4 out of 5 eggsSolid card for AGP

Pros: Its a good card for older AGP systems. Don't expect anything amazing but it is a good upgrade for older systems.

Cons: The driver support from Gigabyte is absolutely horrible. You can't even install the latest ATI Catalyst drivers, you have to install Gigabytes drivers which are 4 years old. I would highly recommend the HD 4670 or HD 3850 if possible for AGP.

Other Thoughts: If its the only thing you can get, go for it. If you have the option to grab an HD 4670 for a similar price though, I would recommend going for that.

4 out of 5 eggsMultiple Outputs... Almost

Pros: Installed easily. Nice to still be able to get AGP cards for surviving older PC's. I installed this in a "media server" minitower I have in a cabinet in the living room to display on the 55" HD TV and also serve as a perpetual slideshow on a 24" monitor I have mounted on the wall as as "digital frame".

Cons: Drives both displays great, but for some reason, most resolutions on the actual monitor are smaller than the full screen (like it won't run 1920x1080 and fill the screen, it shrinks it with a black border around the edge about a half inch. I run it at the 13xx resolution with no problems.

Other problem is the HDMI port is too far to the top of the card for my case. I had to butcher the case at that slot to plug in the hdmi cable. Once the case was "customized" it runs the HDMI port without issues.

Other Thoughts: Other than a couple minor things, the card works great and is in a PC that runs 24/7 with no problems.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card, Bad for my PC :S

Pros: - Outstanding Card for the Price!
- Very Slick Look to it!
- Very quiet!
- Well worth it.

Cons: - The case for the fan was a bit loose, Can easily be tightened, not worth taking that egg off.
- Why was the egg taken off? The card requires a 6pin Molex Connector, Most computer have these just lying around in the case or whatever, But the manual doesn't say that it was required for it to run, Possibly a PCI Manual not a AGP manual? Wasn't a big deal, Took awhile to figure it out, Worth taking the egg off though.

My computer's process was so old that I couldn't tell a difference in any of my games from a Stealth 120(VERY LOW END) to this HD 4650, It was a faulty purchase on my end, But it did arrive in outstanding condition, Everything worked.

- Troubles Installing the Drivers for the first time, Possibly due to I already had CCC from my old card.
- Uninstalling the drivers caused 3-4 BSOD's, I'd be very concerned about that, Could be on my end though!

Other Thoughts: Well priced card, Take advantage of it, Don't skip it up, It was mainly my fault why I had so much trouble!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing AGP video card!! (Gigabyte)

Pros: I'm running a Dell Dimension 4600 and budget didn't include me getting a new tower any time soon! For thise in the same boat as me this card is a gem!! Easiest install I've done in a long time! Believe it or not, I used the driver CD that came with it despite popular opinion! It's golden! I was able to play all the C.O.D. series up to MW2. Great detail, no slow down in fraps in the midst of a smoke grenade! (for those that get what that means) If you're trying to keep an older system alive and well THIS IS THE WAY TO GO! It also runs amazingly cool!! Unlike the Radeon 9800 Pro that cooked a few months back.

Cons: The only beef I have here was the power cable department. The description claims a six pin deal when it was actually the usual four pin power port. IT DIDN'T INCLUDE A CABLE! Order an extension if you think your existing will be too short!!!! It's three bucks extra, get it! They don't include any, period!

Other Thoughts: Listen, considering the current money sitaution this thing was a blessing in disguise. Runs cool, awesome detail in games, etc. As a matter of fact, detail I've not seen before!! If you need an AGP8X card this is it! You'll be nickel and diming yourself to death trying others.....TRUST ME!! You can get updated drivers from the AMD site if you feel so inclined. Like I said I used the CD and have yet to install the "updated drivers."

4 out of 5 eggsThis card RIPS!!

Pros: Easy to install in my Dell Dimension 4600, card worked right from the get go. Drivers installed with ease, no errors, no BSOD, nothing........

Cons: HDMI connector is not positioned correctly for an easy connection. I had to take my dremel tool and shave down the side so it would fit in because the connection is too close to the case. What engineer designed it like this?!?!

Other Thoughts: Had a little trouble get the HDMI audio working correctly. At first, was getting no sound, then after some tinkering, I got sound as 2.1 but not 5.1. Went searching on the 'net for fixes.....I tried once more downloading the updated drivers from ATI. Tried a known HD channel w/ 5.1 - PRESTO!! I got HD in 5.1 surround sound. Almost complete revamping to a HTPC....

5 out of 5 eggsgreat for an old system

Pros: Bought this in August of 09 for my dell dimmension 8300 with a p4 @ 3 with HT. This card kept me up and running with this box much longer than it should have! This is still in use in my house for my children!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: must use the drivers provided on the cd.
