5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-4GD5 Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Much more quieter than my 7870 which quit on me last week after a couple years of use. Plenty enough power for ultra/high settings when using 1080p.

4gigs of Vram, although it probably won't ever be fully used but it never hurts having to much memory.

Would recommend this card for those using 1080p.

Cons: Couple small cons, when looking underneath the cooler from the side I noticed that not all Vram chips are completely covered by the heatsink but I don't expect there to be a problem with overheating on the memory.

Card is about inch longer that the 7870 which made it a tight fit behind the pump for my watercooling. Not that much of hassle getting it installed though.

Other Thoughts: After a bit of gaming I ran FurMark to stress test the gpu while monitoring the temps. I use manual fan control set at 85% which is about as high as I can go before I start noticing the sound from the fans. With my 7870 I couldn't go over 50-60% before the fans started whining. The R270X fans doesn't whine just the movement of air that I can hear.

After a 30 min run with the benchmark putting my gpu at 99% usage and fans still set a 85% the temps leveled off at 66C and never went above that. Not bad but I'll later remove the cooler and reapply the thermal paste with some Gelid extreme.

Overall, I'm satisfied enough with this card to give it 5 eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-4GD5 Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Upgraded to this card after using crossfired HD 6850's which were also made by Asus. Compared to them, this is a major improvement from what I been working with. Runs all games I throw at it at ultra settings with ease. Was going to get just the model with just the 2Gb video memory, but I am glad I dished out the extra $20 for this card.

As far as sound goes, it runs pretty quiet. Along with that, the card stays pretty cool while gaming. Great card overall, and a great buy for those interested in upgrading to this, or to use as their first graphics card.

Cons: Non so far. Runs perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsWOT and War Thunder NO issues

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-4GD5 Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: This is an upgrade from an ATI 7750. It has twice the BITS and 4X the memory. I now have ZERO video issues. I can run Improved in WOT at about 50 FPS and WT on high at about 150FPS (time to turn WT up to MAX). I run dual 24" HD monitors with no problem on stock settings. I just started to "tweak" a little but I don't need to at all.

Cons: None with the card.
Now I need a new motherboard so I can run 2 of them.

Other Thoughts: The install was really easy and fast. It took me less than 15 minutes to install and update drivers.
It runs very cool and quiet. It has never been above 65 DEG C.

5 out of 5 eggsVideo Card Kingdom

This review is from: ASUS DirectCU II R9270X-DC2T-4GD5 Radeon R9 270X 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Well this card has amazing Graphics as well as the performance capabilities and boasts a great many things witch to this point seem to be true. Backwards compatibility is there. I am using a 2.0 x16 pci express slot and can run War Thunder on max settings at over 70 fps. and around 60c a around 30 at idle a tad hotter than I expected not bad at all with the new card , see cons I had no issues installed perfectly first time around.
The software works fine even without updating it on the site to the newest edition. Tweak and monitor.

Cons: My first one arrived technically was a DOA but actually worked with some issues. would only run with a standard driver and would not engage the monitor withe the AMD or ASUS drivers available. I also had to go to windows 7 as the box claims it supports vista but does not.
I just wanted to add New Egg took care of everything to make sure my issue was resolved in a timely fashion.

Other Thoughts: I very much like the card well worth the money and should handle most i do however its only been a few weeks so I will update this soon.
I would recommend this card to anyone looking for a solid graphics card for a reasonable price.
