3 out of 5 eggsNOT FOR USE IN OLDER PCS

This review is from: ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Beautiful looking card and would be wonderful for a new PC.

Cons: DOES NOT WORK IN OLDER COMPUTERS THAT HAVE PCI EXPRESS 2.0 OR LESS!

Other Thoughts: I'm sure this card is excellent but it does NOT work in older computers that only have PCI Express 2.0. I bought this to upgrade an older Windows Vista machine (Dell Inspiron 530) for a client in a small doctors office. After installation of drivers (I tried the ones on disc as well as many different drivers from the Nvidia site) I would get black screen on boot no matter what I tried. I had to RMA this card and I am going to order something older (PCI Express 2.0) to ensure it works properly. Some cards have backwards compatibility, this one DOES NOT.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this Card

This review is from: ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Great card, Had since Feb. of last Yea, and have had no issues. The monitoring software included is great, and the only game I haven't been able to play on the highest settings is Arma 3(Had to set to Medium).Everything else(WoW, LoL, DayZ, ESO, FFXIV, Battlefield 4, Skyrim you name it) This card runs flawless.

Cons: It's rather bulky. When I installed, it blocked the pci-e port on my motherboard that I was planning on installing a wireless card into.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the price, would recommend!

1 out of 5 eggsSystem Crashes Every Time I Start a Game With It

This review is from: ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: When it does work, I have nice graphics and good detail in games

Cons: Crashes my System and gives me a green/blue screen every time I play a game! its mostly related to Nvidia's drivers.
Unfortunately the crashes began after the 30 days Newegg return policy and I can no longer exchange it for return.

Other Thoughts: I've already consulted a computer expert on the problem, and he agrees that its the video card drivers causing the problem. Resetting the PC, and every other fix has failed.

4 out of 5 eggsgood mid range card

This review is from: ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: runs fairly quite and cool. gets power from MB pci-e slot and has vga/d-sub, dvi and hmdi connections so no extra power cables or connection adapters are needed. I only got rid of it cuz I upgraded to a 680.

Cons: not really good for overclocking I believe as it gets power over the motherboard via the pci-e slot.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus GTX 650 2GB

This review is from: ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: - Good GPU for the price I paid
- Plays most of my games on Ultra which shows its made for high settings

Cons: -The coolers fan felt a little flimsy like it was going to break under load

Other Thoughts: In my build its not the bottleneck, the bottleneck being the PCI express slot is the bottleneck. The 1 GB was slightly cheaper, but I opted to pay the slightly higher amount for that extra GB and I'm glad I did

1 out of 5 eggsFried Money

This review is from: ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Nice small size for what it is.

Cons: Too expensive, under powered

Other Thoughts: I had this card for a little over a month now and the card itself just died in my computer on 3/25/2014. The performance was pathetic for 320ish cuda cores while playing Garry's Mod. Currently I'm running off of the computer APU for the graphics. ASUS I am disappointed in the graphics card that you are selling.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

I am sorry that you are having issues with the display card. If I may, I would like to help. Please contact me through email, including the serial number within the subject line, and we can discuss this case further. 3577235.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value!

This review is from: ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Requires no PCI-E power cable from your power supply to use, only needs the power off the motherboard which I thought was a nice touch. Getting 50+ FPS on high, while playing BF4 @1920*1080. Worth the money, great entry card.

Cons: I dont really care for the smaller one fan design on a 2gb gpu, somehow never convinces me that it sufficiently cools it. I dont like NVIDIA control panel software, I had the AMD Catalyst drivers before and their interface is much nicer to use IMOP.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid card for the price.

This review is from: ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Got this baby to replace a Radeon 6570 HD 1gb and it's a definite improvement. Got Black Ops and the 6570 ran an avg of 20fps on medium-low setting, this card more than doubles the performance.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: If you need a solid gaming card on a budget, what are you waiting for? This is it.
