DirectCU II
Award-winning DirectCU II design continues to bring cooler and quieter operation to each generation of graphics cards. DirectCU II continues to combine the efficiency of direct contact copper heatpipes with the GPU, massive heatsink, and two fans to dissipate heat quickly. With different demands for power and temperature, ASUS exclusive DirectCU II now comes in a variety of flavors to bring at least 20% cooler performance while maintaining a standard in quiet operations.
GeForce GTX 780 DirectCU II
DirectCU II Featuring a 10mm Heatpipe
The ASUS GeForce GTX 780 DirectCU II OC graphics card features a 10mm heatpipe instead of the conventional 8mm width. This particular variation boosts overall heat dissipation by up to 40% compared to the reference design, delivering 30% cooler and three times quieter operation.

Super Alloy Power & Digi + VRM
The application of DIGI+VRM integrates a 10-phase power design to use digital voltage regulators to minimize power noise level by 30% and enhance power efficiency by 15%. DIGI+VRM is designed with wider voltage modulation tolerance to improve overall stability as well as increase overclocking potential.
Multi-Directional CoolTech Fan
The CoolTech fan moves air downward and outward with its dual, integrated blade design offering wider and more consistent airflow to maintain cooler and quieter operation.
Included Backplate
Included backplate provides protection and support while increasing heat dissipation from the PCB.

5 out of 5 eggsNo sli needed !!!

Pros: absolutely the most silent card I have ever owned.. the overclocking capabilities are awesome.. run every game at max settings and not even a little hiccup. Originally bought 2 of these for sli but there was no need!

Cons: haha! not possible with this card

Other Thoughts: this card is mated up with an asus z97 sabertooth, I7 4790k, 32gig of memory, and Samsung 840 evo 1tb. windows scored this setup an 8.8 and I haven't overclocked anything yet. :)

5 out of 5 eggsThis card rocks.

Pros: This thing is a real power house. After I had it installed I loaded up every great looking PC game I could think of and maxed out all the settings super ultra duper high and it runs like a dream. In my attempt to get it to stutter I threw in the best looking graphics mods I could find for Skyrim, GTA4, the Crysis games, and Far Cry 3. Still, never went below 60FPS. I know I could have spent three times as much on a card but so far I don't see a need to. This card is amazing.

Cons: It's huge. Like... Massive. Seriously, I had to pull disconnect and pull out almost off my the cords in my case just to get it in there, then had to rewire everything. This was only a problem for me because it took a little bit longer before I could start playing.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed

Pros: - Well made, has a huge metal heat sink.
- Does run cool and quiet.
- Runs most games I have on maxed out graphics settings at or near 60 fps (often higher).

I wasn't sure what amount of power I had to connect for the card to run. Fortunately there are lights next to the power connectors which turned from red to green to indicate sufficient power. Very intuitive. One of the power cables comes with the card (the 8 pin I think) and fortunately I had the other already. Once both the 8 pin and the 6 pin adapters were plugged in, the card was good to go.

I didn't realize the visuals I was missing out on in gaming. With this card, I'm seeing the subtle texture details, Dx11 tesselation, glow effects, shaders, shadows, lighting, color and high AA that make the games look absolutely gorgeous.

For the $300 price range I am absolutely satisified with this piece of hardware.

Cons: Wasn't crazy about the "free" game being charged but "discounted" out of the ammount for the graphics card. IMO, keep the game and lower the price of the card...

Other Thoughts: - This thing is nearly 12 inches long and 6 wide (11.3" x 5.8") and it is heavy.
- The Nvidia software will offer to detect games and adjust the graphics settings, essentially creating a graphics profile for that game without having to launch the game. (not all games are supported)
- The software does provide overclocking options along with temperature and voltage monitoring applications

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Love it has always ran everything i throw at it perfectly. Play all my games on max graphics and have yet to run into an issue. And for 330 it's a good buy.

Cons: It is decently big so make sure you can fit it.

4 out of 5 eggsNot as good as others make it seem

Pros: Under 350 its great and preforms the why it should.
Game fps are the same as my 750ti not a issue as in rendering the 780 shines.
It doesn't use plastic like the 750ti I have which is really nice.

Cons: Shadowplay doesn't work all the time or it completely lowers my fps by 50% or even more depend on the games.
When I try using steams streaming services to send video to my 7970 its terrible but if I switch back to my 750ti its perfectly fine.
I did say in rendering it shines but since I use a custom program a friend made for me the 780 works but takes twice as long as my amd gpu so I've had to use another video editing software which isn't a big deal I guess.

Other Thoughts: I don't like how the billing for NVidia's gifts are as you get charged for them which is something I still need to address just haven't had the time to do but even though its not charging you more its a gift so being charged for a gift is still wrong in my opinion

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Absolutely gorgeous. Everything I've thrown at it has had a buttery-smooth framerate at highest settings. The thing is nearly silent.

Cons: - Snug fit both horizontally and vertically for the Corsair 250D. Not really a con, just a heads up to those like me who obsessed and poured over reviews for every single part.

- Doesn't come in blue to match my mobo (pfft, whatever)

- I won't make me breakfast

5 out of 5 eggsGood deal for the money.

Pros: Fantastic card. Great backplate. Made out of metal. Played BF3, BlOps2 and Skyrim with the HD DLC and some other mods with ease at 60fps at 1080p. The only game that gave me issues was Company of Heroes 2, but that game is well known for being poorly optimized, and even then I only had issues when the AA was at max and there was tons of smoke and explosions on the screen. At its loudest, it sounds like an aquarium purifier. Never got above 50 C.

Cons: Huge and oddly shaped. I got it to fit into my Antec 900. Barely. Also, it is pretty heavy. I like the heft, but that weight comes from huge metal plates and metal heat pipes sticking out everywhere. Again, keep this in mind if you do not have a full case.

Other Thoughts: Good card and a great time to buy. Thank you EVGA for convincing me to buy an ASUS metal card by selling 9xx cards made out of Radio Shack bargain bin parts.

5 out of 5 eggsMonster Card

Pros: This card is solid and stable.
The price was unbeatable. $300 with Borderlands the Pre-Sequel
3GB of 384 bit memory is more than enough for current games.
Quiet yet powerful.
These cards use the same chip as the GTX Titan (GK110) with some of the unnecessary extra parts turned off.

Cons: This card is Huge. At least as wide as the Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce that it replaced and taller.
Not as fast as I had hoped for.

Other Thoughts: This card is great for the price and a worthy replacement to my GTX 770 Windforce by Gigabyte. Even in some of the more intense battle scenes, this card still runs a good 10 frames per second faster than the 770. If you need an upgrade and have the money to spend, i definitely recommend getting this card. It can't be beaten for the price.
