5 out of 5 eggs5450

Pros: I've had this card for about 9 months or so. i bought it knowing it was not a card for gaming, even though i use it for gaming. It uses very little energy to run compared to high end cards.

Cons: The fan is a little loud when it runs at 100%.

Other Thoughts: the card will play games at low settings, the only game ive had were it crashes is crysis but that was expected. Any other game should be able to be run at low settigns at playable fps. Overall i think for the price is a good item made by gigabyte.

Pros: Excellent service from newegg

Cons: Was DOA

Other Thoughts: I got a RMA for an exchange, but after shipping, I realized that the MB video would not support 2 monitors properly, so I asked Newegg to change to a refund, which they did, including shipping charge. I ordered and quickly received EVGA 8400 GS, because I've always been happy with EVGA boards. I'm sorry that this happened because I wanted to match the GigabYte MB which I like. Service is why Newegg is my, and many other's, primary vendor. Also credit to UPS for fast service.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect HTPC Card - SILENT!!

Pros: The obvious reasons. Purchased for H.264, VC-1, MPEG, etc video playback. Silent operation despite the small fan! Seriously guys.... for small enclosures / low airflow cases.. its perfect. Lowered my customers older AMD Sempron 1250LE 2.2Ghz based machine running Windows XP from 80%+ CPU for HD Video / Web Based video playback to 16% or less. She is pleased!

Cons: None - unless it dies and I get that dreaded phone call "I can't see anything on my screen" its golden so far.

Other Thoughts: We use these at work for attorneys, admins and other staff that need dual or tri monitor support. Still really surprised at how silent the little fan is on this thing. You guys who are concerned with noise.... won't be an issue. I've used these in numerous work / and client PC's and its perfect for those of you who are not quite ready to retire that old work horse, and it happens to have a PCIe slot. You can't go wrong! Get this card. Inexpensive way to reinvigorate that old PC.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Sauce!!!!

Pros: Very nice and sleek. Fan runs quite even at 100%. AMD overdrive lets you tweak the cards performance plus it has auto tune! Big improvement over mobo graphics.

Cons: Screen went blurry/fuzzy a few times while installing drivers and switching resolutions. But with everything installed and going it runs great.

Other Thoughts: Play WarRock and Cod4 on computer and this is what i needed!!!!

Res. set to 1024x768 on warrock was getting ~30 fps on mobo. Now getting between 60-110 fps with card at same res.

Cod4 1024x768 went from ~3 fps (yes three) to ~30-40 fps at 1920x1080.

High def video at 1080p looks amazing with card.

Temps at idle ~40C

Temps with load ~49C.

Very easy install

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Price

Cons: Was never able to get the card to install. I suspect it was a defective card

Other Thoughts: Customer support was a PITA with Gigabyte. I plan to avoid their cards/motherboards in the future

5 out of 5 eggsWorks and fits well

Pros: +Nice presentation/packaging from Gigabyte and Newegg
+This is my second build. I just put it in the x16 slot (doesn't have any power connectors to it), installed the drivers from the CD, and it gave me a 5.4 WEI (WEI is apparently worthless but just for those who care)...

Cons: -A very minor quirk: the card did not make a very solid "click" into the x16 slot... it didn't feel like it was properly suited in there. I screw-ed (Newegg is blocking this word...) on the back panel slot majigger and it is now stablized.

Other Thoughts: I have an OCZ 600W ModXStream in a Thermaltake V3 case, i5-2300, Crucial M4 64GB, Samsung Spinpoint 1TB, and the TH67+ Biostar motherboard. All works thus far, and hopefully for a while!!!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Powerful budget GPU. Stays cool, runs well.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I didn't try overclocking it. It was a cheap card to run some GFX intensive medical software, and it does the job very well. If you are building workstations and need an ATI/AMD chipset, buy this card.

4 out of 5 eggsGood GPU for mid-tower to full tower cases

Pros: This GPU works well if you plan to do internet video streaming, use simple to intermediate software graphics applications or DVD viewing. It has both a low-profile and a high-profile option which makes it handy. Mine shipped without problems and runs quiet and well (approaching 3 months of daily use now). With the rebate, this GPU came out to be $30. Nice!

Cons: I ordered this GPU for a small form factor computer and even with the low profile adapter, it was too big (VGA connector protrudes and prevents proper case closure). I had to "trim" the VGA portion to get it to fit so it left two monitor inputs for HD and DVI only. This worked for me because I don't use VGA monitors but for those users that do use VGA, be warned. For this reason, I deducted one egg.

Other Thoughts: This card is a better fitted to larger cases (mid or full tower). It did not fit in my small form factor case until I manually adjusted it with some everyday tools I had.
