- Pros: This card is great for budget gamers like myself. The only game I really play WoW, and before, I was lucky to get 20 fps with my integrated 8200, but with this card I am able to run WoW on high settings
- Cons: None at the moment that I can see, except that it isn't top of the line.
- Other Thoughts: Perfect for any gamer on a budget.
Good Card, Good Price
- Pros: Easy to install, Works with alot of games including Grand Theft Auto 4, Spore & many more.
I've never been able to play many 3-d rendered games and this was one of the first times that I got to experience some really neat advanced in the 3d gaming world with the new technology that's been out these last few years like reflections, textures, lighting, and focal blur.
The card is good, Not the best but not bad at all and I am okay with the purchase I made and would recommend it to anyone new to gaming and graphic cards because these cards can be costly.
- Cons: At first I didn't understand what the 512mb limit was for but now I do and it does effect gameplay especially the quality of the gameplay/framerate as well.
I can't play Grand Theft Auto IV with much detail, No high quality textures and the framerate is laggy sometimes. The game goes through phases as well where the entire screen just slows down to a minimum of about 1 frame per 5 seconds which can make winning the game very difficult. I also notice it's slow in certain parts of the map like the big city with all the cars and building it's obvious that I would encounter a problem. I do own a legit copy of the game, I bought this card specifically for GrandTheftAuto IV and Spore. Spore has actually no problems in any way, shape or form. Everything is pre-optimized though so that seemed inevitable and the textures of that game turned out to be medeocure esp. compared to GTA4.
Card is also very big compared to my last card but fit snug in my pc Not Newegg or the cardmaker's fault th
- Other Thoughts: I am still enjoying GTA4 so while I may do alot of complaining the card WORKS, and I am having fun. I can't wait to try more programs to take advantage of this card.
Thank you gigabyte for providing this card!
Great card
- Pros: Even though others have said it was loud, i found mine to be relatively quiet. Installation was pretty easy, and the software installation is pretty straight to the point. Havent had a chance to test it out on games, mainly because(look below)...
- Cons: Bought an official nVidia 8200 XFX motherboard, and after installing the drivers for the nVidia mobo, and then installing the GFX card and installing ITS drivers, there seemed to be a software conflict with the two cards. My resolution got dropped down to 800x600 and dropped into 4-bit color scheme :/
- Other Thoughts: After uninstalling the original mobo drivers, display returned to normal but my rig didnt recognize neither my chipset nor this gfx card. Very confusing.
