1 out of 5 eggsMajor disappointment

Pros: Exactly as described, and it was easy to install.

Cons: Horrible at playing videos through an AGP 4X port, as videos will only show about 5 fames per minute.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this video card because my old one also lagged when playing videos, but since my computer has an AGP 4X port, I still experience severe lag when watching videos.

If you own a computer that has an AGP 4X port, don't even bother buying a new video card, you're better off just buying a brand new computer.

4 out of 5 eggsNewegg: Bad impression from a first time buyer.OPEN box sold as NEW

Pros: -Very Linux friendly, worked out of the box ( ubuntu 10.4 )
-worked perfectly with my SONY BRAVIA 40" LCDTV without any problem
-worked flawlessly with my DVI-HDMI cable ( purchased from *m*z*n* )

Cons: -came in an OPEN Box, which was sold to me as a NEW item ( didn't wanna complain since this is gonna be my 1st & last purchase from Newegg. I didn't wanna send it back cuz I live overseas & that's just gonna cost me a lot )
-Don't expect to play HD video content with this card cuz it's not VDPAU capable (not hardware accelerated )
-gets hot (passive cooling) & reaches the 60 Celsius very quickly

Other Thoughts: Newegg: Stop fooling people & sell them OPEN box stuff which are advertised as NEW box ... Shame on you guys... You need some management at your warehouses.
-I've been a customer for other famous online stores for quite sometime & this kinda mishap has never occurred to me.
-This was my first time I buy something from Newegg, and I'm telling you: WHAT AN IMPRESSION !!!
-Better keep my loyalty to other online stores that have never failed me.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great on old intel 875p

Pros: My eight year old all in wonder card failed. Brought this AGP card as a replacement. Popped it in and the machine came back from the dead. Very easy. Could not be happier

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Really fast shipping

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied customer at great price!

Pros: Perfect to replace onboard vga when upgrading to a new 23" full HD monitor.
This is probably one of the best performance AGP cards you can still buy when comparing performance/price!

Cons: None So Far.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking to do some real gaming and go with this card... you would do much better to upgrade your system to a motherboard with PCI-Express. I mean, come on! It's 2011!

3 out of 5 eggsGood for XP, lousy for Win 7

Pros: AGP for those who need it
Solid in XP

Cons: Does not work in windows 7 using nvidia drivers, which claim to support it. Works with VGA compatibility drivers, but causes crashes using the newest windows 7 drivers that should support it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: I have an older computer that the video card was failing. Local stores didn't carry an AGP card that would work. A previous attempt at a similar AGP video card from a different retailer did not work. This GIGABYTE one worked perfectly right out of the box. Hardware installation was simple. Loading the device driver from the provided CD worked first try without confusion. I was so glad to find something that worked.

A big reason I chose this particular video card was due to all the positive responses I read right here about it.

Note: This video card does NOT require an additional power connection. A previous attempt to replace my video card did require one, and my computer didn't have any more power connections available.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I am not a gamer or have a need for the expensive higher end video cards and don't know anything about all the options those provide. But this card provided great clarity and resolution options. If you just need a simple replacement of an AGP video card, I highly recommend this one.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Bought to upgrade older Dell Dimension 8200 with an AGP 4 slot. Everything loads & runs much faster.

Cons: The most recent NVIDIA Drivers caused the monitor screen to flash after XP loads. The driver included on the CD didn't.

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsGood for Modest Needs

Pros: Replaced an expired FX 5200 having 128bit mem bus w/this 64bit mem bus 6200 in an Intel D875PBZ board running XP Home. 128bit FX 5200 mem was clocked at 400 (effective re DDR). Everest says 64bit 6200 DDR2 mem is clocking at 803MHz (without OC in this particular mo-board) so expected 2D performance to be about same. 6200 2D perf on supplied 190.38 driver or higher had Open GL crippled as usual for above Forceware 90 drivers so 2D was a dog. Put 6200 on my favorite driver for old gen nVidia GPUs, 91.47, as used w/FX5200. 2D throughput of 6200 was 10% lower at 268MP/s but 3D throughput of 6200 was 314MP/s, slightly over 2x the FX 5200's. So, on 91.47 driver a failrly well balanced 2D/3D card, which is pretty unusual. Not experiencing any deficits from using 91.47 driver (it contains the 6200's PCI ID string). So there you go- not a gamer card but 3D should satisfy Aero if you're a convert to newer Window's desktop of Vista or Win7.

Cons: Runs on the warm side as you might expect for an air cooled GPU chip operating at 350MHz- 63C loafing. High by old standards but not unusual for air cooled GPU and mother board core logic chips. Using a gutted old Dell biege case circa 1998 Dimension with moderate air flow which just happened to accommodate a D875PBZ with minor blockage of I/O ports.

Other Thoughts: Didn't have to resort to nVidia Control Panel reduced blanking (CVT) custom timing to set a Dell G2210 LED LCD to native 1680x1050 res on DVI (without D-sub adapter) as was required on FX 5200. BTW, LED computer monitors save a lot more power than LED HDTVs. Enjoy and strive to be 'Green'!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for Old system

Pros: Plugged into a 2.8 Ghz P4 with 1 GB of memory. Use as my Home theater system to run HDTV thru a tuner card and works great. System struggles to play HD content from the web but that is because the CPU is 100%.

Cons: Make sure have a fan blowing on this card if you are going to run it hard or it will get hot
