5 out of 5 eggsReasonable update at good $

Pros: CHEAP, this is the lowest name branded GTX260 on the egg. Works well increased Win7 graphics number by .4 over an old 8800GTS. Can overclock well but havent really messed with it.

Cons: Its not a 275 or 285 or 296 or anything like an AT! 5xxx series in the $300+ range, but thats why it costs less.

Other Thoughts: I like it. Will OC and see if I can get better numbers from it but I'm pleased with it even without.

5 out of 5 eggsInsanely Awesome

Pros: Amazing card. EASILY overclocked to the specs of the GIGABYTE GV-N26SO-896I card (Saved myself $30 bucks doing so). In fact, it oc'd past that card with no issues. Idles cool at 45'C. Overclocked and playing MW2 at max everything for an hour left it running at 70'C with the fan at 40% (Couldnt even hear it!!!). This card absolutely slaughters every game I have in my possession...MW2, FO3 (AMAZING), Bioshock, HL2 and all its mods, L4D2, Empire Total War, etc. (Gunna put it to the test with crysis soon)

Cons: None with the card.

Gigabyte's OC utility looked ok but it didnt work for me. Im guessing it didnt work because im using the most recent drivers for the card or because im on Win7 64bit. Since im running Win7 64bit, im using EVGA Precision which is easy as pie.

Other Thoughts: I've always bought nvidia cards and usually tried to stick with the popular brands (BFG, EVGA, etc.). I was skeptical at first with gigabyte but when I really look at it, this card is better built materials-wise and outperforms the other brands even at stock settings. Best GPU buy i've ever made.

NOTE: Card is big but easily fit in my relatively small case. Make sure you have TWO PCI-e 6pin connectors!!

Also, in my honest opinion there is no need for SLI with one of these bad boys. That is unless you like throwing cash away.

Current Setup:
AMD Phenom II 925 x4 @ 2.8ghz
8 gig ram
gtx 260 OC'd

5 out of 5 eggsWorth every penny!!!

Pros: This card has amazing speed, easy to overclock and temperature run cool even under heavy loads. This beast runs threw all games I throw at it with no problems at all. I set GTA IV at high details and it ran flawless. I haven't yet encountered anything it can't handle. The price is also perfect, the quality of craftmanship and design is top notch. Not much to envy from the 280 gtx models to be honest. Running 1 card, stock with factory core clocks speed, shader and memory MHz's cause I yet don't feel the need to OC when all is running well. Looking forward in buying a second one soon to pair it in SLi mode for support on future games needing the extra horsepower... Good job on this one Gigabyte 5 stars for you *****.

Cons: Only issue is with it's monstrous size, it is very big. So make sure you have enough Case space in your rig to fit this puppy...

Other Thoughts: I would absolutely recommend this card 100%. It's made the best replacement for my prior dual 9600 GT's SLi mode and has nearly tripled my FPS on most of the games I've played so far with just a solo 260 GTX. ^^

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card for Its Price

Pros: This card can overclock and become the GV-N26SO-896I version with no problem at all. The Gigabyte HUD is very easy to use if you don't expect any advanced features for an overclock utility.

-Easy and good overclock ability
-Running cool (5min gaming load < 60C)
-Nicely build, looks nice with my ud7 which is also made by Gigabyte.

Cons: I haven't encountered any issue with this card, but I still have to mention there are two version of GTX 260 from Gigabyte you can buy from Newegg, this one and the "super overclock" one. Personally I would buy a GTX275 if that's in stock, but evidently I have to choose a lower level GTX 260 since GTX 275 are "super out of stock".

-Nvidia's fault, GTX 275 out of stock.
-Nvidia's fault, Fermi's delay result in HD5870's price tag sky high.

Other Thoughts: Just like I mentioned, if you are a serious gamer, wait for the best card either (AMD) drop the price or (Nvidia) come out. what's on the market now is midstream card that have the most performance/value ratio.

Nvidia just released details on Fermi, go check them out if you need more confidence to wait for Nvidia.

It's my personal view that is better to get one midstream card like this one now if you don't want to spend more than double bucks on the best card out there. Because you can always use this card for PhysX.

Lost planet DX10 @2048 x 1152 8xAA highest setting possible FPS=29.9/34.6(OC)
Far Cry 2 DX10 @2048 x 1152 8xAA ultra high setting

There are more space to OC, but I didn't bother since I don't have time to test over and over aga

5 out of 5 eggsSWEET!!!

Pros: This is what people mean when they say big for your buck. I got these to replace my BFG 9800GTX's that cost $339.99 a pop when they were released, second best upgrade I did in years. If you wondering if these will fit, and you have a 9800 GTX, it's the same size. It'll fit fine. The FPS in games like BF2, CoD:W@W, MW, and MW2 got a big boost. It doesn't make much since to give numbers because it depends on your setup, but you will definitely get a hugh performance gain from them. They stay fairly cool also. Comes with a nice little control panel too.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This was a good choice. It's been a while since I last bought a Gigabyte vid card, (ATI 9600 XT). I forgot they came with easy to use overclock tools. This is they best priced overclocked card out there right now

5 out of 5 eggsget this card nao

Pros: This card owns and then some. It managed to max crysis so it will surely be able to max anything else. Compared to my onboard graphics the difference is night and day. You dont need one of the super expensive cards because this does the job just fine.

Cons: This isnt really a con, but the card is massive. It stretches all the way to about an inch into my hard drive bays. Ive always had an onboard graphics card so i didnt know what i was in for. Good thing i bought an antec 900

Other Thoughts: sometimes the card will make a high pitch whine when i first load up a game. but it only lasts a minute so its not a problem
