Thermal paste...
- Pros: Awesome Zalman heatsink. Card was cheap when i purchased it.
- Cons: Noticed the heatsink was a little loose. I removed to see what was up and there was NO THERMAL PASTE!!!! Both the gpu and the sink were shiny as can be. No wonder it overheated and has to be RMA!
- Other Thoughts: Will never buy Gigabyte ever again. Also, this card isnt a 3870, its a 3850 OC from the factory to look like a 3870.
great card
- Pros: great video card. No problems running the few games I play, now all at the highest settings.
- Cons: None
Love it
- Pros: Zalman heatsink and fan keep it cool, CCC Overdirve "Autotune" puts it at 870MHz clock and 1050MHz ram, inexpensive.
- Cons: A little big but it fits in my ATX mid.
- Other Thoughts: GDDR4 would have been nice, but the Zalman cooler let's you OC a lot anyway. I Can now play Crysis with the DX9 altered CVarGroups.cfg file on XP w/ Very High settings except for the Motion Blur, which I keep at High. And this is with an old Athlon 64 x2 3800+ @ 2.15 GHz and 3 gigs of DDR-400 on XP x64. and of course all my other games i can max out(COD4, AOE 3, HL2, Bioshock).
