5 out of 5 eggsIts an 8800GT DUR!!

Pros: Its an 8800GT.. Its 3% slower than a 8800gtx in most cases @ 1600x1200 or so. Its dx10 ready and it beats crysis's Behind!

Cons: Its leadtek. I wanted evga but i couldnt afford it with tyhe $500.00 of upgrades i was doing such as a new psu and a zalman 9700 and stuff

Other Thoughts: If your cards running hot use Riva -tuner to force the fan speed to 100% dur..
Sys specs. Amd opteron 165@2.9ghz 2x1gb Kingston ddr400
Zalman 9700NT 600 watt PSU.. If i dont get 10k in 06 im gonna be p'd! havent recieved card yet but i bought it!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card is amazing. This is the reference version though. If you know what you are doing you can overclock to 675/1850 easily and save yourself some money.

Cons: Cooling system is not very good but it helps to keep the cost down.

3 out of 5 eggsruns hot

Pros: outstanding nVidia chip. card can overclock to 700/1000 on its own cooler easily w/o issues. (i dont, only wanted to see, verified w/3D benchmarks)

Cons: The card has cooling issue. The fan just does not kick in to start cooling it down. Just lets it go to high 70s Celcius. (Probably let it burn it, only noticed cause game crashed). They seem to be aware of the problem as they have a new bios for the card for "better fan cooling". Tried it, no go. My brother bought same card at same time as me and has same problem.

Other Thoughts: Should not have shipped product with such obvious issue. Waiting for Leadtek technical support to resolve issue. Ive only started the process. So far its reached mid-high 70 degrees Celcius and crashed game when i forget to change fan speed manually (nVidia control panel doesnt seem to let to you save that setting, so HAVE to remember every boot). Flashing the card was a big hassle, fyi. used nvflash.exe version 5.57.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid like the plague

Pros: The box is shiny.

Cons: The card arrived physically OK. After installation, I got no video output at all. The built-in fan was buzzing already, rubbing against the enclosure. Swapped in a PCI video card to troubleshoot. The driver included on the CD was bad, card was still DOA with a Forceware driver.

Other Thoughts: Leadtek has zero tech support in the US, their website doesn't even list this card, and is written in broken English. Avoid this card and this company like the plague.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware of Leadtek

Pros: I don't own this particular card, but I was having stability issues with a Leadtek 8800 GTS 640mb and discovered that their customer service/tech support is non-existant in the US.

Cons: With enough persistance I DID get someone at a California number to answer the phone, she told me in broken english that I would need to e-mail the company my request for help. After a week of waiting for a response I begged Newegg to take the card back and they did.

Other Thoughts: Spend the extra $20 and go with a reputable mfr (even though they're all made in the same plant)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Great card
I overclocked it to 731Mhz with the Fan at full speed and got 3D mark to complete.
Without turning up the fan I got it to run at 700Mhz and maybe 720Mhz.

Cons: Like Asus card, I did not find any overclocking utility for Vista from Leadtek.
I use Riva Tuner to overclock but each time I reboot the value is gone.
Winfox that ships with the card is XP only.

Other Thoughts: In text mode the card displays a white rectangle. It is like a white border 1/2 cm thick.
Once Vista is booted up, graphic mode, the rectangle is gone.

I am not sure if that rectangle is by design or a bug.
I have not seen anyone else mention it.
I am connected to a Sharp LCD 1080p TV via HDMI-DVI.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Videocard Investment Out There

Pros: Came from a 7800GTX @ 490 core/1350 mem. Better GPU architecture--higher clock speeds. Sitting stable @ 680 mhz core/1700mhz shader/1800mhz mem. This is on air (stock hs+f) with load temperatures never exceeding 70 degrees celcius. Almost doubled my 3DMark05 score (from low 8,000 to ~15,400).

Cons: Stock heatsink/fan is not sufficient cooling unless you manually override the fan speeds. I just your run-of-the-mill GPU tweaking software to make the fan on @ 70% all the time.. keeps GPU temps well under 50 celcius at idle.

Other Thoughts: Can't beat the bang-for-buck value of this card. Rivals all of the higher-priced, dual-slot cooled cards in a more efficient, less power-consumptive design. NVidia hit the nail on the head.

5 out of 5 eggsBest buy as for 11/12/07

Pros: Awesome card! Could not be happier :). Runs @ 45C on water, and is quick.

Cons: Other then stock heat sink, none.

Other Thoughts: 13,xxx in 3DMarko6, and runs Stalker at 1920x1200 Max settings great. WooHoo!

5 out of 5 eggsAnything else is a waste of money

Pros: I only buy a card every 2-3 generations, so this was an upgrade from an ATI850XP - what a world of difference. World in Conflict, Company of Heroes, FEAR, HL2, WoW all run smoothly at 1600x1200 with all the doodads turned on. Newegg ships quickly and safely as always.

Cons: Included nVIDIA drivers were already out of date, but no big deal to download. I also want a refund for the NWN2 that was included that I'll likely never play.

Other Thoughts: Budget gamers, this is your card. Enthusiasts, buy two for the price of one of those XFX platinum pro super duper cards.

1 out of 5 eggsToo Hot

Pros: 112Sp, the only good point this one has.

Cons: TOO HOT! Trying to overclock it, but my system started to crush. the heat sink is poor.

Other Thoughts: Why didn't nvidia give us a product that support DX10.1. Hopes they will change the fan
