5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card For the Price!

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Great proformance for a mid-level card. Can max out any game, although my older dual-core processor doesn't keep up sometimes. Play games like NFS: MW (2012) and Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2 at 1920x1080p. It has the ability to play modern games at 1080p easily. Card keeps cool (for an AMD, anyways) around 35 C at idle and 67 C at wide open throttle.

Cons: None really* See other thoughts

Other Thoughts: Needs (2) 6+2 PCIE power cords to run. Make sure to have adequate air circulation. For someone on a buget, this card will give you the power for the next couple of years to come. Has Crossfire ability (includes Crossfire bridge cable). Card length is around 10.5 inches, so have some room (this card fit in my mid-size ATX tower... barely). Overall, very happy with my purchase. Great job Asus & AMD. Keep it up!

1 out of 5 eggsStill broken after RMA return

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: None. Doesn't work. Asus does not even check their replacements sent via RMA to verify that they work.

Cons: Asus RMA process. card will be going back yet again for randomly outputting a garbled signal to the primary monitor

5 out of 5 eggsRuns great, stays cool

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: -Stays under 65C under 100% load with 20C room temp
-Great core OC out-of-the-box
-Quiet

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The sheer weight of the cooler makes it droop from the PCI slot. The bracing built into the PCB helps, but it is still noticeable.
For the longest time the built in GPUZ with GPU Tweak refused to open; after I installed my FX 8350 the issue went away. Not sure how that happened, but I have read on a few forums of people having the issue of the GPUZ not working.

2 out of 5 eggsIt works.......sort of

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Looks nice inside the case
Packaging is fancy
Powerful Card

Cons: Where to begin?
The card constantly blue screens, glitches, pixelates, restarts my pc, there isn;t a day gone by that I've owned it (1month) that it hasnt done atleast a few of these things. I've tried everything to make it work (including but not limited to buying a new PSU incase that was the problem), bottom line is the drivers are unstable (not just the latest or the ones recommended by asus, i've tried all of them). So after a month I decided to RMA the product and asus don't offer cross shipping on graphics cards so I would have to go without using my PC the entire time which is not accepable at all, needless to say I'm using this as an excuse to go back to nvidea, buying a new graphics card so i can rma this one and then sell it. will never buy asus or amd again.

Other Thoughts: would of been a brilliant graphics card if it worked

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: I got this video card on Black Friday for $160, runs well and I can max all settings out with very good fps with all the popular games.

Cons: The AMD Drivers and software aren't the best but will do.

4 out of 5 eggsworks great for me

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Card posts some great specs for the money (watch for sales/rebates on this one). Bought for a gaming pc, and it has definitely elevated my playing field. Picture is sharp and clear. Very good frame rate even with high resolution and a lot of features enabled. Card runs quiet and cool.

I've seen comments in the reviews about "coil whine" and noisy fans, but I have not had any of that.

Cons: I'm still in the burn in period, so bad things could still happen.

The card is long, so be sure you have tail end clearance in your box -- I had to remove an hd cage to fit in mine.

I have seen where the card stopped my PC from booting, but reseating the card cleared the issue. I am not willing to blame the board yet, I need to verify it's not a psu or mobo issue.

Other Thoughts: I've seen some other comments regarding asus customer service. I called on my card (above boot blocker issue) and had a very positive experience. The rep was notably tired, but they were still friendly, polite, and helpful.

3 out of 5 eggsIt is working so far

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Low price
Decent performance

Cons: Poor design

Other Thoughts: I bought this GPU for a crossfire setup. It is working fine so far. The reason why is has 3 egg is beacuse asus customer services sucks, worst I've ever seen. I submitted a rebate form and with all the required documents and it got denied because the need a specific invoice, not the one that you get with your order number and all that, you need to call newegg so request it. The costumer agent was unwilling to cooperate. I had to talk to 3 different agents for over 1 hour. Now I've 2 weeks and 1 time chance to send that invoice with some other form and see if they want to approve my rebate. This a joke.

3 out of 5 eggsA great card when it works.

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: - Fast
- Small compared to other cards of the same power
- Good graphics power

Cons: I have had this card for just over a year and am going to have to RMA it for a second time. It works great when I first install it in my system, but after a month of use, the two cards I have had so far began to have graphical problems like the screen not waking, tearing in low graphics games and other visual problems. I really wish I could just switch out for the SAPPHIRE 100364TXSR which is the same price.

Other Thoughts: If you have good luck, this card may work for you, but I have had two so far and both have started acting up as soon as the 90 day return policy ended.
