2 out of 5 eggsBad card and bad service

Pros: Nice card, able to run a lot of games at ultra high video settings. Keeps nice and cool in my system. I especially liked having different ports and being able to run 3-4 monitors at once.

Cons: After only a month of playing games on it, I started getting random artifacts when playing multiple games. Sent it in for repair and it came back with nothing done to it but yet I still had the same exact problem. Waiting for a replacement card now and crossing my fingers I won't have the same problem.

Other Thoughts: This card had the random artifacts on multiple computers, multiple games, multiple operating systems, and multiple drivers....and ASUS service dept couldn't find anything wrong with it? Extreme failure on ASUS's service dept.

I work in IT on PC's for over 10 years now, I've never used an ASUS card personally but have put them into corporate and customer computers....this was the first time I personally bought an ASUS card and it will be the last time I use or recommend an ASUS card, especially seeing as others have had the same problem with this card.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus Radeon R7 260x

Pros: I tested this on Windows 8.1 pro 64 Bit to see if the visual artifacts thing is true.According to me i didnt get any of the visual artifacts during game play what so ever. This was done using the amd 14.3 beta drivers.About the Linux drivers on this card their kind of horrible because when i tested it in windows i got better performance.Still when the stable drivers come out for ubuntu as in 14 it should have improved proformance when ever amd releases them.

Cons: I got better performance in windows 8.1 drivers and i got better performance when using it with amd eyefinty using 2056x1024.I played games like skyrim in this resolution the game play was very smooth.

Other Thoughts: My specs
Cpu:AMD FX 6300 Hexa Core 3.5ghz TB(turbo boost) to 4.1ghz
Ram:Gskill aegis 8 gb @ 1600mhz DDR3
Mobo:Asus M5a78lm LX Plus AM3+

5 out of 5 eggsDrivers

Pros: It's a great card i can run all of the games i want with out issues (now). When i first got it i installed the drives from the disk and it was fine but being a good tech guy i decided to get the latest driver. BAD IDEA! it would BSOD randomly while the computer was idle. After a clean driver sweep and re installing in the box driver it worked ok i would randomly get a BSOD when watching a movie about once every other week. But i just downloaded the new driver 14.3 Beta 3/16/2014 and it works with out a problem, I was able to over clock and get "Theif" to run at 62 FPS and i played for hours with out problems.

Cons: Drivers were lame.

Other Thoughts: I bought the card when it was just on the market and unfortunately AMD was basically testing the drivers on the public, i understand it's hard to make something work with all the computer set ups but it was a little disappointing. I feel bad for ASUS that this card tarnished there gold record for great products.

1 out of 5 eggsGlitchy card

Pros: none at this time

Cons: I purchased two for my system and I'm not pleased with these cards at all since I installed them, Ive had ghost pixels in large squares all over my screen. and crashing when I play games. I've replaced the cabling and crossfire bridge. Used every tool to try to fix drivers using ati uninstaller and latest drivers and beta drivers. and even tried underclocking them as other users suggested. all to no effect. I have used ati cards for a long time and I'm very unhappy with these cards. All I wanted was a product that worked and this is not it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang for the Buck

Pros: Such a great card for the price. If given the choice to pick another card, i dont think i would. This card is more than enough power for my light gaming needs, and if i ever need more, i can easily buy another and run them in crossfire. I have been playing Thief with this card, and the graphics are amazing. Another thing that is great is the temps, the card never gets hotter than 70c and thats while running a game on it. The fans are beyond quite and i can't even hear them unless they are at 100% (the card keeps them at around 25% most of the time, so you can't hear it ever)

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGood card for price

Pros: This card is very quiet. I can run it at 70% while playing video games and barely hear it. It also runs cool. It nevet gets above 70 degrees C. The performance is better than I thought it would be. I can play BF4 on high smoothly with this card.

Cons: When I first got the card from newegg, it would freeze my computer just sitting on the desktop. I see a lot of other reviews stating this as well. It is NOT a driver issue, it is a defective card. I did an RMA with Asus and I had no problems whatsoever with the card they sent back to me.

Other Thoughts: Everyone having problems with this card just do an RMA with Asus and they will fix it for you and there will be no more freezing.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Support Ever

Pros: None DOA
I will return and will not consider ASUS products as a replacement.

Cons: Killed working MB.
I waited for a week since my first contact with ASUS before posting this review. I was really hoping they would come through but I won't hold my breath waiting any longer.
I put this card in a working system and now the MB will not even post. I tried everything ASUS tech support suggested but one thing. They had the gall to ask me to put this graphics card into another known working system to see if it damaged the MB. They will not offer me any help repairing the first board and they want me to risk a second one. Also I was told by a tech "Alex" that he would speak to his manager about repairing my MB for free or getting me a refurbished board. I was asked to call back in two hours. When I called back "Alex" was gone for the day and he had failed to make notes of our conversation in the system. My system is now a boat anchor and Asus has lost me as a customer. It will take a lot to get me to consider them again.

Other Thoughts: I have 32yrs experience in the Electronics field. I am the Depot Service Manager and if anyone on our service team treated a customer like this they would be pounding the pavement.
I hope ASUS does see this and realizes that they need to improve their Tech Support. I have used ASUS products im my builds for years but if this is the way they treat loyal Customers the sooner they go bust the better

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card!

Pros: The card is nice for the price, I built a computer for a client with this as he/she requested. They haven't had a problem with it yet as stated in other reviews.

Cons: So, this card made the computer building experience very challenging, I couldn't pinpoint the problems exactly at first. The solutions for me was first disable ULPS (Ultra-Low Power State), then trying a host of drivers! The drivers that work are directly from the ASUS website! DONOT DL drivers from the AMD website! Search drivers with the model number of the card: R7260X-DC2OC-2GD5

Other Thoughts: Good card, but needs a little tinkering!
