the best gaming with ASUS TOP-selected graphics cards An extensive battery of tests conducted by ASUS engineers scans entire batches of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 GPUs for the most reliable and durable parts. After undergoing rigorous thermal tests and overclocking trials, these elite GPUs are paired with custom-designed PCBs, and the assembly is then put under further grueling inspections to ensure maximum performance in the face of extreme voltages and temperatures. ASUS TOP cards therefore meet the exacting standards of even the most demanding overclockers, and can handle the highest-end PC gaming with ease. Thanks to the TOP process, the core used on the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II TOP has been factory-overclocked to 1137MHz, offering gamers an immediate framerate gain.
  • newegg DirectCU II eliminates 20% heat and unwanted noise The exclusive ASUS DirectCU cooler uses all-copper heat dissipation points and an overall 200% larger heat removal area to ensure lower temperatures. With 20% cooler operation compared to reference, the ASUS-designed card can take more intense gaming and overclocking, and lasts longer. At idle, its twin fans work at much lower sound levels than stock cards, creating yet another DirectCU-based low noise, low heat, and high output graphics powerhouse.
  • newegg Sophisticated DIGI+ VRM power delivery with Super Alloy Power technology Digital voltage regulators and 8-phase power provision form the basis of exclusive DIGI+ VRM, a design originally used on bestselling ASUS motherboards. DIGI+ VRM lowers power noise by as much as 30% for cleaner, more stable, and 15% more efficient performance. As a consequence, DIGI+ VRM helps the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II TOP outlast reference cards by a factor of 2.5. It is joined by exclusive ASUS Super Alloy Power solid state capacitors, chokes, and MOSFETs, which are specially-formulated for high demand overclocked operation and extended product lifespan.
  • newegg Intuitive GPU Tweak suite harnesses great graphics tuning power Accommodating more advanced 28nm graphics card technology, ASUS continues to modify its exclusive GPU Tweak card tuning utility. The latest version offers more overclocking features than before, and adds precision power target settings. It also enables fan speed adjustments and live driver/BIOS updates. Gamers can use a convenient on-screen widget to keep a close eye on card conditions while in-game.
  • newegg Faster, smoother, and richer gaming action The DirectX 11-optimized GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II TOP incorporates several new NVIDIA technologies, such as GPU Boost auto core clock maximization and TXAA advanced anti-aliasing. Both contribute to smoother and better-looking games, as does real time Adaptive Vertical Sync. The card also offers gamers enhanced single-GPU support for NVIDIA 3D Vision technology.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.

1 out of 5 eggsASUS Tech Support Unprofessional

Pros: None

Cons: Capacitor on card exploded while under warranty. Sent in for repair. This card out of stock. Offered inferior card as replace. Card sent to wrong address after I asked to have card held because my company ordered a sudden move to Washington DC. Card returned to ASUS. Asus Tech support 812-282-2787 in Indiana have refused to help track down the card that was returned to them in Indiana. Have called over and over. Can't speak to Supervisor or Lead. Told none available. extremely Unprofessional.

Other Thoughts: I will never again buy an ASUS product. I used to have High praise for them, my problems with ASUS Tech Support have gone on for almost 2 months now with no resolution. I am going to have to file a law suit against the company to get resolution.

3 out of 5 eggsWas a great card

Pros: Powerful

I honestly couldn't complain for the longest time. Worked well, stayed quiet compared to my last card which sounded like a jet-engine.

Cons: Over the period of owning it, I suffered from random, untraceable BSODs and artifacting. It was so few and far apart at first that I thought nothing of it. I was able to tolerate it for a long period of time until recently when the crashes became more frequent and has been crashing with limited system use. My computer is impossible to game on, and worse, I can't even work on it anymore, forcing me onto my laptop as a temporary solution until I get this fixed.

Other Thoughts: Loved it until it started to stutter, crash, and BSOD on a daily basis. Seeing all the issues it's suffered up until now makes me said for the product as I've always had high opinions of ASUS. Here's to hoping that something can be done about it!

5 out of 5 eggsThere is literally nothing to dislike about this card.

Pros: ASUS has great innovation and wonderful products works extremely well and provides low temperatures as well as super low noise levels. The card is actually the quietest. There are no nasty surprises this card is great i can play all the latest games on ultra settings 60+fps!What’s really impressive about this card is the stock boost. While rated at 1137 MHz, when running a benchmark, the card runs closer to 1300 MHz (peaking at 1293 MHz and hovering near there for the entirety) than it does to its rated 1137 MHz. It truly is a thing of beauty. Built like it can withstand Armageddon, with great looks to boot. It even ships with a good looking backplate, which is more than can be said about some cards that require them to be purchased separately.

Cons: Price it's about $30 more then other models.

5 out of 5 eggsOverall = *Double Thumbs Up

Pros: I tested this on Guild Wars 2 and Battlefield 3 at max settings. Guild Wars 2 has consistent 100-140 fps and Battlefield 3 runs from 90-120 fps in combat. No lag at all. Well worth getting two of these for SLI. Great Price. This card outperforms a stock 680. It handles any current game at the highest settings without even breaking a sweat. It runs cool, you cant hear the fans even under load. My case has high airflow so exhausting into the case isnt a problem, but might be in a poor flow case. But running cool, this is even debatable if thats worth being concerned. My preliminary fiddling with the card has resulted in some success of overclocking further, but I have read reviews of substantial overclocking with the right settings. I can confirm this card is the best of the best.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card Has to be the best card I have ever owned.

Pros: great for games, eats up pretty much anything. the TOP is a real workhorse. if your thinking about buying one..... then do it now , you wont regret it.This card does everything I need with plenty left in reserve. Quiet, flexible power with Nvidia drivers you know your getting the very best! The Asus GTX 670 DC II Top is the king of all 670's it even got the Editor's choice award from techpowerup, also it's reported that it runs a bit cooler and less noisy than the others.

Cons: I am really somewhat in shock by all these bad reviews. I honestly do not believe half of them. Notice how a lot of the reviews don't show as confirmed owners those were not written by actual owners. Nice try red team pretty lame. I guess like they say desperate times require desperate measures ...

Other Thoughts: Are you kidding me no none.

1 out of 5 eggsMine lasted 4 months

Pros: Great while it worked.

Cons: As you can see from numerous reviewers here and elsewhere, this card design was clearly defective - hence it being discontinued. When I called ASUS tech support they tried to tell me it was an nvidia driver update that caused the problem - clearly already knowing that was not the case. Now they will not give me an advanced replacement because the card is no longer in production. That means either I buy a new card or be computer-less for however long it takes for them to repair it...and then do I really want this card back, even repaired?

Other Thoughts: I'm an ASUS fanboy. I pretty much have ASUS everything and no problems before this. Hardware sometimes fails. That doesn't bother me so much. I am very disappointed in the deceptive CS rep who obviously knows these cards are failing but tried to make other excuses for the problem. Also they should be replacing failed cards with functional models rather than rejecting advanced replacement because they had to discontinue the defective design. Not the way to retain your loyal customers, ASUS. It's really not that hard to be decent to your customers and do the right thing, is it?

Cons: Size. Make sure you have enough room.

Other Thoughts: I must be lucky as I have not had any problems with this card.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked Great for 3 Months

Pros: Build quality and construction is solid

Cons: Everything was fine up until a few weeks ago. I got one black screen that caused my computer to restart. Now it happens on a fairly frequent basis. Really frustrating to have such an expensive item fail after only 3 months....

Manufacturer Response:
