5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: This lasted me three years and was able to play any game on high or ultra settings. Couldn't hear it the whole time, nice and silent.

Cons: After three years and a week it decided to die on me, but for what I payed for it, it was well worth it.

Other Thoughts: It was larger than I expected and with a mini-atx setup is barely fits in my case and comes right up next to my hard drive. If you get this to SLI or Crossfire you're going ot need a bigger boat.

4 out of 5 eggsAstonishing

Pros: I did a lot of research at the time I bought this card Spent 3 days I think just looking up cards which one was better, which card was more expensive, why, who, where, lol.

What I ended up on was this card it was without a doubt at the time the best card for 200 dollars that money could buy according to all my research and it did not disappoint.

It is fast, Still is actually, Kept really cool under stressful gameplay, only after years has the fan died out and that is honestly my fault for keeping it in a pet zone lol.

Cons: None that I can really think of I kinda wish I had bought two at the time but I didn't have the money.

Oh I guess it's size is a con, some motherboards just can't accommodate the video card's girth.

Other Thoughts: I still have it and I still use it one day I will upgrade but i don't think this card will have lost it's gaming power at all. Sure there are better cards out there now but why buy a new one when the old one still plays all the top lvl games?

1 out of 5 eggsBlue screens every 10-15 minutes

Pros: Good quality video when it works.

Cons: Every 10-15 minutes while playing a game (has done this on multiple games) it will bluescreen and cause a restart. It will also do it during normal computer use but less frequently than when gaming. I have tried the most up-to-date drivers and have used older "stable" drivers.

Other Thoughts: Used to love the Radeon HD series' but this card has turned me away.

3 out of 5 eggsMonitor Issues

Pros: Runs all games well, looks great

Cons: Driver issues from the get go. Unstable drivers and crashing whenever I upgrade to the newest driver. Most importanly tho, issues with dual monitors. Whenever a second monitor is plugged in, screen tearing whenever I scroll and resize windows etc.

Other Thoughts: Not bad card

4 out of 5 eggsyea

Pros: plays everything on max settings, crysis2 and bf3 all on high with 2x msaa at 60fps and dips down to 50fps here and there.

Cons: driver problems, one card will clock to 925 and the other can barely clock to 870, its even worse when in crossfire like 840 on the clocks.

Other Thoughts: overall im glad i picked these up when the were an open box item. only paid 300 for the 2

1 out of 5 eggsCrashes when streaming video

Pros: Runs quiet
Fairly stable when gaming
HDMI port

Cons: Crashes when streaming video
AMD software overclocking doesn't amount to much

Other Thoughts: I've had this card for 4 months. I have it hooked up to my HDTV as a media center/gaming computer. It handles midrange video quality well enough, but streaming in HD or low quality seems to crash the computer after about 30 mins, and once it crashes once, the next crashes come in sooner and sooner intervals until I power down for extended period of time. The screen will go to horizontal green/black lines, while the audio will continue for about 15 seconds and then go into an alarming buzzing noise, seems to cycle the last .1 second audio feed at a high rate.

I have updated the drivers, and manually updated Windows 7 to current. After some Java runtime error logs, I suspect there is a a clock mismatch to my RAM or processor (cannot be "read"). AMD Phenom IIx4 (unlocked from x2) 3214 core speed at 1.39V. 8GB of DDR3 10600/1333 RAM, but thinking of exchanging those to 4GB at 17000/2133.

Not digging the nightly system crashes when I try to watch NetFlix.

2 out of 5 eggsSo many problems...

Pros: When it runs it handles everything like a champ. High framerates and no stutters or anything.

Cons: Unfortunately, 4/5 times it will have severe issues and will crash whatever I'm doing. In this case there is severe artifacting, black screen, game freezing, and deadlining framerates.

Not to mention that right out of the box I was unable to use my second monitor, due to the fact that when both monitors are in use, the secondary monitor has a thick black horizontal line moving down the screen in a loop.

In the last couple weeks I haven't been able to run anything more intense than an internet browser....

2 out of 5 eggsNothing but problems

Pros: When it runs it runs fabulously. Specs on this board were impressive to say the least, for the money.

Until....

Cons: Constant crashing due to driver failing. Now it is artifacting really badly. The driver failure error comes fairly often now. It started the day I installed the card. Just surfing the web causes the driver failure error to occur. I get the flickering when using .pdfs as well. Drivers are installed multiple times correctly. Not overclocked. Basically the same issue as most of the other owners of this card are having. Nice to see Gigabyte making an effort to help. Is there a fix for this card or is it inherently damaged? Now it's my turn please. Thanks.

Other Thoughts: The card sits in an MSI 890FXA-GD70 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard. The case is super huge & ultra cooled.
