5 out of 5 eggsGaming

Pros: Fans keep it cool even when clocked over it's default settings.
- This card can run any game with no issues. I recommend this one over any other. ASUS is a great computer brand.

Cons: Only thing that I can think of, is the actual PHYSICAL size of the card. It almost didn't fit into my tower as I built my rig. Check your specs before you buy it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: No issues, works as designed. All though I'm not an avid gamer, I do enjoy a good FPS every now and then. I've used is on PS2 with no issues and it runs cool and very quite.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Asus Sabertooth Z77
i7-3770K OC'ed to 4.2
16G of G.Skill Sniper (1600)
Asus GTX 660 Ti - tops

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: It can handle everything I throw at relatively easily. Skyrim with 100 mods, ARMA3 Alpha, Tombraider - all running at min 60fps at stock OC settings.

Runs very quiet and cool - max temp 63 degrees

Cons: Set up was a little goofy and required 3 restarts. No issues since.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: This card gets the job done on any game I've tried and doesn't set you back 1,000 dollars. It ran Bioshock Infinite for my on ultra with no noticeable hiccups.
I got this card with a whole new build about 2 months ago to go with an i5 3570k CPU and 16 GB DDR3 1600 SDRAM. Also I tossed in a lower end SSD, and really I am very happy with the system.
I see no need at this point to get anything more than this card for gaming.
In the Fall I plan to build a new computer with the next generation of Intel chips (out this summer), but I may even wait a while to do that since this is really performing well.

Cons: None, the unit I ordered worked fine out of the box and has performed well since then. I know there are more high-end cards out right now, but for half the price this card performs almost the same.

Other Thoughts: I play TF2 a lot and with this card I get 180-280 fps all the time with high settings in game, I have not overclocked it at all yet.
If you're doing a full build, you should get the ASUS VG248QE 144Hz monitor for competitive gaming. Beats the price of BENQ monitors by a good margin and works great (after some color adjustment).

4 out of 5 eggsDual in SLI

Pros: Amazing cards. I was running two 560 ti's in SLI before going on deployment. After being away, and reading about the 660's, I decided to make the upgrade after returning home. Fast, they respond well(barring a minor Asus program issue[discussed in the cons section]), and I can play all my games at or near max settings with a few minor tweaks.

Cons: Ok. This is probably my biggest gripe. And I haven't figured out the Asus website yet to even know where to send this.

The GPU Tweak program that comes with the cards, for whatever reason, causes the graphics driver to crash. This is super annoying. It was so bad one day that I had to restart my computer three times because the driver crashed and caused the whole system to lock up. After it recovered from the crash one day, it was so bad that it knocked one of my cards down completely, but the system thought it was still running SLI. Not true. All my games were extremely slow, running between 8 and 15 fps. Another restart fixed this.

I closed it one day and tried reopening it. And that's when I noticed the tuning section was causing the problem. I have yet to see if it's due to them running in SLI or if the program just doesn't like me or the cards for some reason. I haven't tried booting with just one card yet. After going in and unchecking the box that automatically starts the GPU Tweak I have had no issues booting up.

Other Thoughts: The GPU Tweak Monitor works just fine and I have no issues with that.

The cards are good, but one can't rate something based on one part. It has to be rated as a whole. As I'm not really attempting to tweak anything right now, this issue is nothing more than a minor annoyance. Hence why only four eggs instead of five.

2 out of 5 eggsProblems with my Sample (Updated)

Pros: Cooling
Looks
Quiet

Cons: Stability
Quality

Other Thoughts: This is a updated review of my now 3 1/2 Month old Gtx 660Ti

Bought this to compliment my new build. Went with Asus this go round because of the temperature performance in relation to other cards (thought the boost amount was determined by temps, turns out on the 6xx series it goes by TDP. The 7xx series will have the boost temp controlled). None the less it performs as advertised and never goes above 71C in stressing and 50C in intense BF3 gaming runs.

I struggled with this build for a whole month with random crashing in games. Turned CPU OC back to stock, re flashed the BIOS on both Mobo and GFX. Reinstalled windows, chipset, audio and all other drivers. PC would not pass 3dMark 11, AIDA 64, OCCT, MSi Kombustor and Heaven benchmarks and would crash within 5-30mins on selected titles. After a month of troubleshooting and tracking down BSOD errors, low and behold it turned out to be the GFX factory OC. Apparently ASUS does not do a good job testing these things as I had to lower the core clock -75mhz Via MSi Afterburner giving me a boost clock of 1031mhz and I had to lower the memory frequency to -450 MHz in MSi Afterburner as well. This would now allow me to actually play the games without crashing, but still crashed when exiting games. Very disappointing that I have to down-clock a factory OC that is supposed to ship stable. Some older games it runs just fine and will run for hours at a +150mhz core OC on top of the factory OC bringing my boost clock in the mid 1200s. Overclocking the memory at all past stock was instant reboot. OCCT showed massive amounts of memory errors during test runs, no errors whatsoever on the core tests. Tried other graphics cards to make sure it wasn’t another issue. All other cards ran fine. Past the 30 day warranty with Newegg by the time I found the source. RMAs are a pain, so I’ll just baby it for now.

Even at the lowered factory OC, I still manage a 65FPS average in BF3, 95Fps in Borderlands 2, 126Fps WoW and pretty much all my other games run very well, all in Ultra settings @1920x1080

Card is super quiet in a HAF 932 Advanced case and cannot be heard until 70% or higher manually adjusted Fan speed, though the card even when stressing never goes over 50% and 71C.

Was going to get the Gtx 670 but after reading benchmarks and other review sites I couldnt see paying 100$ extra for a card that only achieved 4-7 more FPS across the board. This is by far the best Nvidia based card for the price if only using single monitor setup. 670/680 are for multi monitor IMO.

Idk if this helps anyone but my system specs are:
Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
Asus Maximus V Formula Republic of Gamers
Intel Core i5 3570k @ 4.6Ghz 1.27v
Xigmatek Dark Knight II Cooler
8Gb G.Skill Ripjaws X 2400Mhz
Asus GTX 660 TI
240Gb Intel Cherryville 520 Series SSD
1TB 7200 RPM Sata 3 Western Digital HDD

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: Quiet, cool, powerful card. I see some reviews mentioning needing to redo the thermal paste, but I haven't had any issues with that thus far. I have run the card for 8+ hours at 99% load (OpenCL processing) without it getting above 69C with the fans at 50%. I've been playing Skyrim with all settings cranked up to 11, the high res texture packs, and I don't drop below 50FPS (as reported by Fraps). As an extra benchmark, the aforementioned OpenCL processing I used to test was GUIMiner for Bitcoin, which managed an average of 93-95 MHash/s on this card, for anyone that's interested in that information.

Cons: Have not come across any thus far.

4 out of 5 eggsReplace the TIM

Pros: Great build quality and aesthetics. Quiet under heavy load and fan settings below 70%. Plays well with my i5 ivy bridge. @ 1080p Crysis 3 multiplayer HIGH settings with SMAA runs 60fps 99.9% of the time. BF3 ULTRA with MSAA x 2 60 fps 99.9% of the time in 64 player servers.

Cons: Playing BF3 for 5 minutes resulted in temps 75c+ I removed the 4 screws, cleaned off the factory thermal paste and replaced it with IC Diamond 7. Temps dropped to 66c and after break-in I can't get this card over 59c during heavy benchmarking with max fan setting at 66%. Quite and cool now. Just be prepared to replace the paste. It takes a whopping 5 minutes :)

Other Thoughts: When this card hits the sweet spot on sale, buy it.

4 out of 5 eggsSpec. doesn't match?

Pros: I upgraded from a gtx 550 ti and I'm very satisfied how well it perform with the games I played on the highest settings (Planetside 2, Natural Selection 2, and LoL).

Silent when idle and under load.
Temp. stay cool below 70 C under load.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I used both TechPowerUp GPU-Z and Asus GPU-Z to check the spec of the card. Under default setting it shows 967Mhz gpu clock, 1502Mhz memory and 1046Mhz boost. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought 1058Mhz boost was the default or do I have to use the gpu teak to set boost to 1058Mhz? Can someone please help me with this!
