DirectCU II
ASUS exclusively engineered DirectCU II technology to provide a cooler and quieter thermal solution. DirectCU II utilizes five copper pipes in direct contact with the GPU to quickly dissipate heat to high conductivity aluminum heat sink. Along with two 80mm fans to provide up to six times more airflow than the reference design, ASUS DirectCU II cooling solution can provide up to 20% cooling operations and is up to two times quieter.

Super Alloy Power
The expertly-designed Super Alloy Power and Direct Power technology uses specially formulated alloy for key power delivery components to deliver stable and reliable power to the GPU.

ASUS exclusive Super Alloy Power utilizes specially-formulated alloy inside the power delivery components to provide a more stable and quieter operation compared to reference design. The specially-formulated alloy is highly-magnetic, heat-resistant and anti-corrosive. Super Alloy Power can increase lifespan two and a half times while operating up to 35 degrees cooler. With Super Hybrid Engine to intelligently monitor and control power management, Super Alloy Power graphics cards are able to deliver up to a 15% performance boost.
DirectPower
The introduction of Direct Power technology allows for better flow of electrons through the PCB to ensure lower impedance while reducing PCB temperatures by up to 17%.

3 out of 5 eggsIt lasted, but not as long as many...

Pros: It did it's job, unlike a previous card I ordered and was defective upon receiving it (and I wasn't fully refunded) it worked properly.

It ran the games I currently play well enough.

Cons: It would get pretty hot, maxing out at 65c sometimes even with both fans running at max speed.

It didn't run new or current games at as high a framerate I had hoped.

It started having issues about 1year & 4months in, with it's final death throes happening around now (1year & 8months) which is a lot faster than almost any card I've had. Didn't even overclock this thing.

It's fans were pretty loud.

Other Thoughts: Maybe other people will have a better chance with this card, but it sure as hell didn't last long at all and I can't even afford a new card for the competitive gaming I take part in.

3 out of 5 eggsGood up until coil whine

Pros: Card installed and worked right out of the box with no issues. Card cooled properly and maintained acceptable temperatures. Played all of the games I wanted to at high to ultra settings.

Cons: Had the card for a little less than a month before it started having coil whine. Started out only whining during some games, but eventually coil whined anytime it was powered on.

Other Thoughts: I RMA'd the card back to newegg and ended up replacing it with the MSI GTX760 4G and it has been working great ever since. Newegg support was great and I had no issues sending it back.

3 out of 5 eggsGood card,but...

Pros: very good card for 1080p gaming, could run nearly all my games on max setting without any issues

Cons: started experiencing graphic flickering/game crashes along with coil whine around 50fps and higher. spent the time to make sure that no other part of my computer was causing this issue and recently filled out an RMA in hopes i can at least get a replacement or refund

Other Thoughts: I really hope Asus doesn't give me a hard time with this RMA, its a really good card and i want to eventually give it 5 stars.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card!

Pros: Awesome card. Runs cool, handles every game I've thrown at it with max settings, even Skyrim.

Cons: No windows aero support, a little disappointed there, but still a fantastic card for $200 when I got it on sale.

1 out of 5 eggsIs it just me or ?

Pros: none

Cons: Is it just me but the only people that Asus anwers to are the people that give it a high rating, I just spent a little over $200.00 for a boat anchor. And its not the motherboard which is also Asus with some older SLI cards and it worked fine, all I was trying to do was a little upgrade..

Other Thoughts: After the next upgrade you can bet it won't be Asus

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsNo SLI

Pros: One card runs fine but not in SLI, it crashes every game I try to play, it will not get past the start loading of the game. This is with the latest games Call of Duty Advance Warfare, and older Crysis 3

Cons: If I set it up in a SLI all my games will crash causing me to reboot , but only using the one in line one it plays just fine, so buying the second one was just a waste of money

Other Thoughts: When you buy a middle class GPU you expect it to work but not in the case of this one .. I even switched them making the first one to second but will work as a single card but not in an SLI

Pros: Powerful card that runs quiet and cool.

Runs Rome 2 at Ultra settings zero lag as well as CSGO

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: An amazing, quiet, affordable video card that can run anything I throw at it on high to ultra settings.

Cons: This graphics card has some VERY MINOR Coil/Capacitor whine problems, it's not a deal breaker in any way, just scary the first time you hear it.
Also the Price has changed since I got it, once $256, now $499. I was looking to get a second one for SLI, but the price is way too high- More expensive than the GTX 960, by Asus.

Other Thoughts: Over all Good graphics card- bad price.
