5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got this to replace an aging GTX 560 Ti.

Slotted it in, booted up, global driver picked it up and I was good to go within minutes. No additional setup required.

VERY quiet. Not hearing the GPU fans roaring when under load was a breath of fresh air.

Cons: It's a big. Had to rearrange the drives in my tower in order to give it enough space. Minor detail, but make sure you properly account for its dimensions if you don't have much breathing room.

Other Thoughts: If you're trying to choose between the 770 and 780, get the 770. Best bang for buck and you won't be missing the extra power from the 780 for most practical gaming purposes.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible RMA

Pros: When it works it is great for 1080p gaming. I get around 60 fps in star citizen maxed. Maxes BF3 out with around 80 fps. Pretty quiet but that doesn't matter for me. High to ultra with every game basically.

Cons: Alright so I got this for a christmas present and didnt get to use it until I got back from my vacation which was right when my newegg RMA expired. So I go to use it and every thing goes great until I load up a game. I play on ultra and am just thinking about how amazing it looks. Then bam my PC crashes. I reinstall my drivers try everything. Check my RAM with various linux ram testing Operating systems all good. check CPU A okay. Contact MOBO RMA its not them either. I know its not psu as I tried multiple others and still same issues. So I notify ASUS in January. I ship it off with high hopes. they have it for around a week or two. and then send it back. and same issue. This goes on for 6 MONTHS! until someone sets up a cross ship where they send you new card and then you send you're card and keep the new one. And then it works so. The asus overclockiong software worked great for a while now it is giving some very odd issues so I have to use afterburner.

Other Thoughts: Ask for cross ship in an RMA
The green LED's for power really suck for red color schemes.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card for the money

Pros: - Powerful for the money
- Reliable
- Quiet
- Easy to overclock

Cons: - It's large
- Requires 2x PCI-E power cables
- Still not cheap

Other Thoughts: It's ran for 13 months without a single issue. The overclocking software is extremely easy to use, even to those without techy knowledge.

I upgraded from a GTX560 and was really impressed with the performance increase with the GTX770. I bought the GTX770 when it was still $415 and it still chews up every game.

If you're looking to upgrade to a new GPU but not willing or able to drop $800 for a titan, this card will serve you well.

2 out of 5 eggscrapped out after 7 months

Pros: Great card and chip

Cons: after about 7 months of owning this card, seems like its crapping out. I upgraded my mobo and CPU recently to try and help relieve the bottleneck so my 770 can shine, but now it just randomly resets my whole computer during gaming. Its weird too, but I can run furmark, and unigine heaven benchmarks no problem, the video card just chews through that, but the second i get into a video game that I want to play and enjoy, it just blackscreens and posts. currently talking to ASUS and they've helped me troubleshoot things, but so far it looks like there is something wrong with the card, or the firmware on it, or the drivers. I just boot up TERA for a few minutes on the 770 and it dies, everytime. I uninstalled all my nvidia drivers and popped in my old hd 5850 amd card, and go into TERA and its fine. In fact, my 5 year old video card kinda makes TERA looks better.

The frustration is incredible

Other Thoughts: hopefully asus honors their supposed 3 year warranty, I bought mine from newegg brand new, not used or open box or anything

5 out of 5 eggsUpgraded from 760—that’s right, a 760

Pros: Upgraded from 760—that’s right, a 760
And believe me, it is an upgrade. I had the 760 4 gig card and it was fine, but then my roommate got one, and I have to have a better card than him. (Just being honest) I play at 1080p in my games, and ran GPU-Z for days on end, maxing out all my games, playable or not, just to see if the 760 would ever break 2Gig ram usage. RESULTS: I peaked at 1865MB RAM usage (BF4 did it) So just like ‘the internets’ said, 4Gig of RAM when only playing on one monitor at 1080p, is a waste. So I pulled the trigger on the 770 2Gig here. As if 90FPS Ultra in BF4 was not enough, now, I can actually ditch junky AA in BF4 and crank up the resolution scale to 200% with 40 frames! (The 760 was a slideshow at 200%)- That’s the difference between the 760 and 770. Of course 40FPS is unacceptable so I backed it off to 120% reso scale and the game plays like wet glass at 120FPS easily, and now I can’t blame ‘lag’ for my horrible aim.

Cons: Reveals my aim actually does suck in FPS.--This card is big..duh…they have been big for 6 years now…next question.

Other Thoughts: If you are on the fence about 760 vs 770, go for the 770. This card hit 80c peak (I run my fans at 100% via MSI afterburner) and it is quiet as noted by several other reviews. The sounds of machine gun fire drown out any noise anyway and I don’t play in a library, so I don’t care how loud my computer is, BUT, I did test it (760 was EVGA and was a lot louder at 100% fan speed if you care)
In summary-Go with nVidia because of driver support-Go with ASUS because these heat pipes are actually mounted on the chip AND comes with backplate-Don’t care about the free game-Don’t buy based off of rebates ever. If you play at 1080 on one monitor and don’t need 50 gigs of textures to play SKYRIM, this 2 Gig 770 fit’s the bill.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Great card so far. Runs cool, quiet, fast

Cons: none yet.

Other Thoughts: I've always used reference cards before in an attempt to keep my case temps low. I have to say that I am impressed with how cool this card is running (stays below 60c gaming, lower than 30c idle in an antec900 case). Also there is no increase in case temps after switching from an outdated gtx 280 reference model that vented all exhaust outside the case. I'm really surprised, it seems like my overall temperatures are lower. Loving this card so far.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice card

Pros: I found it easy to install. Less than 3 minutes for the physical install and the software was very easy to use as well. Performs wonderfully and I can see the difference in rendering and fps in contrast to my old 6970.

Cons: The Watchdogs game code came back as already in use so was a complete waste

Other Thoughts: Other than the #%^ Watchdogs coupon none. The card is everything I hoped for and more
