3 out of 5 eggsBEWARE

Pros: Asus brand, reputation, well-built,

Cons: Beware: PCI 3 only.
NOT: backwards compatible with PCI 2
SUPPORTED only: Intel Ivy Bridge third-gen CPU or newer, AMD Kaveri 7000 series or newer.
Some older might work, but I haven't come across any, which is surprising, Dell, Gateway, emachines, Acer, various PCI 2 machines not supported.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 on sale, without 1st checking the reviews. Big mistake. The problem was right there in the reviews, but as usual you assume you know better. Long story short, I didn't.

I have 20+ computers, various brands, they only worked in the PCI 3 machines, so after a year of being paperweights. Maybe I'll put them in an Ivy Bridge with Subpar integrated graphics, Celeron, Pentium, "dual core Ivy Bridge without hyperthreading"

100 percent. My mistake. So take the three-star rating with a grain of salt as it's not based on the actual graphics capability.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work.

Pros: I put it into the express slot on my motherboard turn it on, Nothing on the monitor. I double checked all my wiring. I'm sending this back, for a refund. If you want a good graphics card get a Nivida card. First time getting a ASUS graphics card, and its a horrible.

Cons: Doesn't work.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for smaller power supplies

Pros: Low profile bracket included
overall compact size (not too long)
Decent gaming performance
Works fine with my 220-watt power supply

Cons: Wasn't free

Other Thoughts: I was searching for an entry level gaming card that would work with the 220-watt PS of my new Acer Aspire AXC-115-UR20 desktop. It has an E-2 6110 quad core processor at 1.5 GHz that only draws 15 watts. In addition to requiring a low profile card that only takes up one slot width, it had to be short enough to avoid hitting the USB 3 connector on the motherboard. This Asus card fulfills all those requirements.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Upgrade Card

Pros: If you want to upgrade an older home/ home office machine, this is probably your best bet. While it says a 400W power supply is required, my 300W supply does just fine. Nor does this card require a separate power input. We got this for my gamer son and he is completely happy with the frame rate he is getting on his online games. I'm sure this isn't enough for the state of the art, high end games but for upgrading a basic computer, this card hits the right performance vs price ratio. No issue with drivers either and very easy install.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsDVI-D is lame

Pros: Works fine for one monitor on newer motherboards.

Cons: Doesn't work on some motherboards because it's PCI-e 3 only.

I didn't notice that this was DVI-D only. For those who aren't aware, this cripples the ability to use two VGA monitors without an expensive adapter. ASUS seems to be the only on doing this and its a lame move that trades profit for functionality.

The stupid bundled game package also cripples my exchange ability, because it reduces my refund to half the cost of the card. I will be more skeptical and investigative in the future, and unlikely to go with ASUS for a GPU again.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Good card for the price. Low profile. Takes up very little space. 2Gigs. Nice fan that doesn't require an extra power cable. Plenty of adjustable settings in the Catalyst control panel.

Cons: Had to download display drivers for Vista from the AMD site.

Other Thoughts: Got this card to replace an old outdated Nvidia card. I installed it without any trouble. Went to install the software from the disk and the display drivers didn't DL. So my system didn't read the card. I have Windows Vista so I double checked to make sure it was supported by the card. Right on the box it says Windows Vista. Along with XP, 7, 8, etc.

So I figured maybe the disk had bad drivers. I went to the Asus site to DL new drivers. They had them for everything but Vista. Same with a couple other sites. No go. So I went to AMD and DLed the display drivers for Vista and viola! Card works fine.

So if you're buying this card and have Vista, don't even bother DLing the drivers from the disk. Go right to AMD and get them. Save yourself the headache of the dreaded Code 10 error. Just DL the other programs like GPU Tweak from the disk. It allows you to DL them without having to DL the drivers.

Other than that minor glitch the card works great and I would recommend it as an upgrade to outdated cards.

5 out of 5 eggsGood For the $$

Pros: - Cheap
- Low Power Consumption
- Low Profile
- Quiet
- 1080 Resolution

Cons: Not going to do well with high end gaming applications...

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card to provide an HD video feed from a media center PC. For that application, it fits the bill perfectly. If my primary goal was to game, I would look at spending no less than $100 on a decent GPU, although I wouldn't be surprised if this card will play games at reasonable FPS on medium-ish settings.

4 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with my motherboard

Pros: Good Card. Played all my games at high settings when it ran.

Cons: Not compatible with my motherboard. I have an Asus M3N/H HDMI , AMD Phenom X4 9850 2.50 ghz, 4GB DDR2 memory, with PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot. This card is PCIE 3.0 x8 and my motherboard tried to run it at PCIE 2.0 x8. When it ran i got a message saying my pci express port root hub has stopped working. Then computer would shut down and it took me 3 resets to get it to post. After i did some research i found out that some older motherboards won't run PCIE 3.0 Cards but most will run them. I thought that since they were both asus that maybe they would work well together, but I was wrong. Now I'm running my old ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO PCI Express x16. works just fine but wanted a good upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for basic use!

Pros: -Small
-Powerful for what it is
-Fan isn't too noisy
-Plays Minecraft well on highest settings (1080p)

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: A lot of people argue that low end cards like this are a waste of money. While I see the point behind that, they're perfectly viable if you want to save RAM and have a performance boost by not using integrated graphics.

I'm pairing this with an Intel Pentium G3220 CPU, MSI H81M-P33 motherboard and 4 gigs of RAM. Very solid card. A big upgrade from the previous Radeon HD 6450 I was running.
