1 out of 5 eggsVery disappointed in this card

Pros: The card looked good on paper but failed for me far too soon.

Cons: This card failed me after 5 months. Obviously it was out of warranty. The card gave me the red screen of death. No amount of fiddling with the graphics drivers worked.

5 out of 5 eggsfan to slow use gpu tweek

Pros: you need to adjust the power target 110%, I turn the fan to max, I have the computer down stairs, but play upstairs, so i hear nothing. after you adjust proper you will never get black screens, its overheating, and overclocked, or install a audio card worth value, ac 97 crashes the card sometimes, use a real audio card. ASUS tweak works perfect. no more black screens. the default speed of a 670 is 915 not 980mhz play with your settings just watch the temps, you can go to 1100mhz watch the temps. thanks

Cons: to much CPU grease was on my card, and low quality. It had like a spoon full, factory default sucks. add quality grease, , now base temp 23C, I like max temps around 50C nice.

Other Thoughts: I think think the GPU fan control was bad, it crashed my game into a black screen, But after adjusting manually it worked perfect. so glad i did not have to RMA this card.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Card after 1 month

Pros: Looks great!

Cons: Really big and bulky

Other Thoughts: I bought this card as an overkill for the gaming I do (league of legends) and for my computer science homework. On arrival this card worked great! After about a month and week of use (so convenient that it goes out after 30 days of use) the screen suddenly went dark and upon restarting the graphics switched to an ugly lower resolution with random particles all over the screen. I even switched graphic cards with a different computer and had the same result. BAD BAD GRAPHICS CARD. I hope that Asus RMA service isnt bad either or I'll just be out of luck. =(

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings Ninja Tony,

If I may, I would like to help. I am not sure if you still have the card or not, but there may be a fix for this issue. You mentioned that the resolution displayed changed to a lower setting. This could indicate conflicting drivers. Try sweeping the computer for older display drivers installed and remove any you find.

If you confirmed the cause is indeed due to faulty hardware and you are still within the warranty, we can set up a RMA for the unit. Just let us know by contacting us using the below contacts. Your reference number for this case is 3080746. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 670 4GB ASUS NICE

Pros: DirectX 11, Open GL 4.2, 4GB GDDR5, 1344 CUDA cores. Runs everything like 3ds Max design suite 2012, Maya, CS6 master collection, Solid Works 2012, MasterCam X6, but Plays Games To On Almost Max settings, new drivers 327.23 adds support for tiled 4K displays, and 4K FCAT testing. Very good card ASUS is top quality.

Cons: only half the render speed of a nVidia Quadro 4000 but for the price I can live with it.

Other Thoughts: MY COMPUTER

ASUS P6T Deluxe (runs strong 4yrs to date)
I7 920 2.66GHZ OC to 3GHZ
Zalman 9900 CPU Cooler
12 GB corsair dominator ddr3 1600
Corsair HX 1000w modular Power Supply

5 out of 5 eggsFreakin' Sweet!

Pros: Can run all games on ultra. Seeing details in games I didn't know existed. Makes geek roommate jealous. Makes the inside of my computer look even more like somebody just eviscerated C3P0.

Cons: The thing is massive. I almost had to get a shoe horn and some Vaseline to cram it in to the case. My girlfriend's mad because I spent up all my play money.

3 out of 5 eggsSLI issues...

Pros: GTX 670 is solid GPU
Custom pcb and cooler silent (single card)
Runs cool
Drivers matured

Cons: Did not like SLI
Hit power limits continuously
Was unable to run smoothly when in SLI
Top card extremely hot when in SLI, reaching 94C

Other Thoughts: I wanted to upgrade my pair of EVGA GTX 670 FTW's that had been running in my main PC with something different. The EVGA cards were a little noisy and had 2gb vram. These Asus cards had custom pcb, cooler and 4gb vram.
I have been extremely happy with the GTX 670 and really needed nothing else for 2560x1440 gaming, so it seemed daft to spend more on a pair of GTX 770's.
A single Asus GTX 670 ran beautifully, it was silent and smooth as butter. Load temps were in the high 60's.
Once I added the second card I had issues, there is three card spacing between my PCI-e slots and I had no issues with the EVGA cards in this configuration. The Asus cards immediately started to act up with the top card hitting 90C plus, all games started to stutter and the second gpu started to throttle dramatically to 300mhz creating stutter that made games unplayable. I tried at least three sets of drivers and a different SLI bridge but was unable to fix the issue. This was at stock settings. When I looked at EVGA precision I could see that the power limits on both cards were being hit even when I manually increased power limits to 122% I noticed that Precision was reporting in excess of 125% during game play.
I am unsure if the issue is a single bad card, or heat. I have a NZXT Switch 810 case with great airflow. Either way I am unable to use the cards like this. I unfortunately returned them to Newegg and will now need to rethink my VGA strategy. The sad part is that I already sold my EVGA GTX 670's, so for now I have nothing...
Solid card for gaming at 1920x1080 but I am unable to recommend SLI gaming due to my experiences.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Powerful card that stays very cool even under full load.
Relatively quiet fans even at 85% and higher.
Fairly easy to overclock, though doing so is far from necessary even for heavy loads.

Cons: Not as much overclocking headspace as other cards, but thats primarily due to the Keplar architecture.
Heavy card, causes a little sagging.
Included Asus GPU Tweak is "meh" at best.

Other Thoughts: I'll start off by repeating what everyone else is saying: the 4gb model of this card is unnecessary unless you are planning on running a multi-display setup. Or, in my case, you plan on running a second card in SLI later on down the road.

I am thoroughly impressed by this card.
At stock clocks, I am able to run Battlefield 3 on full ultra at 1080p and achieve a minimum frame rate of over 70FPS even under full load.

The only real issue I have is that the card is fairly hefty which causes one of the corners to sag a little bit. This is easily remedied by using a bit of string as another reviewer has mentioned.

The headspace for overclocking is lower than that of some other cards, though this is hardly an issue (unless you are one of those people who enjoys extreme overclocking). This card will power through nearly anything you throw at it even at stock clocks.

My rig:
>Asus GTX 670 DC2 4gb @ 1080MHz Boost
>Intel Core i5-3570K @ 4.0GHz
>Team Xtreem Dark Series 8gb (2x4gb)
>Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing (but heavy) card

Pros: Seems easy to OC (Have yet to try it), low noise and has yet to flinch at anything I've thrown at it with dual monitors

Cons: Heavy card tends to sag a little and not factory OC'd

Other Thoughts: I put this card into a new build and I was initially worried that the darn thing was so heavy the pins might snap off, lol. If that bothers you I'd plan on some kind of support to keep it level. Other than that, the thing is a beast. I'm running dual monitors and any game I've played (Including Bioshock Infinite) have run flawlessly on max settings. Yeah it's pricey but it's worth the money if you're looking for a top notch card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, performs very well in games

Pros: Amazing performance. I have successfully been able to max out every game that I play, with the exception of Tomb Raider with TressFX on. It doesn't even break a sweat in Crysis 3 or Planetside 2. 4GB of VRAM is not only quite nice for triple-monitor or 1440p gaming, but also gives me plenty of headroom for high-resolution textures and anti-aliasing. It's quite easily overclocked, and since it uses the DirectCU II cooler, it stays cool and quiet even when overclocked by a lot.

Cons: It's heavy. My card was warping slightly at the corner because of its weight, so I had to attach a string to one of the heatpipes to support it from the top of my case. Not really a big problem, but I am very paranoid about these things.
It's not factory overclocked, which seems like wasted potential for a DirectCU II card.

Other Thoughts: Don't get this card if you're planning on gaming only on a single 1080p monitor; get the cheaper 2GB version instead. I have yet to use 2GB on a single monitor yet.
