5 out of 5 eggswanted a replacement for a gtx 760 .

Pros: First time owner of an Asus Graphics card. however I have been a long time fan of there ROG line products and own a few.

Cons: not a 760 which I had before . however on a super tight budget. the cards truly are similar with in a small percentage between the 2 . had to go cheaper because it's not wonderful when things die right before the holidays. had to eat ramen all week.. ha ha

Other Thoughts: If you are pinching pennies. this card is a very close runner up to a GTX 760

1 out of 5 eggsGot on fire

Pros: No Pros,I didn't have chance to see a pro, not even in a boot

Cons: The videoCrap literally got on fire at first boot, is not the first video card that i install, the only difference its a new computer i7 that has been working for months really good, and still working but now with out a slot to add another video card since this one burned it. Do not buy it ASUS DOESN'T COVER THIS AS WARRANTY, neither your house (thankGod wasn't on fire)

4 out of 5 eggspretty awesome

Pros: I bought 2 of these running them sli on my build and it runs everything I throw at without even trying. for the price and sli support Its a steal if it goes on sale

Cons: size and heat plate on the back were a bit awkward on my mobo and had to mess with it to get both to fit all the way in.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Money

Pros: This is an affordable card, that performs and has great overclocking potential. It runs quiet and cool and runs every game I've thrown at it in 1080p with a respectable fps. If your looking for something under $200 that will perform this is a great option.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This card can handle quite a bit, and you can always buy a second one and run in SLI and get even better performance. I only bring this up because if your building on a budget, but you can spend more later this is a great option.

1 out of 5 eggsGood when it works

Pros: Ran everything I wanted it to when it was working.

Cons: My card failed in a way that flashes a bunch of colored and white dots all over my screen, along with some other odd things. I called Asus, sent it back, and it was returned in a couple of weeks. When I got it back, there were no notes included telling me what they did or didn't find. I installed it and had the same problem. Called them again, sent it back again. Got the same card back a couple weeks later (S/N matched), with no notes. Installed it and didn't get through one game before it started with the dots and colors again. I don't overclock my equipment and keep everything very clean and in a large, well cooled case. It rarely even sees a gaming session, but as soon as I start up a game it fails again. I can't have my computer down for weeks at a time (no on-board video and I rely on my computer for work) so I gave up on Asus and ordered an EVGA video card, essentially throwing away all that money. I run a computer business and build a lot of machines in addition to recommending hardware to many others, so Asus has lost a lot of business with me. It's no secret that their customer service is bad but I always thought they made a good product and was hoping to never have to deal with a warranty claim. Don't make the same mistake I did.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for first build

Pros: Looks great, fits great, reasonably quiet. Runs all my games at max settings (war thunder, Black Flag, Far Cry 3, Empire and Shogun 2 Total War). I achieved 130 FPS on War Thunder. When I got it in March 2013, it came with Far Cry 3. Paid $150 and some change when it was on sale at another retailer.

Cons: None really besides the fact it wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: Have had it for a year when it was outdated by the 700's and it still works great.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes anything I ask it to.

Pros: This card will tackle any game you throw at it without any problems. Most of the games I play cap themselves off at 60 or 120 frames per second but this card will probably far exceed that. As long as your getting slightly more frames per second than your monitor can display you are ok and this card is very capable of that. It is also a very attractive card and keeps pretty cool. I have a case with 3 120 mm intake fans and 2 140 mm out fans so maybe that is why.

Cons: It is a bit out dated. I don't recommend buying this card because the gtx 800's are coming out which will make the 700's more affordable.

Other Thoughts: If you already own this card the dual sli feature will be great when you want to upgrade because you can just buy the latest generation of this model and connect them up and possible triple your frames.

5 out of 5 eggsIts a good comprimise

Pros: I'm not a numbers/benchmark freak so getting the highest mark scores I really don't care. That said on wow I'm set on ultra and getting 100fps.
In watchdogs with most settings on ultra I'm getting 50fps.
I've OC it to 1200mhz and it runs steady at 41C

Cons: Its not the biggest baddest card

Other Thoughts: For the casual to moderate gamers this is the perfect compromise in price/performance. You get pretty good 1080P gaming, blu ray and loss-less codecs come thru perfectly. I was tuck between this card and the r9 270x since I've alway bought ATI. Honestly the free copy of watchdogs was the final decision since ATI games are just garbage. I was a server PITA to redeem the copy but it works and the card performs great

Asus z97-a boasrd
intel I-5 4670k OC to 4ghz
Corsair 1866 memory OC to 2ghz
Samsung 840 250gb SSD
this card

Notura 12p cooler
