1 out of 5 eggsThermal problems

Pros: Attracted by low price, but in this case you don't get what you pay for, or $309.00 when I purchased it. That said, I remain a fan of ASUS products in general, though this is the first video card I've purchased from ASUS.

Cons: I received this card in early December 2013 (4 months ago) and it has been failing ever since. After 5 - 10 hours on the phone with ASUS, and two RMA cycles, the card still locks up my PC in less than hour. It locked up while playing Star Wars: the Old Republic; Diablo III, and League of Legends. The video card was brought to a Microsoft TechNet friend of mine and he tried it in his PC where it proceeded to lock-up his PC. He loaned me a Radeon HD6870 and this card runs the games just fine in my PC. Anyway, I received the ASUS card back from the second repair cycle a few days ago after providing ASUS detailed information on the crash circumstances and the card continues to lock up my PC. I'd provide screen shots here, but the computer is locked up requiring a reboot to return any functionality, thereby precluding screen shots.
I had hoped ASUS would be able to repair it, but it doesn't seem like they've done anything except to humor me and cause that I've paid to ship them the card two times. I now hope that Newegg will make it right.

5 out of 5 eggsWorthy Purchase

Pros: I went from a ASUS DirectCU II GTX 560 Ti and this card is major upgrade. I purchase this card because I wanted to be able to push the next-gen games. That will not be a problem with this card. It runs cool, I have done multiple benchmarks and it just chews right through them, staying under 80c. Solid ASUS product but that is to be expected, which is why I buy their hardware.

Good overclock potential as well. Using ASUS GPU Tweak, I have the GPU boost at 1260MHz, stable running at 1306MHz in game. Memory was stable at 7,700MHz. That is WITHOUT any changes to the GPU voltage! Pretty impressive indeed.

Cons: Mine came with the free game "Daylight" which I cannot complain about but the game doesnt look like its going to push the card too much. Screenshots and videos dont look that great.

The card is also 11" long and may be a tight squeeze in some PC cases.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing in every aspect

Pros: It's a DCII so you know that the cooler is second to none. Overclocks better than most 770's, over-volts easily using AB and it stays cool no matter how hard you push it. Looks awesome paired with a Hero VI and snipers.

Cons: Users that have no knowledge on how to remove old drivers and give the card a bad review because of a simple bsod. Users that don't update the mobo bios and send the card back (RMA) cause it wouldn't post. These users should be banned from posting reviews.

Other Thoughts: Currently playing Titanfall maxxed out @ 1080p with the exception of AA which is at x4. Solid 60FPS with no dips, very happy with this purchase. Waiting on a second one for 144hz testing on a new monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsWorrisome

Pros: It works

Cons: Might not work for long

Other Thoughts: Worked perfectly after I first bought it, but lately I've seen texture stretching in two separate games and another graphical glitch in a browser every so often.

I'm worried the card will fail eventually.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Product, Bad Rebate Policy

Pros: The card itself is nothing to complain about. Runs well, fairly cool with relatively low noise (compared to the rest of my setup). If you are looking for a GTX770 I would not skip over this product.

Cons: If you are considering this product over another and the rebate is your determining factor then choose the other card. My claim was denied even after having all the paper work I was supplied with specifically for the transaction and had no way to correct what they deemed as missing paperwork. I would expect more from a top company especially when the customer goes to the trouble to try and claim the small $10 rebate. Just be careful as they will deny you for forgetting to dot an i or crossing a t. A little disappointed in them but just compare product for product when looking at this card.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good enough to play all the latest games on ULTRA settings.

Cons: NOISY>>>>> It makes a weird noise when ever I start playing my games. It is marketed as the silent in its class where as it is quite the contraty.

Other Thoughts: I am sure there are other cards like the one from Gigabyte or EVGA which are much silnet.

2 out of 5 eggs4th time the card has caused a crash

Pros: -Quiet
-Runs most of the games I normally play without issue (LOL, TF2, Civ V)
-No problems for the 1st 4 months.

Cons: When I play any game that is even slightly more intensive than my normal rotation (Witcher 2 on High & Ultra setting/BioShock: Burial at Sea 2 on Ultra. Resolution 1680x1050) the card has crashed. At this point I think I'm going to RMA. First time I bought an Asus card and I'm not feeling confident in the product.

Other Thoughts: Relevant Specs:
i5-750
G-Skill 8gig 1866
OCZ 650w

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

Thank you for purchasing an ASUS product.

Typically a display card would not cause a system to crash. In most cases when an error or crash happen in Windows, it can be explained by a driver conflict. Moreover, I would suggest removing any previous display drivers installed on the computer. By doing this, it should resolve the problem. Should you need any assistance in this matter, please let me know through email. 3577223.

4 out of 5 eggsNice card but.....

Pros: Powerful card! runs very cool, 60c at max load after hours of play.

Cons: Terrible drivers from NVidia.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to run Falcon BMS and the drivers are junk for this game. AMD/ATI never has these issues and I am wishing I would have went that route. I also had issues with the screen blanking out. This issue has to do with GEForce experience software. To stop it from doing this I had to uninstall, clean the system of all NVidia software, directories and registry entries and re-install in custom mode using only the driver and CUDA installs then it was working fine. If you are a Falcon BMS flyer stay away from this card until better drivers come out.

2 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: - Excellent performance
- Easy to use multi-display setup

Cons: - Dead after 6 months

Other Thoughts: Very disappointed with this card. It worked great until I started gaming with it. I had it in my work pc for 6 months, never really gaming it. The day after I used it in F1 2013 it died. My ASUS 5850 is still going strong years later, so not sure what happened to this one?

Manufacturer Response:
