Enjoy the power of NVIDIA 28nm Kepler architecture for a new level of gaming enjoyment in the latest DirectX 11 title, with the ASUS GT640-2GD3 graphics card. This GeForce GT 640 VGA card renders mind-blowing lifelike graphics and immersive 3D game like you have never experienced it before. An assortment of NVIDIA technology such as NVIDIA Adaptive Sync, NVIDIA Surround and FXAA Anti-aliasing Mode offers you more than one way to elevate your gaming experience. The sophisticated ASUS design including super alloy components and dust-proof fan ensures best in class durability and reliability for trouble-free gaming even during the most demanding environments.

  • newegg Super Alloy Power Premium alloys inside power delivery components defeat the heat for cards that run better, cooler, and longer than reference.
  • newegg Dust-proof Fan Unique fan design dissipates heat efficiently while extending a graphic card’s lifespan by 25% (for reference) through increased dust and particle resistance.
  • newegg GPU Tweak GPU Tweak utility helps you modify and tune clocks, power consumption targets, voltages, and fan performance via an intuitive interface. Detailed specs and actual card status are available with GPU-Z. Monitoring widget provides real-time and detailed multi-parameter info. Automatically check and update drivers and BIOS versions. Sync GPU clocks and voltages for easier overclocking.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA CUDA Unlocks the power of GPU’s processor cores to accelerate the most demanding system tasks

5 out of 5 eggsDecent card for older pc's

Pros: Can run 4 displays at one time*
Good price for # of displays.
Runs good on only 350 watt psu.
good for older pc's
good for general use

Cons: Seems to need windows 7 or above to run more then 2 displays at one time.
Takes up 2 card slots.
dvi are digital only outputs.

Other Thoughts: owned for about 5 months
i have a dual core E5300 2.60 ghz cpu. 350 watt psu
I have pci 1.0a
This card is probably Bottle necked by my pc , YMMV

In windows xp you will be limited to any 2 displays at one time.

In windows 7 , you can attach and use up to 4 at one time (i have tested only with 3 )my 4th display is on order.

I can run many games , but not everything.
unreal , minecraft , killing floor , ut3 , call of duty etc all run ok.

I can play minecraft and unreal across 3 screens with decent fps.

I bought this card to give me more displays and to replace a 8 year old s300se radoen that was showing its age. in a attempt to keep this older pc alive a bit longer.

I am happy with my purchase for what i paid.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible card

Pros: Cheap, easy to install

Cons: Terrible card. I've had it for about 2 1/2 months now. I contacted ASUS and I sent in my card and they send it back "Fixed" but it continues to overheat it started about a week after I got it back just like it did at the beginning when I first bought it. Waiting for tomorrow to talk to someone from ASUS about the card again and send it back.
Wouldn't recommend buying this card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Easy to install, good graphics. I'm only using the HDMI, but appears to work great.

Cons: Little bulky, but alot of output options.

Other Thoughts: Used this in a Steam box and had no issues at all. Driver on the CD is out of date, but it was easy to get it current.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: The biggest pro is that it works with BF4 and an older gaming system. Had a 1GB card and BF4 was dropping frames like crazy. Installed this card a few weeks ago and BF4 is working great. Have dual monitors which this card lights up at the highest resolutions. Turned in game BF4 resolution to 1600x and it works great. Adjusted resolution while in BF4 game console, no crash, adjusted ad hoc and I played on.

Cons: At this point, no cons that I can think of. My chassis has multiple large fans so the addition of another fan via this card had no effect on fan noise that I could tell.

Other Thoughts: I feel like I salvaged an aging triple-core amd nvidia system by installing an SSD drive (another story!) and this video card. Should be able to hang onto this rig for a couple more years before leaping to what should be a cheaper i7 rig.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Video Card

Pros: Runs 3 monitors seamlessly, easy set up.

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: I tried to run 3 monitors with one of those external video cards, with no luck. WIth this car, I can run 2 DVI connected monitors and 1 VGA monitor. If I chose to connectan HDMI monitor, I could run for. I can watch Netflix on one monitor, type a word document on another, and browse the internet on the other.
