  • newegg 40% Faster The Asus GT630-SL-1GD3-L packs in a remarkable 384 CUDA cores for massive parallel graphics-processing power – that’s four times more cores than the NVIDIA GT630 (GF108, 128-bit) reference design, for 40% faster performance.
  • newegg 0dB Silent Cooling The exclusive Asus-designed heatsinks with large surface areas effectively cool graphics cards passively, so absolutely no sound is produced while running – perfect for high-definition and silent home theater PCs and multimedia centers.
  • newegg Super Alloy Power The exclusive alloyed components boost performance by reducing power loss, enhancing durability, and achieving a cooler operation. The chokes’ concrete core eliminates the buzz sound in full load, while the capacitors assure a 50,000-hour lifespan – equivalent to 2.5 times longer than traditional capacitors.
  • newegg GPU Tweak Overclocking is made real-time and intuitive with the Asus GPU Tweak utility. It not only allows you to optimize clock speeds, voltage, and fan speeds on up to four graphics cards independently or simultaneously, but you can also select between GPU Tweak’s Standard or Advanced modes depending on your level of experience. The monitoring widget provides real-time and detailed multi-parameter information. Detailed specs and actual card status are available with GPU-Z, and it also automatically checks for and installs updates for drivers and BIOS versions.
  • newegg NVIDIA PhysX Technology Full support for NVIDIA PhysX technology enables a totally new class of physical gaming interaction, for a more dynamic and realistic experience with GeForce.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing; at low framerates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

3 out of 5 eggs2 Monitors at Once

Pros: Nice card for entry level. No fan, has 3 video outputs.

Cons: I see that some one else was able to use 2 monitors at once. I had to remove the card and use on board graphics to run 2 monitors at once. My card only sends signal to on monitor at a time.

Other Thoughts: After reading other reviews I am wondering if my card is bad or if the card only supports 1 monitor at a time.

5 out of 5 eggs7 months later

Pros: No blue screens, very good image at 3840x2160@30Hz for programming or design work. No blue screens ever.

Cons: Full screen video (such as netflix) at highest resolution shows shearing; for a smoother experience, use standard HD (1920x1080). My main use is for programming, so I don't mind the horizontal shearing. I'd rather have a quiet, low energy consuming and inexpensive card, so I still give it 5 stars

Other Thoughts: Sometimes when the monitor power is off, the computer doesn't detect it being turned on, so it sends no signal. The workaround for that is to put the computer to suspend/resume the desktop. It may be the computer's fault, so not taking any stars off from the review

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Stable Video Processing

Pros: Simple, dependable, very stable video support for your high resolution monitor. This card replaces a 2 slot double wide XFX Radeon 5770 running ATI Catalyst control panel. For 2 years my existing card provided me with a couple blue screens a month and a lot of crashing out of both IE and Chrome along with the fan noise.

So far, this GeForce GT630 with an NVidia control panel has performed rock stable. It runs slightly warm, totally silent and I've noticed my HP ZR30w produces an extremely stable clean picture consistently at its native resolution of 2560 x 1600. Installation was a breeze and video is glitch free with zero artifacts, stuttering, etc.

For the money, this card is outstanding.

Cons: Zero

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for short money

Pros: Cheap, silent, easy to install. Installed in a lenovo that i bought from newegg 2 years ago, took all of 5 mins to install. Went from 3.2 to 5.4 on the window 7 index. Wanted to play gta 4 without the choppiness and it did. Under full load topped out at 87c, but watched it as i play gta 4 and stayed at 58-62c, driving my 32" led(hdmi) and 19" led(vga). I'm happy and when i bought it, it was 39.99

Cons: none at the moment

Other Thoughts: Was surprised that it's only 8x and not 16x, also manufacture recommended a 300w power supply, i have a 280w and didn't notice anything when it was under full load.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great both in Win7 and Win8

Pros: Works great both in Win7 and Win8 at 4k resolution over HDMI port. I love it that it is fanless-silent and using relatively little power

Cons: I am using it now in a new desktop. It worked somewhat on an 8 year old destkop that only had PCI Express v1, but on that desktop it bluescreened a couple times. It probably was not realistic to use it on an 8 year old desktop, but I thought I would give it a shot.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprised at the performance, but just started using it.

Pros: Small foot print; Quiet (fanless); Uses a PCI-X slot; Does not require 12V 12-Pin Connector. Easy install and setup. Does the job I intended it to do quite well.

Cons: No Cons really. It's a little wide and will prevent you from using the next available slot on your motherboard, unless it's unusually far away from your primary PCI-X slot.

Other Thoughts: Windows found drivers automatically. Updated drivers from the NVidia website later. Set up in a HTPC and runs everything smoothly. Video playback performance is clear and concise. Built in HDMI has no problems carrying video and sound to my receiver. Windows Experience Index gives this a 5.3 in Desktop performance and a 6.4 in 3D business and gaming graphics. Does not appear to run hot.
