4 out of 5 eggsNot Mbox compatible

Pros: Pros:
1.Great performance for the price. I'm currently running Titanfall and Need for Speed with no issues at all.

2. GPU Tweak gives much needed control over the video card

3. Aesthetically it looks very cool.

Cons: Cons:
1. This card is not MBox compatible. If you are an audio nerd like myself and you are running a peripheral audio interface, you may not want to use this card, or do some very careful research to see if it is compatible with your peripheral. After installing the drivers, I had a wonderful night with the blue screen of death. I only had about 90 seconds of stability after every boot. I spent several hours tracking down the problem. Turns out that the MBbox Mini driver and the Navida drivers were not getting along at all. I managed to uninstall the MBox driver, and I am currently running a stable configuration with the MBox and the video card with no MBox driver installed. This means I have no internal control over my MBox, not really a huge deal considering the MBox driver is pretty much worthless anyway and this is my gaming computer and not my ProTools workstation. Luckily I can still use the MBox so I can rock my gaming audio through some enormous Mackie Speakers =)

2. This card is huge. Make sure your power supply can handle this card and make sure you have enough space in your case. Seriously huge.

Other Thoughts: If the MBox Mini gave this video card such a hard time, I can't imagine how incompatible ProTools or a decent audio interface would be.

Otherwise, this video card is pretty slick.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: Immediately after i installed this card i started noticing differences in my games and it shows on the charts as up there with a bunch of $400-$600 gaming cards. was such a great deal for the power it's outputting. comes with some neat software for messing with and monitoring the specs of it, it's called ASUS Gpu Tweak.

Cons: Didnt come with a power cable(not a big deal) it requires a p4connection(i think is what it's called) and i had to get an adapter to fit in my 4 pin molex.

4 out of 5 eggsHad to return card #1 card #2 is still going

Pros: This is a good card, it preforms well and looks good while doing so. I play Battlefield 4 a lot and it handles it great. I run the game on high settings, the card could probably do Ultra settings but High is just fine for me. On Battlefield 3 on high settings I think it was doing around 50 fps. WoW looks fantastic with this card as well. It is not louder than my case fans and CPU fans so I cannot even hear it.

Cons: First card started "artifact-ing " after a month. It happened while I was watching a TV show and my monitor went to sleep and when I turned it back on there were green lines across the screen and the video driver would crash and would lock up the computer. Anyway, I got a replacement from Newegg and the second card is still going strong for almost 3 months now and I expect it to last for a while. Having to get a replacement is why I knocked off an egg.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a good card and I would recommend it. I have owned ASUS G & K series laptops and now an ASUS graphics card and so far all my ASUS products have been great.

The video card comes with ASUS/GeForce "GPU Tweak" software that allows you to increase the clock speed and such but I don't even have to use it because it does fine at stock speed. The software also lets you monitor temps, fan speeds and core usage.

5 out of 5 eggsIf it's not a DCII I won't buy it..

Pros: Its a DCII so you know it's going to stay cool no matter how hard you push it. Overclocks fairly well, looks nice in my Prodigy. Runs Titanfall silky smooth @ 1080p as long as you lower the AA. As always the cooler removes easily from PCB for re-paste, temps went from 60c at load to 57-58c which is a plus. Was able to buy this card @ $199.99 with coupon code.

Cons: 6 pin is in an awkward position, hard to remove due to cooler shroud but no biggie..

Other Thoughts: 3570K @ 4.6Ghz w/ Xigmatek Gaia
Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe
Asus GTX 660 DCII
2x 4GB Snipers @ 1866Mhz
2x Samsung Evo 250GB raided
Bitfenix Prodigy White
Bitfenix Fan Controller
4x Corsair Fans (120mm)
Samsung 27" LED @ 1080p

2 out of 5 eggsASUS GTX660

Pros: Was a great card for the price. Free game. Played all my games on high-ultra settings at cool temps.

Cons: After a little over a month of ownership I started receiving Windows TDR Driver errors non-stop. Would freeze up my display and had to run in safe mode. Uninstalled the drivers and reverted back to previous nvidia drivers. Still, the problem persists. I am now running off my integrated graphics and waiting for the RMA to go through with ASUS. I also bought a new, higher wattage PSU thinking it was possibly a power issue, and that was not the solution either. Hence the RMA.

Other Thoughts: Asus was very quick and responsive to my questions/concerns. Also had no problems with them accepting the card to be returned and fixed by them. Lets hope I receive a working card in return.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

I am sorry that you are having issues with your display card. If you would like an update in this case, please let me know through email. 3577247.

Mark
