5 out of 5 eggsFast, cool

Pros: -Performs great
-No hiccups installing or running
-Good monitoring/overclocking software
-Keeps VERY COOL
-Quiet
-Overclocked at least 100 MHz with no problem

Cons: -A bit bigger than your average 780. This could pose problems if you want to run these babies in SLI - in my Corsair 450D case, I wouldn't be able to fit another one of these in there because the hard drive cage is there and this card is just long enough to not fit beside it. If you're looking to SLI this particular 780, measure up first - this one is longer than other manufacturers' 780s.

5 out of 5 eggsOrdered a 2nd to run SLI.

Pros: now running SLI the noise level is still well below what I had expected. I am running Nvidia Surround with a 4th accessory monitor with great performance.

Cons: no ROG badging. would like to see LED Asus lighting.

2 out of 5 eggsNice, Fast, Brick

Pros: Works fast if it does, quiet, nice temperatures

Cons: After a day video corruption(white horizontal lines, random resizing of parts of the screen) appeared, even trying to display the bios. Windows refuses to boot with the card in it. Power supply is adequate(Corsair HX750), card was removed and reseated, other video cards were tested in it's place. The computer works fine, but not the video card. An excellent very expensive brick now.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps if QA was tighter at ASUS.

5 out of 5 eggs1080p King

Pros: I've been really satisfied with this card since I first bought it and put together my new rig. The claims are real, and I definitely like that fact that this card offers better cooling, and is a lot quieter.

Lets face it, I remember watching a video of a *REFERENCE* R9 290X, and it sounded like a jet engine on 100% fan duty, and was still hitting thermals of over 95C. This card however tells a completely different story. At 100% fan duty, I hit while playing Metro: Last Light at most 60C (room temperature=21C) !!! This is at 1080P and all filters and qualities maxed out. I also had memory clocked at 7008Mhz and the boost clock at 1050Mhz. Even with this overclock on mem and core, this card performed as it was designed to, stay cool, stay quiet. Even with sound blocking headphones my friend could here a screech on the fans of his EVGA acx cooler. He couldn't even set his fan duty pass 65% without the screech being noticable, imagine what it would sound like at 100%.

This thing is the champ of 1080p gaming. Any game I throw at it, this thing will come out on top asking for more.

I think I will soon have to purchase a 1440p monitor and then see how it stacks up against other competitors.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this graphics card to anyone looking for smooth high end gaming at 1080p, with low power consumption and amazing performance in a bundle. This card is the King

Forever live the PC Master Race!

5 out of 5 eggsId Like To Do A Second Review

Pros: This is my 2nd review on this card, the reason why im doing this, is this card can really handle quit a bit. Ill say it again, This card can handle BF4 set on Ultra, set @ 140 resolution scale with a slight overclock and maintain 90% of the time 60FPS. To me that is really impressive. The card stays cool( I have a really nice system with many 200mm fans and smaller high performance fans as well), I have never gone above 55C on load( that's with an overclock, w/out overclock its at 49c) and it handles every DX11 game I own on all Ultra settings. I only run it at 1080p. Im sure for higher resolution settings it wouldn't perform as good. If your running this card with a well ventilated case @ 1080p resolution, you will have no worries...

Cons: None, Still none...Going on 7 months!

Other Thoughts: I know some of you potential buyers sit up late at night (like I did!) reading all the reviews and comparing all the different components on the Newegg app....So the next time you really study the different cards, notice on this card the direction of the heat sink fins!!! There facing out the rear of the case!.. Almost like a reference card! Its not blowing all the hot air back into the case, (examine! Like other companies designs!) that is one of the brilliant design perks that sold me on this card. Also if you have a case that has a side fan mount, throw a nice fan in so it can blow cool air under the cards fans..

5 out of 5 eggsBeast GPU

Pros: This gpu has made my computer the beast it is. It runs practically any game at ultra with constant 80+ frames per second. Its no TI but its definitely good enough. I couldn't be anything but happy with this purchase.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It gets the job done reliably and quietly.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Card!

Pros: VERY fast card!
At stock clocks this card stays at about 71 MAX
Overclocked to +150 Card his 78 max
Back Plate
Very quiet!

Cons: Preatty Big, make sure it can fit in your case.
Also I don't like how the power cables have to plug in on the top. It causes more strain than i would like on my power cables when the side panel is on. Would rather have them o the side.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend this card!

5 out of 5 eggsThis card is DABOMB

Pros: Overclocked this card to 200MHZ+
Overclocked memory to 1000MHZ+
Card is so well cooled, fan never has to go full speed
Been playing like every game known to man on 6050x1080 (3 screens with bezel correction) MAX SETTINGS with single card!
Card comes with built in Asus overclocking utility.
All you have to do is move a slider to the right.
EASY.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Well since NVIDIA decided they were gonna delay the 800 series into 2015, and the price of this dropped, I decided it was time to buy another for SLI :). Seeing as two cards in SLI from previous generation easily beat the following generation I should be good for all games til at least late 2016.

Or let's put it this way. Since this card easily overclocks way better than a TITAN. I'm playing games with performance that is better than 2 TITANS in SLI for less than a single TITAN CARD!

3 out of 5 eggsWorks Great, Mostly

Pros: Fast
Runs modern games at max settings
Runs modern games at 144hz easily

Cons: Even with this card there's lag with windows aero on W7. I have two monitors connected, which this card should handle perfectly fine seeing as onboard graphics could handle it. But, for some unknown reason, windows lags. Dragging windows, opening them, closing them, it all lags and I can't figure out why. My laptop, with a 2 year old dedicated amd gpu, can run 2 monitors fine and experience no lag. But for some godforsaken reason this card lags with two monitors. I can't even watch a movie, even with one monitor off the movie is choppy and lags too. I have all my settings set to performance, all the drivers, I've done everything possible and for the life of me cannot figure out whats wrong. It's bewildering. And extremely disappointing. And the thing is, the card runs games fine, but it can't handle windows aero or a movie playing when my 2 year old laptop can handle games AND a movie at the same time. It's a mystery to me and I honestly regret the purchase. I thought of RMA'ing, but then I have no video card for who knows how long. It works in games, but that seems to be it. The only reason it doesn't have one egg is because it performs in games.

Other Thoughts: Would not reccommend, would not buy again. I would choose either a competitor or possibly an AMD chipset over this. Extremely disappointed considering the price and what I get.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I do apologize that you are having issues with your GPU. Have you tested the GPU in another unit to verify that it is hardware related and not a driver issue? Very odd that it would game without issue yet have other problems. Please contact me through email and I would be happy to assist you. In addition, please provide me with what troubleshooting steps you have tried so far including your reference number within the subject line. Thank you. Cs#N140718908

2 out of 5 eggsHorrid Product!

Pros: This card in all directions looks sleek and will tempt you in every way to find its way into your cart for purchase. Puts out a great picture when you are not in a game, Low heat output, or watching movies "Streaming, etc". I have owned this since February 24, 2014. Now onto the rest of my discoveries.

Cons: The shroud is huge and can potentially interfere with your case if you have clips instead of screws holding your card in the bracketing. Out of game it is comepletely fine and runs everything spectacular with a bit of lag at times.Ever since I have yet to see the full performance. For some odd reason this card not only has low FPS and lag issues this card has left me wondering what in the hell did I buy! Hitting on the subject of lag for this card in specifics "Explosions, high streaming, and random pixelization with coarse and an uneasy feeling in the shadows. This card is notorious for low performance.

Other Thoughts: I do not recommend this card to anyone who desires performance. If I had to put a level equivalent on this product it would be that of a 460 superclocked and lower than a 7770 Radeon. Performance of the 7770 fps in game hit 310 where the 780 hit a whopping 119... The 460 mind you hit 132 "In the same ball park. Please consider this might be a need in the haystack and I received the needle, but to save yourself some headache I would refrain from this card and look elsewhere on the market

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings Pariah,

I do apologize that you have had issues with your card in the past. Did you RMA it as of yet? I would be happy to take a look at it if you havent RMA'd it yet. Please contact me through email and provide me with what troubleshooting steps you have tried so far including your reference number within the subject line, and we can discuss this case further. Thank you. Cs#N140712151
