A new contender in the GeForce GTX 600 series, the GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST is designed for PC users and gamers wanting 1920x1080 gaming with high-detail settings at a great price. Compared with the 928MHz base clock and 128-bit memory interface of early released GeForce GTX 650 Ti, the GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST is an evolved version that features 980MHz base clock and 192-bit memory interface, highly acclaimed GPU BOOST technology that pushes core clock to 1033MHz, and 2-way SLI technology.

This ASUS GTX650TIB-DC2OC-2GD5 card features OC-selected 1085MHz core - a 52MHz increase - for smoother gameplay. Premium alloys in power delivery components defeat the heat and last two and a half times longer than their predecessors. Dual fans with direct-contact copper heatpipes ensure superior cooling capability and ultra low noise level. The proven ASUS build quality and reliability rounds out the reason why this card is a must-have!

  • newegg DirectCU II Flattened copper heatpipes make direct contact with GPU surfaces so heat is dissipated more efficiently, delivering 20% cooler and vastly quieter performance than reference.
  • newegg Super Alloy Power Exclusively-formulated alloy components boost performance by reducing power loss, enhancing durability, and achieving cooler operation. Choked concrete cores eliminate buzzing sound under full load while capacitors assure a 50,000-hour lifespan - equivalent to 2.5 times longer than traditional capacitors.
  • newegg GPU Tweak GPU Tweak utility helps you modify and tune clocks (including new boost clock settings), power consumption targets, voltages, and fan performance via an intuitive interface. Detailed specs and actual card status are available with GPU-Z. Monitoring widget provides real-time and detailed multi-parameter info. 2D/3D switcher can lock the card in 3D mode for higher benchmarks. Automatically check and update drivers and BIOS versions.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Push the breathtaking performance of the GeForce GTX graphics cards to new levels with NVIDIA GPU Boost. This technology dynamically maximizes clock speeds to bring out the best performance in every game.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive V-Sync Get more than just faster frame rates. Get ultra-smooth gaming every time with NVIDIA gaming innovations, Adaptive Vertical Sync. This technology dynamically adjusts Vsync to current frame rates for maximum playability.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: relatively inexpensive
good starter card for gaming
not a single problem for the time ive had it

Cons: somewhat large but average for card of this caliber

Other Thoughts: this was my first card, and although i am upgrading, i could still easily go another few years with this card

5 out of 5 eggsAsus Boost

Pros: Bang/Buck - High

Cons: not the best Overclocking card

Other Thoughts: I purchased 2 of these and threw them into SLI and got some great performance depending on the situation. Some games scale perfectly and beat out or match the 670 . My cards cannot overclock very well as they become unstable if i try going over the stock gaming setting built into Asus's GPU Boost software. But playing a game like Skyrim with 2k textures and other various mods is easily done at 60+FPS on ultra

3 out of 5 eggsworked great till it died

Pros: could run anything you throw at it on ultra. lowest FPS i ever got was around 35. but averaged 70+ fps which is more than your eye can see so who cares about more to be honest. was quite. was everything i needed.

Cons: The build of the card was flimsy and while the cooling tubes looked nice IMO the fan seemed to wiggle off. then out of no where the HDMI quit on me. After doing rebooting and reinstalling nothing made the video come back. for 150 i cant complain. just sad how it failed.

Other Thoughts: great card, but short life, I did run the card into the ground some nights but, for what i was running i feel i shoulda got another year out of it at least. hopefully my new card will hold up longer. Good Buy for a cheap build, but there seem to be a lot of problems with the HDMI ports after moderate use.

3 out of 5 eggsDied after 4 months

Pros: This seemed like a great buy, when I was shopping for parts, for my homebuild. The rebate was also a great incentive.

For the price, I got everything asked for: a nice graphics board that handled everything like a champ. Before it died, my PC gave me PSU errors and multiple reboots. I feel fortunate that the problems didn't progress to the point of losing any other components. I'm requesting an RMA and hope that this fixes the problem.

Cons: Stopped working after four months, which is disappointing for an ASUS product.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Put this in my wife's HP Pheonix. Came from factory with eh graphics card. It now runs WOW on Ultra 70-80 FPS. She only turns down to high during Raids. Very pleased with this card. Plug in update drivers and ready to go, simple.

Cons: Doesn't make coffee.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted

Pros: After opening and installing drivers card was running most all of my games on max settings (BF4 was the only one i had to run on high). Had very little amounts of lag and typical issues for low-medium end GPU that was fixed with the new update of Nvidia Geforce experience.

Cons: Like i said, card worked great for about 2 weeks, then it all went downhill. Card started freezing and causing blue and red checkered screens. After doing some research i noticed a few people had the same problem and their problems were solved by wiping the drivers and re-installing them. I tried every option i could think of and with the help of some friends we determined the card was defective.

Other Thoughts: I gave this 4 eggs because the card was great while it lasted and am currently in the process of RMA. If RMA goes well i will keep the eggs and if not i will probably never buy another ASUS GPU, just stick to their MOBOs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ASUS card

Pros: I got this card and I love it. Installation was easy and works flawlessly. Asus continues to impress me.

Cons: What is up with Newegg this year? My card arrived three days late and is now out of stock!

Other Thoughts: I have shopped Newegg for years, but I think their customer service is slower this year, so if the card comes back in stock get it while you can.

2 out of 5 eggsNote: They will not honor rebate

Pros: Card was huge upgrade from 4670, stays cool

Cons: Had freezing issues that seem to have been solved with driver wipe and install. Asus lost some of my documentation once I sent it in and did not honor the rebate. The rebate center didn't get back to my emails and the Customer Service was of no help to this issue.

Other Thoughts: If you are buying this card because of the rebate value I would skip on this. Asus service was very shady dealing with my claim.

4 out of 5 eggsGood video cards

Pros: - Very quiet
- Only requires 1 x 6-pin PCIe connector
- High clocks
- Quality Samsung GDDR5
- Heatsink and fan cool the core very well

Cons: - Mediocre performance at 1080p

Other Thoughts: Physically the video card is great, no issues with ASUS design. It boosts nicely to 1241MHz with a little bit of overclocking. Card barely hits 64C even when overclock, RAM can hit 6750MHz easily.
I tested mostly with Starcraft 2 HOTS which is not very demanding. The PC has an i5 3570 CPU and 8GB of RAM. SC2 performance was mediocre at 1080p. Frames/sec dropped all the way down to 1fps when the game was running with many units on the map. I can't imagine it will do much better with the newer DX11 FPS type games.
I would invest a little more money for a GTX 660/670.
