5 out of 5 eggsNice card, the cooler...

Pros: Had 14.4 driver already installed from a hd 7770, unplugged it and installed this card, no problems. Runs as cool as everyone els has stated and can max every game with playable fps.

Cons: I noticed the vrm's would get to 95c so I checked the card's heatsink and it It depressed 3/16 of an inch when i squeezed the side of the card, which made me wonder if it was making proper contact. I put a light weight clamp on the side to keep it depressed and now the vrm's don't exceed 60c and 27c(there are two vrm sensors). Since then i have overclocked it to 1120 core and 1400 memory with no voltage bump and completely stable, and still around 70c at full load. So a small con but a huge comeback on the oc!

4 out of 5 eggsDon't underestimate it

Pros: let's see here...

- its power draw isn't near as bad as I expected
- Very quiet
- despite what everyone says, it runs fairly cool. Under the highest load I saw about 185 degrees F, and I'll admit, it was a pretty heavy load. I wanted to push this thing, see what she'd do.
- Visually stunning graphics. It just doesn't compare to my old R7 250 that it replaced. There's just no comparison. It's like comparing a BB gun to a cruise missile.
- AMD's gaming deal right now. 3 free games? Yes, please!

- They made unboxing it an event. I may just be simple minded, but it was a true over-hype moment when I got to open that embossed-cardboard, gold-lettered box.

Cons: - It's a GIANT graphics card. I had to bend the side plate of my tower a bit to ensure clearance between it and what I can only describe as a heat pipe. I ended up just leaving the side cover off of my computer...makes it easier to clean out, anyways.

- I didn't come with all the necessary wiring. It came with one 4-pin cable, when it required two. Thankfully, the power supply I bought with this came with more spare cables than I needed, and I found one that works. Bad ASUS! You send everything that's needed with your cards!

- The instructions were as clear as mud. They were highly generalized, and probably weren't even for the graphics card I purchased.

Other Thoughts: For the price, I'm a happy camper. It runs competitively against my friends and their vaunted NVidia graphics cards, while being at a lower price point. Sometimes it'll even outrun their cards.

In using it with Star Citizen, the graphics are almost too clean, too crisp. I showed my father my hanger in Star Citizen, and he swore up and down it looked real(heh, entertaining the old folks!)

on World of Tanks, at High settings, I'm averaging about 40-45 FPS, which of course fluctuates largely due to the nature of the game itself. It runs great at Ultra, but my eyes can only handle so much.

really, in my modest collection of 40-something games, I have yet to find one that doesn't run at High or better.

Also, I get a new ship for Star Citizen thanks to me buying this graphics card? Thanks, AMD!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Video Card

Pros: Driving three displays nicely with this card. The main monitor is 2560x1440 and this card plays smooth at butter at max settings.
Been a long time ASUS user and glad I stayed with them.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Best experience I have ever had with a graphics card buy. Everything just worked.

5 out of 5 eggsBought it cause it was on sale

Pros: I was planning on getting the R9 290x but my whole of died on me so I had spread out my funds. my old card was the 6950 1gig and I thought that card was big until I opened this card. This card is big just to let you know, it's not the best card out but if you are on a tight budget this card it the way to go. And when 3 gigs are not enough down the line just crossfire this card which I am planning on doing. Also make sure you're psu is strong enough to support it! I am happy with this card!

Cons: might too big for certain towers

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for the buck

Pros: Fast card. Great price.

Cons: That "new video card" smell. Took a couple of days for the strange smell to dissipate. I did a bunch of number crunching on this card so it was running at 95% load for a day. I've never had a video card stink before. But this one smells like grease, or probably more accurately ball bearing oil. The room doesn't stink now after a little over a week of use. I guess you'd call it the "break-in" period.

Also I have a custom curve on the fan setting using afterburner to try and lower the temperature. The fan is quite loud while it's at 70% and the GPU temperature remains at 70c. My ambient room temperature is 26c. I could lower the fan speed but the temperature would increase to uncomfortable levels. And this is all while the video card is at 95% capacity number crunching.

Haven't played any games yet with this card, but I'm sure they'll all rock.

Other Thoughts: This is an upgrade from an old nvidia gtx 285. I was getting about 15000 password hashes a second using an old cudahashcat. Now with this card I'm getting about 108000 hashes using oclhashcat with a mild overclock, and I've spent less now than I did back then.

I may try a water cooled system on this card. It would be nice to lower the temperatures and lower the noise.

All in all seems like a competent video card.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality

Pros: Quality of this card is really amazing stays cool under load
Didn't fail when played for 4 hours straight

Cons: My card was damaged during shipping. (broken fan blade) even though it was damaged it still worked great and keep the card
I got a replacement just because of the vibrations coming from the fan with the missing fan blade.

Other Thoughts: i really recommend this card for anyone who wants a quality video card and my 5 stars for Asus and newegg for customer service and quality

4 out of 5 eggsOverall good card

Pros: the card is very powerful for the price and the 3gb of graphics memory allows for higher texture resolutions on some games (ie titanfall). The included software is usefull. It also has great cooling, i've never had any issues with heat even when under load

Cons: The card is huge, even in my full size case I needed to remove a fan to get the thing to fit. It's the same size as a 7970, so it's one of the biggest cards on the market

Other Thoughts: if iitll fit in your case it's a great buy

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance for the price

Pros: This card is great. ASUS makes great products and the direct cu ii cooler works flawlessly, and its also very quiet. I bought this for 209$ (190$ after rebate). That has to be one of the best price to performance ratios. On unigine heaven 4.0 extreme preset this card only gets 5 less fps than the same card but the 280x version, and 6 less than a gtx 770. Do the math, this card is great for the price.

Cons: No cons so far.

Other Thoughts: This card is great as stated previously. I bought this as a replacement for an RMA'd gtx 770 and i am impressed. It is almost exactly the same performance for way cheaper, about 100$ on average.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for your buck!

Pros: Fast and comes overclocked and plays all my games very well and high settings and barely gets hot and idles very cool.

Cons: None that I an think of.

Other Thoughts: This graphics card is a great card for the money and is super fast and there isn't a game I can't play with the settings on high at 1600*900 resolution. And this card doesn't go over 70C which is great. Make sure your case can fit this beast because it's huge and barely fit in my HAF 912 mid tower and had to take the center hard drive bay out and remount the drives to fit.
