4 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Runs all almost all the newest games on ultra settings, with everything maxed out. Driver updates are very quick for new games.
******WARNING: The default fan settings ARE NOT to be trusted at all, Download "ASUS GPU TWEAK" and change your fan settings to "user define". Create a profile with the fan settings so that every 10degrees the fan speed increases 10%, it should look like steps. I keep the minimum fan speed at 40% fan speed, which is still very quiet, then stair-step up from there. At GPU 80% use, your fan should be probably 90-100%, to keep things nice an cool. Save those settings to a #, then when you start your PC up, make sure your GPU Tweak is running on manual/user. Each time you restart your PC. Make sure it's on "user define", with that stair stepping method you created for fan speed.

Cons: The fan does get a bit high when I'm playing games, I keep my case on my desk, so that dust is not too much of an issue. I haven't had hardly any problems at all. If a game crashes, it's not because the card can't handle it, it's 100% of the time a driver issue or the game needs to be patched. Now I say the fan does get loud, but if you read professional reviews, it's much quieter than the Radeon cards, which is frightening to think about.

1 out of 5 eggsCard beginning to fail after only 4 months!

Pros: Fast Card!

Cons: - Failing after only 4 months. Lines across the screen.

- High pitched intermittent fan noise

Other Thoughts: I recently have run into an issue with this graphics card that is intermittent and extremely bothersome. What happens is, a random odd color line will flash across the entire screen multiple times, horizontally, for a few seconds and then stop. It does it both on just the desktop, and also while in a game or watching a movie/TV show on netflix.

Here's what I've done to test/verify it is indeed the graphics card:

- I've hooked the computer up to a second monitor. Same exact issue. I hooked up to a monitor utilizing my onboard graphics and the problem is NOT there. This issue is completely isolated to the graphics card. I've used both DVI and HDMI. Multiple cables, as well.

- I have updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers (beta) and even downgraded back down to the WHQL drivers. The issue persists.

- I have run GPU Tweak it and ensured the cards firmware is up to date. It is.

- All stock clock speeds. Nothing is overclocked.

I have also noticed another intermittent issue with the fan noise. It will sound very high pitched/whiny and then completely go away. This happens at both idle and during gameplay. Suffice to say, I do not feel comfortable with this card. I have been a LONG time supporter of both owning ASUS products, as well as being in a position to sell them. A few months back I had run into an issue with my ASUS Maximus VI motherboard which had to be replaced (RMA'd through newegg thank goodness) and then right after, my ASUS PCE-AC66 needed to be upgraded to the PCE-AC68 due to incompatibility with haswell. After receiving the replacement card, it failed within a few hours and had to be replaced once again. It was a nightmare. It seems ASUS quality has severely gone down hill, and I'm on the verge of jumping ship to a different brand.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

If I may, I would like to help. Please send me an email, including a video of the random artifacts, and we can discuss this case further. 3687415.

Regards,

Mark

1 out of 5 eggsProcessor burnt out after 3 months

Pros: Amazing graphics card, not because its from Asus though.

Cons: Burnt out after 3 month not even pushing it to its potential. Case has excellent airflow, Not crowded.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for the new system I built in December, worked great until a week or so ago when it started making a sound that ususally signifies that its burning out.

Contacted Asus and I can send it back for "repair" but I wont get it back until the second week of May. If you are using this work DO NOT purchase this from Asus as they do not offer an express warranty(where its replaced before you send it back with a hold on CC) and you will be GPU-less, unless you want to dish out another 600 for it, for weeks. Ridiculous.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus gtx 780Ti

Pros: The best single gpu around.I wanted the reference model of Asus and I am glad that I got it.The card looks great, runs cool and plays every game at ultra settings (full HD 1920x1080 here). What i find most amazing is that this magical gpu overclocks itself if needed.Without tweaking anything it hits 1020 Mhz while boost clock runs at 928 Mhz by default. As a former Radeon owner i can say that the Nvidia Drivers are better than the AMD ones. I also think that the 780ti reference model is even better than the custom models. And it looks cool with the green lightened nane on the side. It is also an excellent overclocker but since the card auto overclocks it self there is no need for teaking at the moment.I have paired the card with my Sandy Bridge setup (Asus P8Z68-VPRO/GEN3 + i7 2700K, 24 GB 1333MHZ RAM) and the result is outstanding. All in all I could't be more satisfied.Well done Nvidia & Asus.

Cons: None really. I guess it could be a little cheaper. STILL it's the best gpu around.I forgot about when I installed it.It's the premium and it costs.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS GTX 780ti

Pros: Fast!! Runs everything I throw at it with ease. Temps are a bit high, but I will be water cooling it soon. $669 and free shipping from newegg. Comes with a free game too.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It is a large card. Make sure you have enough room for it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth Every Penny

Pros: Talk about an easy setup. All I did was pop out my old my card and put the new one in. All I had to do was install the drivers on the disk Asus Provided.

Forget about the easy install - this card is mind blowing fast. I am a ARMA 3 gamer and was getting 18 FPS on my old card on Very Low settings. With this card I get ~45FPS without overclocking. Every other game I get EASILY +50FPS

Cons: Not a very big con but nonetheless this card (mostly because of its outstanding performance) gets pretty hot. I recommend a case with good cooling.

Other Thoughts: I run an AMD FX8350 and 2100hz Sniper G-Skill RAM

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card! love it

Pros: the card I got is a great clocker. hit 1150core with available voltage stock, and 1285mhz core with flashing the bios. memory stable at +300 which is great. currently evga precision is better to use than AB. definitely worth returning my defective MSI gaming r9 290 which couldn't remain at 1000mhz after 20 min of load.

Cons: large, but that's expected of a flagship cars

cost, but that's also expected.

5 out of 5 eggsA Beast

Pros: It's a beast - what more can I say. It does require an 8-pin and 6-pin power connection (it does come with an 8-pin to 2x 6-pin converter). Great product from Asus.

Cons: None yet

5 out of 5 eggsBlowout :)

Pros: Awesome cards - picked up 2 of these in SLI to replace my 580s...

Handle anything I have thrown at them to date (running at 2560x1600 res)

Both of them run great out of the box.

Cons: Price - but then you get what you pay for anymore - :)
