- Pros: runs everything i play exceptionally well, and at incredible detail levels.
- Cons: runs a bit hotter than my previous card, idle~60c, load~90
i have found this to be an issue between case and cooler design though while building another system. with a door fan blowing air onto it, it drops 10c.
also, could have come with a better game imo. :P
- Other Thoughts: the fan DOES speed up, but its not at the typical temps. a biproduct of people complaining about the sound levels no doubt. as it is though, it runs nearly silently.

Great card
- Pros: Runs games smooth. The card itself is quite and cool at full load. 55nm technology, it consumes less power than the 8800GT. Supports high quality video playback for your blu ray or HD DVD.
- Cons: Price is $260 but Gigabyte is known to have high quality products from motherboards to graphics cards. So price is worth it.
- Other Thoughts: The card takes out two slots so make sure you have the space in your motherboard.
Great card!
- Pros: I moved from an AGP 4X Radeon 9600 to this card, so there was a huge performance gain. The card installed easy and the system poasted with no problems. I can play CoD4 at 1600x1024 on max settings without any trouble.
- Cons: The fan only runs at about 20% and never increases, even under load. You will need to manualy set the fan speed to aout 54% before the temps get down into the acceptable range.
- Other Thoughts: Gigabyte X38-DQ6, Gigabyte HD 3870 512MB, Intel Q6600 Go 2.4MHz, Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2 @ 1066, ViewSonic VX2235 22" LCD.
