Not A Bad Card
- Pros: I like this card, will beat a couple of HD 4550s in CF, least on my box. Have not seen how far it will go, benched at 725/850, shader 1600. No problem with AM3, 3DM 01, 03 & 05, 06 was a little jerky, all on Windows XP. Have not tried it with Vista yet. Ran cool and not very loud. Do well in a HTPC with a little light gaming
- Cons: Cost
- Other Thoughts: E8600 @ 4.25, Asus RE
User Manual
- Pros: Great card on the specs side if I get it working. Is the manual for this card or some other? Any of you first adopters see a plug on the card for power?
- Cons: The Manual says to make sure and plug in the power to the card. There is nowhere to plug anything in and I have been looking. Manual says minimum 450 watt power supply. Why, if there is no extra power plug and I only have 1 hard drive, 1 DVD writer.
- Other Thoughts: This Gigabyte Graphics card is going in a Gigabyte Motherboard. I thought it would be a good marriage since I had good luck with all 4 of my builds using Gigabyte, but the the manual is making me think thrice about that decision. Terrible descriptions and pictures are also bad. I may come back with a new review depending on what happens next. Any comments Gigabyte?
Obnoxious.
- Pros: Cheap. Worked out of box.
- Cons: This card did not do what I wanted it to do. Expect consistant freezing and crashing when running games, lockups when using Windows Media Center. Even Firefox was crashing under this card's power.
- Other Thoughts: New system. i7 920, 6gb OCZ Platinum, MSI 58M. Windows 7 x64.
