5 out of 5 eggsGood, powerful card

Pros: Runs EVERY EVERY EVERYTHING (except Brink, which had low framerates) I've ever thrown at it. Sadly giving mine away soon;-( BUT I've played many games, and it plays 'em all, not necessarily maxed out, but very stable. Here's the list of what I consider upper-end games it'll play fine:

Civilization 5 - Dead Space 2 - F.E.A.R. 1 & 2 - Avatar the Game - Burnout Paradise - Call of Duty Black Ops - Colin McRae's DiRT 2 & 3 - Crysis 1 and YES, 2 as well!!! - Dark Void (problems with PhysX setting though) - Dead Rising 2 - Duke Nukem Forever - Fable III - Grand Theft Auto IV (on Lowish to medium settings, I believe) - My FAVORITE!!! Just Cause 2 - Left4Dead 1 & 2 - Mass Effect 2 - Mirror's Edge - Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Most Wanted, Shift 2 Unleashed - Ninja Blade - Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions - Starwars Force Unleashed - Orange Box/Portal 2 - Transformers War for Cybertron - Unreal Tournament III... yeah Think that's about it:-)

Cons: Now, can't be positive, but holly cow, speedfan (and Every other temp tool) shows 200 Fahrenheit, on a load :-0 that's nearly boiling... not healthy... and it feels like it, too (burning yourelf on the card, however, leaves cool looking lines on your hand:-))

Also, it couldn't play the game Brink...

Other Thoughts: My baby was for a long time an AMD Phenom Toliman X3 (Tricore all the way!) @ ~2.1GHz, an ECS A780GM-A mobo, 2GB 800MHz DDR2 RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit, then upgraded to a new mobo (Biostar A770E3), with which cam new RAM (1 x 4GB DDR3 1333), and a new CPU (an AMD Phenom II Deneb X4 3.2GHz, which was oc'ed to 4.0GHz [non-stock cooling], stable), and have used this card the whole time... goodbye, Giggidy...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Good build quality, completely silent

Cons: None, but card height may be a problem for some cases.

Other Thoughts: I owned this card for three years and it has served me well as a HTPC video card with some light gaming. It was housed it in a Shuttle SG33G5 case which is limited to single slot cards. For a silent, single-slot solution, this card is an excellent option.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Video

Pros: I love the quiet!

Cons: Rather large, but I made sure it would fit before I bought it.

Other Thoughts: Still waiting for the rebate (going on 4 months now). I don't recommend it at the full price.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet performer

Pros: Works perfectly in my MythTV system. Needed a silent video card that could deliver HD content in a linux environment.

Cons: No HDMI output

4 out of 5 eggsGood Overall Video Card

Pros: Easy to install

Great Video

Cons: It does run rather hot.

I recommend a case with lots of space and plenty of fans and air circulation

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good.

Pros: Worked wonderfully for the 1 day I used it. It didnt catch fire or even get hot, but from the other reviews it seems it has problems with heat. I only used it for a little while because I bought it for my friend, and used it until my 9800gt showed up. Ran crysis pretty good :P
Dead silent too.

Cons: none from what i found.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet, small size relative to other passive 8600s.

Cons: Hot. Idles at 58C, hits the 80s after 10 minutes of use. This hasn't caused any problems yet, just worrying.

3 out of 5 eggsNice, but...

Pros: Silent; has a nice heft to it; rebate; decent quality

Cons: This thing does run HOT and is the reason for the average rating. I knew this purchasing the card, but jeez. I had to add some small fans around this to keep it cool. (small case) I suppose if you have a large case with good airflow, you'll be fine; otherwise, I'd purchase a card with a fan.

1 out of 5 eggsPuff Puff

Pros: Completely silent, whether working or catching fire.

Cons: Makes all nearby components hot as a bucket of puds in the Everglades, Takes up tons of case space, Randomly lets out puffs of smoke and roasts your mobo after using it for 3 months.

Other Thoughts: To achieve the same temperatures and effects on the rest of your hardware that this videocard will have, save some money and use a book of matches instead.
