3 out of 5 eggsQuick note to consider

Pros: Build quality, aesthetics, innovation.

Cons: 2 Gig VRAM is Achilles heal. 4Gig VRAM on the box is misleading to un informed buyers about the rules of SLI. 2gig per card in SLI is 2 gig useable VRAM and it shows quickly why the high end cards all have come with more than 2 or 3 for a good while now. Very misleading to someone trying to make a hard purchase based on an informed decision. This is the reason why it does not add up when a 400 dollar card claims to be faster than one that's over a thousand. Maybe in some aspect out of context it is, but it is not a better card, nor will it game better.

Other Thoughts: All these reviews are people that upgraded. Keep in mind in many cases these people will be overjoyed do to their upgrade. They cannot objectively review the value as it compares to other products they do not have, nor do they really know what they may be missing. I have a GTX780 3Gig currently and have tested nearly every Nvidia card on the market in recent years. I'm currently testing the capability of dual Mars cards on X99 with 40 PCI express lanes CPU to dispel all the hype being worth the money for gamers via in game performance gains. Results forthcoming. But I want to say that this card is a downgrade from my GTX780. Every modern game release I own, the setting had to be lowered to get the same performance. Considerably lowered in most cases. I believe this is due to the 2 Gig per card VRAM and I also believe that had they put more on there or if they were to release a GTX 790 or a 990 that it would stomp such a mud hole in the all the Titan cards "a**es* that they would never sell another Titan. I believe there could be no other explainable reason to knowingly cripple a b*d*ss card like this than to have ones hands tied until marketing goals are reached for a previous technology that they have not finished extracting max cash from the public yet. With their numbers out of context and claims stated in an open ended way that sound great but do not necessarily mean a lot to the targeted audience. So I say this to Nvidia,

The Titan sucks. it was never worth a thousand dollars, It is easily beaten. Stop holding out and cut the loss if there is such a thing. Give us the card we all want and then charge a thousand bucks. I for one, would finally be happy to pay it. Give us a dual GPU 7 or 9 series, with true Double the bitrate and Double the single cards Cuda Cores or streaming pipelines, with, say 12 gigs(6 usable due to SLI) , and make the core clock rate high to begin with, stop with the OC model marketing crud. We know they are all the same card. This card would be worth a thousand, maybe more I would GLADLY pay this and if necessary a power supply, case, fans, motherboard, upgraded OS, whatever I had to do to have it. I think this is what people want, and as much as they have spent chasing their tales with ugrades that are not really upgraded much but sounded great and cost great, they deserve this. I deserve this, And thinking that we do not realize your ploy to get millions of sales by releasing the same darn chip 50 different ways is just insulting. Go on and release the real deal. Mark it up, heck mark it way up. No marketing will be necessary, When
I see it I WILL buy 2. No matter the cost.

5 out of 5 eggsBeen using this card since April of 2014

Pros: I was thinking of upgrading to a less bottlenecked card after this one but then I discovered how to change the settings in the Nvidia menu. As a result there was a huge increase in preformance and visual quality. problems with games dissapated and the card handled 64x anti aliasing (single 1080p monitor) on some games without a problem. I can say that my only regret was getting a motherboard that does not support sli because I would purchase a second one to handle 5k gaming.

Cons: You need to fiddle with the settings in the Nvidia control panel for desired results in my experience.

5 out of 5 eggspowerful beast

Pros: I bought this card mainly to do lots of hardware rendering in my machine. I have a ZOTAC GTX 970 Running 3 x 22" monitors, but needed the Asus mars 760 to do the heavy lifting when it came to do renders in iRay - 3DS Max 2014. this cards benchmarks 3+million polygon max scenes like is a dessert. I rendered one frame in my template scene of 3,654,258 polys at full 1080p and it looked amazing at a whooping 1.6 minutes. The same scene using Mental Ray/Med High GI with my i7 970-Six-Core CPU (12 threads) finished one frame in 16 minutes.
Not only was I able to render the same scene in 1/14 of the time as a CPU render, but the iRay rendered frame looked amazing with all sorts of shadow details, which the Mental Ray render engine could not do in 16 minutes.
Enought said, GPU rendering hardware of the future. Don't spend your hard-earned money on a brand new CPU because you can do all your rendering much faster and better looking with your GPU.

Enough said?

2 out of 5 eggsnot too satisfied

Pros: the design of the card is great
the idea of duel gpu in one card after 690, and is an affordable price for gamers

Cons: card get very very hot.

(this comment below is to the one i received)
the front top red metal plate is hanging lose, the mini display port is not align with the plate where it mount to the case. screws above the Mars sign is screw in little off. looks like they ship me the bottom of the barrel or a semi defected video card... very disappointed for this purchase.

Other Thoughts: went to get a GTX 770 4GB to SLI with my other GTX 770

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsI went from using one GTX 760 to two GTX 760's and oh boy..

Pros: Price-$489 bucks! Thanks NEWEGG OPEN BOX! Sure it didn't come with the original box but I got the card with all the original accessories.

Speed/Power-MAN THIS THING IS FAST!! I've been gaming with a single EVGA GTX 760 4gb FTW for about a year now. It served all my needs at 1080p on my 60 inch plasma screen tv. Overclocked with almost every game at max settings, with ABSOLUTELY NO ANTI-ALISING (I don't believe in it at 1080p and higher. TURN YOUR SHARPNESS TO ZERO) and keeping PHYSX turned off, (except on the older games.) I was getting a constant 60fps in all my games. But UNBELIEVABLE! When I installed this bad boy, like an earlier reviewer said, EVERY GAME FELT CHANGED. I can now MAX OUT EVERY GAME ( I still don't use anti-aliasing) and every game runs sooo fast it is ridiculous. I can't explain it...The characters and the general movement of everything on screen has completely SPED UP! Sometimes to frightening speeds. I hooked up 3 1080p plasma screen tv's to this thing and it STILL ran all my games at max settings and 60fps. Crazy.

Overclocking-A lot of dual gpu cards don't overclock that well but this one is different. Using the Asus GPU TWEAK software that came with it I was able to comfortably raise the gpu and memory clock quite a bit higher than the default factory overclock the card shipped with, especially with the memory. This resulted in vastly increased performance in all of my games and I'm pretty sure that influenced the speed aspect I spoke about earlier.

Looks and Build Quality-It is a gorgous card. Pulsating Red LED MARS logo was a nice touch. Just like the website and promos said this card was build with top notch components and it shows. No joke. They even threw on a backplate and even though my old card was the most powerful 760 evga made, it didn't even come with a back plate. Thanks Asus.

Cons: Heat-It is a dual GPU card so expect your power consumption and temperature to go up inside your case. Keeping those dual 760 gpu cool involves exhausting all that excess heat into your case.

Memory-Only 2gb. Remember guys 4gb of ram total on board but only 2gb is usable due to the other 2gb going to the frame buffer. I wouldn't recommend this card for anything higher than one or two resolutions above 1080p and still keep great fps performance Which leads me to my next con...

Price- Even though I got this card for a reduced price I feel like the regular price of this card is a tad bit much. I mean currently one Asus GTX 760 2gb is $259 sooo naturally adding another would bring up the price to $518. Why in the blue dynasty of creation is the price $639 bucks?? Is it because Asus was like "Hey....we gave you something that didn't exist before. We did the work so...yeah." Either way for only 2gb of usable memory that's a bit much.

Other Thoughts: This card is just like the Nvidia GTX 690 except for a much cheaper price, better cooling and higher stock factory clocks. Not stronger. But definitely close. Especially after overclocking this beast you will probably have the performance of a strait out the box none overclocked GTX 690. The Overclocked Mars 760 has beaten a lot of the 780 TI's on the market from what I've seen and read and if you can keep it cool, you won't be let down. I highly recommend this card to anyone. I couldn't even imagine using two of them. I'm gonna be riding the 1920x1080 train till the wheels fall off guys. A 4k tv or monitor is WAY too expensive and way to immature at the moment to even consider until we start seeing them pop up at Wal-Mart. I paid $500 bucks for my 60 inch plasma and until 4k hits that level of adaptation. This card will last me for YEARS AND YEARS to come.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fancy,.

Cons: Unfortunately I returned this card, and GTX 780 Ti, because these cards are ment for 'higher' res. Having said that, The GTX 580 3gb @ 1080p/i is equal to both these cards. In the mist of my scramble. I had the GTX 680 2gb in as well, with my monitor max at 1080p/i Asus 27HQ There isn't any notiable performance gain. Yes their is better structure for the lay of the land, and characters. But it is not a justifiable gain, if your monitor has a max of 1080. This entails that the upgrade isn't just hardware. It's peripherals as well. On that note. For latest technology as far as physix and the "lower" end of the 7xx series is sufficient for game play. Unless one is running or wanting 3D surround, the 760 is perfect but again, it isn't a justifiable 'upgrade for 1080' however if your building a computer stray from 770's and 780's unless your purchasing a 30 inch monitor or 4k TV. Just sayin' :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Card fit nicely in my home theater case (Fractal Design Node 605). I have been able to run almost everything at max with no issues. No issues with Sli either.

Cons: A bit pricey for what you get, but it fit my needs perfectly.

Other Thoughts: Switched out my crossfire 7950 set up to this card due to space and driver issues. Crossfire was wonderful when it worked, however I got tired of the headache and jumped ship to SLI. Cards put off quite a bit of heat in my HTPC case but it was expected. Overall I am very satisfied and thinking of picking up another to throw in my rig.

5 out of 5 eggsDual Mars 760

Pros: This is a follow up to a earlier the second Mars in and the performance is out standing.. No issues with FPS on 2 x 27 monitors even on BF4 the new Sky Rim Online is all max and over 60 FPS very happy with them. Yes I hear all the time Titan or some other card is better, or sli never well no problem with the drivers and Nvidia is keeping ever thing up to date. And sorry Titan is not an ROG card there is a difference.

Cons: Price, only 4 gig as said before

Other Thoughts: Think I will start saving for the next round of Mars as I am one happy gamer with these two cards. This is my hobby so money is not the issue looks and performance are the only ones.

5 out of 5 eggsThe PS4 comments......

Pros: Forgot to mention in my post, everyone should ignore the guy who made the comments about the ps4 being better than this card graphic wise, in fact his review should be deleted as this is entirely untrue. The ROG Mars 760 is faster than the original $1000 GTX Titan.. It is neck and neck with the 780ti depending on model. The only card that would be faster than this is the gtx titan black, and maybe the ROG 780ti matrix. Neither which are released yet. The PS4 graphics are about the same as the 7850 gpu on amds radeon line up. Which is nothing to brag about. That gpu is just mid range at best compared to what is out today....

Cons: No cons
