1 out of 5 eggsBlue screen while playing games

Pros: Great performance and increased fps while playing games, until my computer blue screens during gameplay.

Cons: Blue screen mid gameplay. Replaced my Geforce 680 with this Geforce GTX 780 TI, and now my PC Blue screens mid gameplay. I am still looking into how to fix it, but plan on getting a replacement in case it is just a faulty card.

5 out of 5 eggsI am impressed, and slightly relieved

Pros: In all honesty. I was absolutely sure I would be sent a dud card. I was already thinking I made a bad "impulse buy" choice. But NO. This card worked like it should and has incredible power. I went from an MSI TF 760 2gb to this beast and I couldn't be happier. I played a few games to get a feeling of the FPS and here is what I am seeing

All games absolutely maxed out with AA and Textures

Battlefield 4 MP - 125 fps

Crysis 3 - ~107 fps

AC4- Only about 60fps (bad port, couldn't reach more than 70 even with super low FPS)

Watch Dogs- ~48 fps

I play on a 144hz monitor so I like seeing every bit of it.

Anyways, I had no fan issues, coil wine, no DOA, and worked right out of the box. No overclocks were done and installation was a breeze.

Cons: Heats up more than I like to see but nothing too bad at all. I hit 75C at it's peak.

I want another one

Wrapping in the box was a little pathetic but nothing happened to my card so it doesn't really matter to me anymore.

Other Thoughts: There seem to be mixed reviews, some had bad experiences, some had good ones. But keep in mind, not everyone with good experiences will share them, but almost all with bad ones will.

Get this card. You won't regret it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card!

Pros: Well constructed (this is my second).
Fast GPU, factory overclocked.
Very good (and quiet!) cooling solution.
Good price point.
Customizable color let me match my motherboard.

Cons: One fan started rubbing on the first card at full rpm only, after eight months. It has proved to difficult for me to disassemble with the tools I have on hand without risking stripping the screws. HOWEVER, I don't ever need to run the fans at full speed so this has proved not to be an issue.

Other Thoughts: I am now running two of these and am very pleased with both.

1 out of 5 eggsTotal dissapointment

Pros: Price was lower than most other vendors.

Cons: Installation instructions were barely sufficient and must have been written by a a 6 year old. BTW, it's not in the instructions, but there is a plastic film you have to remove on the side of the card before use. I just happened to see the tiny tranparent label on the film. I installed the card and it would not work. It was looking for PCIe power cables to be connected which were already installed. The ASUS web site is completely useless and provided no information. There were no FAQ/s or detailed instructions. They offer chat but noone is available. I had to submit a case (twice) and who knows when and if they will respond. I have to give credit to Newegg. They were smart enough to make this card non-refundable. I read the wrong paragraph before opurchasing the card or I would not have ordered it with a no refund policy. Good for you Newegg because you have seen the last dollar from me.

Other Thoughts: I read the negative reviews on this site but the low price sucked me in because I thought I had 30 days to get a refund if the card turned out to be as bad as the surveys stated. I urge you to believe the negative surveys. Don't order this card and if you must, order it from a vendor that offers a refund. I was replacing my EVGA GTX 580 that installed and worked flawlessly for 2 years. I should have stayed with EVGA.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a 780 ti but nothing special

Pros: -The card is very well constructed & sturdy
-It's a 780 ti, i.e. very powerful to run the latest games. Heaven benchmarked 1594 (ultra, dx11, 8aa, max tess) @ 1048 boost.
-Very quiet at default fan settings
-Good price at $450. Wish I would have waited a few more weeks to snag it at $410.

Cons: bad overclocker
the included game is NOT really free

Other Thoughts: I only managed to reach 1048mhz on boost clock with GPU tweak, no matter what "max GPU voltage" I set. Anything higher would CTD. This translates to about 1125 real-time clock. What's curious is in GPUz during benchmarking I never saw the voltage go above 1.140 even though I set max to 1.23.
I might see a better overclock if I flash the card to get rid of GPU boost and have it run at 1.23 always. As it looks like the boost feature isn't utilizing voltage properly.

As far as the game's concerned I think it's a very slippery way to make more money with card returns. If I return this card I will only receive $396 and if you factor in shipping, about $385. Bad form Newegg. I do not think another popular seller (like the one based in WA...) would ever do this and I'm tempted to ignore Newegg for good.

5 out of 5 eggsGOOD!

Pros: This card is impressive as ****.
Runs 70C stock at max load, at like 35db.
Runs 1090mhz boost all the time.
with a custom fan profile, it runs 60C at 70% fan speeds and I can't even hear it while gaming.
It's not as fast as my 780ti hydro-copper, but still very fast for $430.

Cons: Card is very wide.
It's hard to get screws in the back expansion slots.
The rebate is a bitc**and 1/2 to get.
It's OC head room wasn't very good compared to my hydro.
I was only able to hit 1250mhz on stock voltage.

Other Thoughts: I will eventually water-block it, but it's fine for now.

4 out of 5 eggsnice, but no overclocking room

Pros: Cool, quiet. Very good performance as a single card for 1080p. I picked this up on sale, instead of a 970, because I was worried about early version issues with the 970, like coil whine. For 1080p / 1200p, and maybe 1440 (which I don't have) this card will do you well. Very nice cooler on the card, and backplate. The card looks and feels solid.

Cons: I don't seem to have any overclocking room on the unit I received. Even though the card is running cool and getting power, increasing the clock even +10 to +20 causes the card to crash in benchmarks. Note, though, that the default boost is taking the card up to 1100 clock speed during benchmark runs, so the default, out-of-the-box overclock is pretty good, and really all I need.

Other Thoughts: If I were to do it over, I'd probably just get the 970 or 980.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective card

Pros: The card "can" deliver good performance. It "can" give slightly higher frame rates than a GTX 980.

Cons: While it has the ability the ability it deliver high frames it often crashes when under moderate to high amount of load. A game like Mech Warrior Online at max setting will run at 60 fps and relatively cool but the card will randomly crash. Some times after 3 hours game play or even 3 minutes. When it dose crash it shuts down the entire system so there is no way to see what happened in the event viewer. The computer just registers a unexpected shutdown. Hooking up a second monitor to the card increased the frequency of the crashes and when i removed the monitor it was still crashing even more frequently which leads me to believe it just defective hardware which is why the support i received from asus was so bad.

Other Thoughts: It was a $665 card when bought mine in august and the price has dropped almost $200 since then. Buy any other 780ti don't take a chance on the low price there is no RMA from newegg and asus just wants to forget about.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I do apologize that you experienced issues with your graphic card. I have had quite a few of these cards in use for some time and have not experienced issues. Nor does ASUS want to "forget about" these GPUs as they have been a solid performer for us. Is your card running at ASUS set speeds or is it OC'ed further? At your earliest convenience, please contact me through email, including your reference number within the subject line, and we can discuss this case further. In addition, please provide me with what troubleshooting steps you have tried, as well as the rest of the systems hardware configuration. Thank you. Cs#N141045705

1 out of 5 eggsMajor design issue with cooling fans and backplate

Pros: Please read the pros from other review. I have not much to add. Well at least the heatshink seems to be effective

Cons: We all know how big this cards is. so after plugin it into the slot, the force of gravity pull on the end of the card, so the far end of the dips down by 5mm. When I have setup my cards for 3way sli, top card's fan is rubbing against 2nd cards's backplate and 2nd card's fan is rubbing against 3rd card's backplate....I have inside spacer and dampener to solve this . Asus designed their fan and cooling without considering real usage situation. Should be have gone for gigabyte!

Other Thoughts: Asus also advertise this card being OC edition. Which is quite missing leading since OC edition from other brands have 1020 core and 1080 boost. This Asus only have 954 core and 1020 boost

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: They run cool and mostly quiet. I was able to get SLI 1250 core clocks stable on air. 1350 or more is possible with more voltage and water blocks, but its not even worth the trouble.

Cons: I upgraded from 3 way SLI gtx 770s for these 780 ti cards in 2 way SLI. Out of 5 cards I returned 3. One caused constant crashes. The other two made metal clicking noises when the fans were above 60% and had loud vibration sounds after a few weeks. I couldn't find the problem without removing the cooler and Asus voids warranty if you tamper with it. I don't believe these cards are made to run 100% fan profiles.
