4 out of 5 eggsWorks just fine.

Pros: Worked right out of the box, no extra power needed. Duels with AMD APUs (A6, A8, and A10).

Although it doesn't crossfire with my brothers A4, my bad, actually did bring my brother's to Rift settings to medium-high at playable frame rates (20s-30). An improvment over th iGPU of his A4 which only let him play at low settings. So he thought it was worth the purchase.

Cons: Not so cheap considering some R7s cost about the same? Kinda old chipset / model now a days. Almost out of stock?

Other Thoughts: This will crossfile with most higher end APUs but I got it for my brothers A4-5400, which turns out only crossfires with an 6450. You live, you learn, and you put it in the other thoughts for others to learn from your mistakes.

Good luck.

3 out of 5 eggsGood HTPC card - BAD FAN - Replace with 60/80mm with zip ties

Pros: Low Profile is great for affordable HTPC setups. I had a AMD 4350 that just couldn't handle the 3D ISO movies. Upgraded and this has no problem with smooth playback. Also games well at on my recently replaced 720p TV. Mainly Xbox controlled games like Dirt3, Rayman Origins, Sonic All Stars Transformed.

Cons: THE FAN is terrible. It started making ticking bearing noises within 6months. Ordered a replacement ASUS fan off a auction site and that lasted about 3months. Searched all around for replacement cooler options. Then I remembered I have a ton of extra PC hardware laying around. I applied ArticSilver5 , removed the old fan (and put the three tiny screws back into their holes so I wouldn't lose them), used 2 small zip ties and easily attached 60mm fan(low profile but uses two slots, 80mm fan will work too but in full width cases). Problem solved, no more $10 replacement fans that burn out in no time. Just slap a quiet 60mm or 80mm fan directly on top of the heatsink and now has excellent temps. I even ran Furmark in my warm HTPC case and didn't go over 55c. Good heatsink, bad fan. Just replace with quality 60mm or 80mm if you have room underneath the card since it will use up an extra PCI slot.

Other Thoughts: I am happy with the gaming performance I get out of it, I have it paired up with some old hardware (Core2 1.86ghz, 4gb DDR2, SSD 60gb, 1TB HDD) and it games great.

4 out of 5 eggsNice card if you replace the fan

Pros: FPCAP Polymer Capacitors - Should last a very long time
Reasonably fast - Does everything I need it to
Overclocks well - All the way to the driver's limit for me
Huge amount of VRAM - Twice as much as my main RAM
Potted coils - Haven't heard any whining from the VRMs

Cons: Fan started making noise about a month after I got it. It's been about a year since then and it still works, it's just very noisy.

Other Thoughts: I would have paid more for a better fan.

3 out of 5 eggsGood card but has some quirks

Pros: Good solid feel. Heatsink is heavy construction. I do think it keeps temps a bit cooler.

Overclocking provides good performance over another 6570 card I own.

Cons: Low Profile card, but comes with no interchangeable plates for low profile use.

Less than a week old with fan speeds averaging 20-30% it has a strange fan bushing/brushes rattle sound that is very noticeable with my compact pc case.

If you manually move up the fan speeds it goes away.

Other Thoughts: I like the performance I'm seeing with this card and the ability to overclock to a decent core speed is great. Good solid components with exception of the fan.

The lack of the additional low profile bracket and the fan noise was a bit disappointing.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: On my old dell optiplex 320 windows experience went from 2.0 graphica and 3.1 gaming graphics to 6.6 in both fields

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 automatically download drivers for card without me having to use disk or web to get them.
