5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Windows 7 rating at 6.3. a 1.1 upgrade from my laptop. Love the heatsink. Runs great on my 26" 1080p TV.

Cons: None significant enough yet

Other Thoughts: Does block one of my PCIE x1 slots. No big deal though have plenty.

4 out of 5 eggsSuprised at the speed for a low end card

Pros: Zalman fan/sink, not OEM. Fairly quiet. Would be great for an older HTPC upgrade. Supports HDMI and comes with an internal digial audio path though cable.

Cons: Probably not much slower than this for the price. If I would overclock... I'd pull the heat sink and replace the mystery material underneath. Unique design makes me wonder about it's effectiveness for long term or hard usage.

Other Thoughts: Bought this as a spare. I have plenty of PCI, and AGP cards but no PCIe for testing. I used it a little when I bought it and it does a good job in a few minor games I played without changing the settings. I have not tried to overclock or really push this card but I think it could handle a boost. I didn't bother with the mail in rebate. My time is worth more than waiting 3 months for $20 back.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal for the price

Pros: Using this to run xbmc on my HTPC it has given my media center the ability to run bluray discs smoothly i am planning to add a 2nd one of these to my htpc, also i have fsx, and a bunch of other games which run great with this card it has made the picture quality much more crisp. I also got my rebate card of like $15 or $20 like 4 days back

Cons: card is a bit big compared to others i have used it blocks 2 slots on my motherboard but... i think that the high quality is worth it

5 out of 5 eggsBlueray looks good

Pros: I put this into my HTPC, blue ray looks wonderful.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I connected this to my 52" Samsung LCD and it displays very well, I couldn't be happier. I'm able to watch full 1080p without any problems. I've not attempted to O/C or play games with this so I'm unable to comment.

4 out of 5 eggsvery average card

Pros: This gpu is very average. It does well when playing fairly high graphics consuming games. Don't expect miracles or 3d ultrafast graphics, but it's nothing to shake a stick at. I ran Devil May Cry baseline and achieved 65 fps average. This is fine for the everyday user. Gaming pros will not like this very much. For the price, it gets the job done.

Cons: I was not able to overclock this gpu without it crashing after 5 minutes of flight time. stock clock runs well. When overclocked, you can baseline at about 110 fps, but it won't run at that for long. Funny thing is, core temp is only 109F when it crashes. ????? No idea.

1 out of 5 eggsWhere is The Package

Pros: I ordered 2 of these video cards but recieved only one.
Also the date on invoice #47366594 is way off showing it was submitted 5-3-2009. The ORDER WAS MADE IN JULY! this year not May

Cons: Most of the time newegg is consistent with better parts and prices but service lately has been poor. I already RMA'd a motherboard this month now I am shorted on a video card. Whoever reads this I would ask them to check out my account and verify what I am saying.

Other Thoughts: seems this is the only way to draw attention to my problem. UPS may be at fault and not NewEgg. All I am asking for is a review of my account. thank you for your time.

3 out of 5 eggsHorrible Tech support

Pros: This nVidia 9500 chipset with 512MB DDR3 appears to be just as fast as a 9600 with 1GB DDR3 but a lower cost. Coming from an ATI chipset nVIDIA cards are a much better value.

Cons: Gigabyte has no phone tech support. Using a HDMI to HDMI 1080P HDTV I don't get sound from the TV. Sound worked fine with my previous ATI chipset card. I had to email them and wait for a response which is very slow.

Other Thoughts: Other than poor tech support this card works fine. On Windows Vista Aero tests I get a 5.9 rating.
