5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value Card!

Pros: This is an excellent upgrade if your still running any of the hd series cards, the price is great. Although i had some difficulty getting this card to play well with my motherboard, when i did get it working it was a huge improvement and i was able to crossfire it with an HD7850 which gave an overall boost to my video performance.

Cons: This card did not play well with my motherboard, Intel dz77bh-55k make sure you have the latest bios and drivers with this card, and in my case i needed to set the bios from auto detect primary, to pcie always primary, otherwise the card just wasn't recognized and the pc would not post.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS R9 270

Pros: Looks good. Fairly quiet, Does it's job.

I purchased this card when I decided my old 09 gaming laptop was showing it's age.

I mainly play WoW, D3, LoL, various steam games CoD, CS;GO etc.

With WoW it's a little hit and miss with just one card in heavily populated areas I would have lag it would drop down to an avage of below 20 fps with everything as high as it goes and running 1080p. I saw an open box deal and purchased a second card and running them in crossfire has been very nice. Now Iv'e never seen it drop below 30 fps with the heaviest I could throw at it.

Overall a very good card for the money.

Just for the record my build consists of...
i5-4670k standard clock
8 gig ddr3 gskill gaming ram
256 crucial SSD
ASUS z87 mobo
600 B power supply

Cons: .

Other Thoughts: .

Pros: Required a 500W power supply with a PCIe 6-pin plug, but the putter is a screaming gamer now.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsTrue Bang For Buck

Pros: Performance to cost ratio is amazing with this card. It easily overclockes to 1100mhz which is faster than a Reference 270X. Mine hit 1100 without any voltage added.

It is also wispier quiet. Even at full tilt but the gpu runs so cool the fans never need to crack up that much even with the OC.

Cons: A single 6 pin power plug might limit OC headroom. Not taking an EGG for that though. The 270X is there and it has two 6 pins if that is a must.

Other Thoughts: I only paid $99 for this GPU open box. I paired this up with a Pentium G3258. This is the best bang for buck on a budget out there imo.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Its ASUS, Price vs Performance is great!!

Cons: None yet! runs like a champ!!!

Other Thoughts: There is no reason to buy a 270x, this card consumes less power and gets about the same performance. I have mine running at 1080MHz and memory is up to 6Gbs from the stock 5.6Gbs.

Running Asus GPU tweak Is a Must. The stock fan controll sucks, and does for most cards. I have manual fan controls set up, at first it was stuttering playing dota2 and relized it was heating up to over 70c, thats uneceptable. Now my fan never goes over 50% and it stays under 50c, thats overclocked and playing games like farcry 3 and tomb raider, Its all about keeping the fan at the right speed. I dont have a single complaint aboout this card. Thank you ASUS!! always making quality hardware.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective

Pros: Newegg was very helpful with returning the defective card for a refund. Provided 2 day return shipping.

Cons: Bought a DIY pc and this is my first personal build and the card was defective right out of the box. Every time i would try to play a game i would get a black screen, and if i didn't do Ctrl Alt Delete i would get the blue screen of death. Yes I tried updating drivers and everything. Put a different card in and it works great!!!

Other Thoughts: AMD customer service was very unhelpful and I was extremely dissatisfied with the service I got from them. After researching all the problems AMD are having with this series graphics card, they completely denied having any complaints about the issue. Newegg on the other hand was very prompt taking care of me.

5 out of 5 eggsKiller deal for a sweet card

Pros: I can pretty much play everything from Diablo III, Metro, and BF3 on max with almost no lag at all. The only game I have to lower it for is Witcher which was expected. But solid card and no problems at all.

1 out of 5 eggsMaybe faulty?

Pros: From what Iv'e read this card is supposed to run great...

recieved card early!
Looks amazing

Cons: Well so far I have ran minecraft at a little over 17 fps.... 17..

League wont even run at over 30 fps

every over game runs at a little less than 40 on medium settings.

I have the latest drivers and yet it still runs terribly. I just dont know what to do.

I believe I recieved a faulty card, but man does it suck to pay $200 for a card that cant even run minecraft.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully this is just a faulty card and not what it really runs at. I also hope that I can return this at little to no fee.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Gage,

I'm apologize about your card. I would like to make contact in regards to your issue, please be sure to place case number # N140732941 in the subject line for me to reference your case properly, when you contact me.
