DirectCU II
Award-winning DirectCU II design continues to bring cooler and quieter operation to each generation of graphics cards. DirectCU II continues to combine the efficiency of direct contact copper heatpipes with the GPU, massive heatsink, and two fans to dissipate heat quickly. With different demands for power and temperature, ASUS exclusive DirectCU II now comes in a variety of flavors to bring at least 20% cooler performance while maintaining a standard in quiet operations.
GeForce GTX 780 DirectCU II
DirectCU II Featuring a 10mm Heatpipe
The ASUS GeForce GTX 780 DirectCU II OC graphics card features a 10mm heatpipe instead of the conventional 8mm width. This particular variation boosts overall heat dissipation by up to 40% compared to the reference design, delivering 30% cooler and three times quieter operation.

Super Alloy Power & Digi + VRM
The application of DIGI+VRM integrates a 10-phase power design to use digital voltage regulators to minimize power noise level by 30% and enhance power efficiency by 15%. DIGI+VRM is designed with wider voltage modulation tolerance to improve overall stability as well as increase overclocking potential.
Multi-Directional CoolTech Fan
The CoolTech fan moves air downward and outward with its dual, integrated blade design offering wider and more consistent airflow to maintain cooler and quieter operation.
Included Backplate
Included backplate provides protection and support while increasing heat dissipation from the PCB.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great Card, bought the open Box so i got a real nice discount. It came with all the accessories sealed, only didn't come with original box. Card worked perfectly. It tears through games. It can even run Star Citizen on Very High settings at 40+ FPS 1080p.

Cons: minor- Very large card bulky.

5 out of 5 eggsWHAT MATTERS IS GAMEPLAY

Pros: Everyone talks about bench marking, over clocking this, that...forget all that tech savvy boring stuff that we all know about.. What matters most is this card can handle BF4 with everything maxed out on ultra, VSYNC on, and a slight increase in scale resolution at 1080p at 51c and still maintain 60 FPS most of the time.. The card looks awesome, it has a nice aluminum case.. Fans run great, of COURSE if your fans are above 90% your going to hear them.... even though it's not a Rog version, it still has the colors.

I went from EVGA GTX 570 3 WAY SLI to just this card, and it kills my old cards!

Cons: I wish I bought two even though it's not needed!

5 out of 5 eggsSimply Amazing 780!!!!!

Pros: Quiet, powerful, cool, lower power consumption, everything you could ever dream of

Cons: Kinda big (not as big as a lightning), is not Chuck Norris

Other Thoughts: Okay, so I was looking for a high quality card and having previously had a low end single core retail build I wanted to go high all around. I have a AMD 8 core prcoessor with 8 gigs of low voltage ram. This complemented my machine flawlessly. I use it for games such as The Witcher 2, Skyrim, GTA V, WoW, LoL, and a ton more.

So far there hasn't been a single game I can't play on ultra with everything cranked!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsTop notch quality

Pros: faster, quitter, sexier, and more sturdy than my msi tfiii 7950 (and that's saying a lot. I loved that card). Looking at the pictures doesn't do this beast justice, its a work of art. It will max out any game on the market @1080p.

Cons: Nvidia still hasn't fixed the issue with 1080p monitors over HDMI. still doesn't default full rgb, hence nerfing the colors on your monitor. There was a simple fix by doing a registry hack, but be warned if you have never owned an NVidia card before. This doesn't count as an egg off because ASUS out did themselves with this card, and NVidia's driver problems should blemish this.

Other Thoughts: pair this with an fx 8350 and be happy gamer :)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: WOW. its a 780 and it rocks!!!.....overclocked it to 1250mhz and still very cool. i very rarely hear the fans. only when i've game'd for 3+ hours on it i can ever so barely hear it maybe LOL. its Super sexy as well....just enough bling.

Cons: None, well stock speed little bit low and should have had the RoG branding. but other then that its a great card.

Pros: The quality of this card is great, and the images are awesome. Easy to install, drivers work great. Games look immerse and real. The fans are quiet.

Cons: The card gets hot, make sure you have proper air flow.

Other Thoughts: The games included were a nice addition.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Graphics Card I Ever Used!

Pros: Very quiet even after extreme loads and gaming. Honestly, I didn't even see the need to overclock it since the performance & graphics were already great out of the box. This is really the best high end graphics card that you can get for this price!

P.S. Although I have all the latest game titles and I sit down to enjoy a game every once in a while, I'm not really a heavy gamer, I mostly use this card for graphic intensive applications; I am a graphic designer and this card works great for me.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: If your looking for a high-end graphics card without breaking the bank, then its worth saving a little extra money for this card because its performance is incredibly close to those other cards that cost over $1,000.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus gtx780 OC 2

Pros: This is one heck of a video card. It is built solid, over clocks like a champ, performance is amazing, and it looks hot! This thing runs everything on max settings zero slow down, I was able to get an OC of 1207ghz on the GPU and pull another 250ghz on the memory. This thing screams and it doesn't draw a ton of power. Its pretty quiet as well temps haven't gotten over 71c at full load for over 5 hours with it over clocked!

Cons: None , I love this thing!

Other Thoughts: The card is huge so make sure you have space in your case. I would make sure you have at least a 650w power supply as well. I've been playing BioShock 3 and with the card over clocked I'm getting over 100fps with peaks over 200fps, its a sick card. I was torn between this one and the MSI gtx780 boy am I glad I got the Asus!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs cool and quiet. One of the better GTX780's you can buy.

Cons: None really. Price is a little more than comparable products from other companies.

Other Thoughts: Works great. I'm happy with my purchase. Always a good thing when you spend ~$500.

4 out of 5 eggsGtx 780

Pros: Cool
Quiet
Fast

Cons: Only con with this and the reason i took off a egg was because the card wont go below 37% fan speed. Not sure why i have downloaded multiple programs but the lowest the card will go is 37% fan speed really annoying. Dont get me wrong its difficult to even here it but i dont understand why i cant lower to say 20% while not gaming etc. Really annoyed but its apparently is common for all gtx 780's not just a ASUS issue.
