5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card -

Pros: This card fit in my HP Pavillion 6277c . I did have to upgrade the power supply . The minimum power supply for this card is 350w (mine was only 300w). I went overboard because i saw a great deal and installed a 600w power supply. This graphics card brought my windows experience index from 3.5 to 7.1. The integrated graphics on my motherboard was very poor which had always kept my index low. Overall i am very satisfied, it was my first time installing a graphics card in this rig and had no problems.

Cons: No cons thus far

Other Thoughts: This card is very physically large so make sure you have room for it. I installed it in a mid size tower without an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsPassive and works great

Pros: I built a passive "no fans" pc and wanted BIG video and got it from this card. At the time of purchase, about 7 months ago, it was the most powerful passive video card I could find. I run dual monitor HD at it and it doesn't faze it.

Cons: none. buy it and be very happy.

5 out of 5 eggsHDMI 1.4a!

Pros: Fanless video, dead silent in this near-fanless machine, fanless power supply, with only a slow-rotating 120mm fan on an enormous CPU cooler. Cannot hear this machine over the sound of the air from the heating vents, as it should be in my mixing room.

Windows index rose from 5.4 to 7.1.
Best news is that the HDMI port is driving a 24" Dell 2405FPW monitor at 1920x1200; this is only possible with a 1.4a spec HDMI port, even though that is not listed in the card specs. Also, no additional power was needed; the card has no external power connector. Installed in an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Rev 1 mainboard with a FX-8350 8-core, 125W TDP processor, 16 GB of Corsair DRAM, 120 GB OCZ Agility system drive, Samsung EVO-500 GB working drive, and WD RE-edition 4TB storage HDD, plus numerous USB and USB-3 external devices including a MIDI controller, mixer hardware interface, two mice, three monitor hubs, two external USB-3 HDDs and a card reader.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Running this in a Windows 7-64 Cubase 8.0 DAW system with three monitors; in addition to the Dell 24" for windows system and plugin monitoring, there are two Dell 30" 3007WFP 2560x1600 monitors for tracking display and software mixer operation. All three displays feel very quick and responsive, a big improvement over the previous two-card solution

2 out of 5 eggsawkwardly sized...

Pros: Nice build quality..., one of the very few options for a higher performance AND fanless card.

Cons: Right up front: This review is a commentary on the card's physical dimensions and the problems they present, and not on the function of the card as it relates to display/graphic operations.

Next: Before you purchase this card, it might be worth double checking that you have sufficient space to accommodate its height. From the motherboard surface, to the top edge of this card, is a distance of appx 5.75in. The manufacturer states a total height of 6.1in, which is around 1in higher than many conventional cards w/ fans.

Finally: In some ways, I have myself to blame. On the first installation go around, it was into an existing mini-tower/micro-atx case (a cheap CoolerMaster Elite 360 I happened to have).

I just didn't realize there could be a problem..., I didn't check the dimensions of the card beforehand..., my bad.

Heck, I wanted a new case anyways...

The problem is that case manufacturers are not consistent wrt their disclosure of internal dimensions of their cases..., so sometimes..., you have to make an educated guess..., which I thought I did..., BZZZZZ! Wrong!

The 2nd case, the Lian Li PC-V351B didn't work either.

I'm sure it would work w/ a full tower and probably some mid-towers..., but that's not the form factor I was after.

So..., I'm only giving this card two stars because while it might be a functionally great card in some ways, its dimensions seriously limit installation possibilities.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Black Friday with Rebate Price!!!!
Powered by the PCI slot, no need for a power supply lead.
Fastest GPU without a fan.
Windows Experience Index Graphics is 7.1 with this card.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The end price I expect to pay(rebate), ~$50, made this card choice a no-brainer.

Asus P8Z77 PRO
8G Corsair (dual)
Asus GTX 640
120G SSD OCZ

VS: PS3

Game:Skyrim (only title I have for both machines)

My machine with this video card performs significantly better than the PS3.

NOTE:
Had a long running Win7-64 install on the machine. Nvidia drivers would crash the system just after the logo clover and result in a black screen.
Fix was a wipe of the primary drive and a clean install of Win7-64 with the card installed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card! runs 3 Monitors 2x DVI and 1 HDMI

Pros: Great Card, no need for extra power supply or updating oem supply.

Cons: big card

Other Thoughts: Great card, worked from the moment i plugged in, card is well built and no need for extra power supply. I have a i5 desktop from Fr y's and needed to run 3 40' Vizios as my monitors. Works like a charm. Quite operation and no hassle to upgrade. I got another card but it had need 400watts of power and the oem power supply couldnt be upgrade because the mobo had 16 pin proprietary power supply. Great card, and runs smoothly for my daily business tasks.

4 out of 5 eggsSilent

Pros: Card itself is not too big, but the heatsink is massive and thats what I wanted - something that would be silent in my business workstation. This replaced an old dual-head Matrox video card. As long as this unit doesnt fail then I am a happy camper.

Cons: None (yet).

5 out of 5 eggsA good budget card

Pros: First off it doesn't have the greatest performance but it is a great card for a budget! I have had it for about 5 months and it a great for alot of games like Borderlands 2, Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The passive cooling does a good job and since it has no fans that's a plus not hearing any fans running at full rpm. Also the Asus GPU tweak is a nice feature it comes with on the disc.

Cons: none so far.

1 out of 5 eggsNo More ASUS

Pros: None that I've noticed

Cons: Too time consuming trying to work through various problems.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this graphic card and an Asus H87M-Pro board. I have never had a build cause me so much time and trouble. After years of using Intel boards I decided to try ASUS products. Never again!
