  • newegg GIGABYTE GPU Gauntlet Sorting Gigabyte’s proprietary database analysis system evaluates the GPU core engine, shader engine, and memory, and selects the qualified GPU processors for upcoming maximum overclocking ability and stability test using proprietary professional testing toolkit and Graphics benchmark (FurMark and 3DMark Vantage). Final power switching and stability test will pick up those GPUs with the best power efficiency and lowest power consumption, which are qualified for the Super Overclock Series. Thus, the Super Overclock Series have been factory overclocked at optimal stability point (Super OC point), an exact balance between high frequency and efficient power consumption.

  • newegg Full Microsoft DirectX 11 Support The new DirectX 11 GPU with full Shader Model 5.0, DirectCompute 11 and tessellation support delivers unparalleled levels of graphics realism and film-quality effects.

  • newegg ATI Stream Technology ATI Stream technology is a set of advanced hardware and software technologies that enable AMD graphics processors (GPU), working in concert with the system’s central processor (CPU), to accelerate many applications beyond just graphics. This enables better balanced platforms capable of running demanding computing tasks faster than ever.
  • newegg ATI CrossFireX ATI CrossFireX is the ultimate multi-GPU performance gaming platform, enabling two or more discrete graphics processors to work together for boosted system performance and a breakthrough gaming experience.

4 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: Strong graphics cards. Handles everything I can throw at it with decent image quality. This was not the most expensive card you could get, and I knew when I bought it I would not be getting super maximum overdrive performance because the price of the unit did not reflect that type of performance.

Cons: I do have some issues with BSODs, however, no hardware works perfectly 100%. Keeping this in mind, 1 BSOD every 3 months is not what I would consider too much of an issue.

Other Thoughts: The fan on this unit tends to be a little weak. It may require replacement relatively soon after purchase. I found replacement fans on the internet for $10. When I replaced the thermal paste and the fan, overall performance became much more stable.

3 out of 5 eggsNice card, bad fan

Pros: Seems to run cool considering the awful airflow in my case (70c gaming load)
Build quality was nice

Cons: The fan was Defective. Worked for a few hours then just refused to spin.

Other Thoughts: Bigger and cooler (when it worked) than my 3850. Got it for 99 shipped. I feel bad rating it 3 stars, but having to RMA is just a ridiculously huge hassle.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, Even over a year later

Pros: *Great value
*Has always handled latest games
*With a proper system, you'll see outstanding DX11 support
*OCed version is worth it
*Cooling system works great, and has in fact dropped my temps from a previous card!

My system has a AMD955x4, only 2gb of ddr2, a 500gb 7200rpm hdd, this card, and a cheap mATX mobo, and it has been running Crysis 2 on Ultra set to DX11 in multiplayer games with minimal stutter (a RAM upgrade and a Xfire upgrade would fix this completely). This shows the long term possibilities this card offers.

Cons: *Slightly out of date now, even still I'm planning on adding a second for Xfire (It's only $99 now!).

Other Thoughts: I've never owned a more reliable card. With the price cut this card has never been a better investment. Putting two of these together is in some cases even better than some more modern cards for a comparable price. The benchmarks usually don't show this, but my personal comparisons between close friends have proved my point. Even newer cards in much nicer machines than mine have underpeformed me in the latest video games.

In short: if you're looking for the most bang for your buck possible in today's market, this is the card for you. Great performance and long-term viability are both selling points in my opinion. I would anticipate another two years at max settings with the current performance trend in the gaming market.

Pros: Stable even at Overclock , running two crossfired at 16x Each getting 105 FPS , at 920Mhs 1220Mhz at 45C

Cons: Power Hungry , don't even bother unless you have 850watts or more.
