5 out of 5 eggsExcelent overclocker, extremly cool, and very small card

Pros: Where do I start?

-Overclocks to ridiculous frequencies without the need for any 3rd party junk. Out of the box, just using NVIDIA nTune I managed 860MHz Core 2100MHz Memory (Locked with Core 1:2) 1720MHz Shader, very stable on Auto fan setting!

-Runs extremely cool! On Auto at the above frequencies, card stays very cool idling at 30*C (or room temperature), and after doesn't get hotter than 82*C, and that's without the fan maxed out!

-Quite small. I got an ATX mid tower for the build with this card, I could have easily done mATX, this card is quite short, only about 7"-7.5" in length.

Cons: I can't think of anything negative to say about this card.
-Beats the pants off a 5770, when overclocked, gets around 60%-70% the frame-rates of my 5870, while making 1/5 the fan noise.

-I suppose this card DOES REQUIRE an ample power supply to achieve its max potential. I got this bundled with an OCZ Fatal1ty 550w PSU with two 25A PCI-E power connectors for a good discount. If your building a new system or have a bad PSU, I would recommend opting for the combo if still available.

Other Thoughts: From what I hear this overclockes better than the 1GB GTX460, but some games like Metro 2033 can use more than 768MB of memory when your playing on resolutions 1680x1050 or above.

For example when playing Metro 2033:
1680x1050
DX11
High
4xMSAA
16xAF
yes Tesselation, no DoF, no Advanced PhysX

GPU Memory usage was at 720ish MB,
when resolution was bumped to 1920x1080, usage went up about 30MB to 750ish MB, but when at 1650x1050 and setting changed to Very High, memory usage maxed out at 768MB.

Metro 2033 was very playable at 1650x1050, DX11, High, 4xMSAA, 16xAF with Tesselation by the way, minimums were around 22-24 FPS at high action or heavy smoke/fog areas. And looks quite amazing for $200 IMHO.

4 out of 5 eggsSeems good so far - and not huge

Pros: This card seems good so far - the framerates on WoW are much better now - I can turn most of my settings to full. Also this card is not mega long like most - in fact my 8800 GTX was much longer - I bought a huge case and didn't needta.

Cons: The card is overclockable, many have said, I'm always concerned about overclocking cards - usually decreases the life of the card - why didn't it just come from the factory overclocked?

5 out of 5 eggsMoney Well Spent

Pros: Reasonable cost.
Performance per dollar is unbelievable!
Overclocks out of the box to 840MHz Core, 2050MHz (4.1ghz)!
Low core temperatures.
Very quiet.
Easy installation

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Every three years Nvidia produces a graphics card in the enthusiast sector that can be purchased at a reasonable cost, and overclocked to within 10% of their flagship product. This is that card.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Fermi We Were Waiting For

Pros: Nvidia definitely studied the feedback of GTX 480 and 470, this redesigned GF104 is just amazing. Cutting down Tessellation a little bit is smart.

For $200 price, GTX 460 gives you DirectX 11, CUDA, PhysX and a performance of High-8300 of 3DMark Vantage GPU score. My previous HD 4890 only get High-5005. GTX 460 still has much better performance of Tessellation than ATi HD 5830. In addition, GTX 460 runs extremely cool both at idle and at full load. 31C idle and 60C after 3 min FurMark when RT=20C. Overclocking is my favorite part. Go to 763/1526/1900 so easily, 45% fan speed (really silent) kept this card below 40 at idle and below 70C at full load. Willing to run at 855/1710/2120 without increasing voltage!

Cons: The GPUs used for GTX 460 768M and 1G versions are not full-size GF104. I wish I can buy a GF104 based video card with 384 CUDA core.

The mini-HDMI output is not convenient to use, because the min-HDMI to HDMI adaptor that Gigabyte gave to you will run into a clash with back left panel of your computer case. If you don't care the difference between 2-year and 3-year warranty, at the same price, EVGA's GTX 460 offers a more friendly mini-HDMI to HDMI cable.

Other Thoughts: Intel Core i7-930@2.8GHz, OCZ 2x3G DDR3@1600MHz, ASUS P6X58D-E X58, Rosewill BRONZE series 1000W, WD 7200RPM Black 750G, Cooler Master CM690 case, Noctua 120mm CPU Cooler

5 out of 5 eggsGTX460

Pros: Amazing card nVidia released here and you can't deny it. This card is the game changer and I'm glad I waited a bit longer for a GPU. Anyways back to the card. It performs well and better then I expected and I will be SLI'ing this card with another. I recommend anyone to get this card it's just so cheap and amazing you'd be an idiot to pass this offer up.

Cons: None what so ever.

Other Thoughts: Less noise then other GTX 4XX series.
