1 out of 5 eggstrunksta

Pros: 1 x HDMI, 1 x D-SUB, 1 x DVI, Dual-Link DVI Supported, 1 GB DDR3

Cons: Nada

Other Thoughts: trunksta: you write, "Cons: only 128-bit memory
Definitely not a gaming card:, but if you read ... "Effective Memory Clock1800MHzMemory Size1GBMemory Interface128-bitMemory TypeDDR3".

Who spends their time gaming anyhow, time to work ;)

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad for a non gaming card

Pros: More than enough cooling power
Low profile for 2U rackmount builds
See other thoughts

Cons: only 128-bit memory
Definitely not a gaming card

Other Thoughts: Used one of these in a 2U rackmount server running Windows 7 and VMware Workstation for a PBX
Scores I believe around 6.7 on Windows Experience Index, which is not bad for what this is.

Do not buy this card if you expect to use it for hardcore gaming. Its definitely built to be able to OC and such, but spend a little more to get something with at least 256 bit RAM and more cores.

3 out of 5 eggsAre BOTH fans rotating?

Pros: It rated a 6.7 on WEI (out of a possible 7.9) Win7x64
Doesn't need additional PCIe power connection
The fans don't make any noise

Cons: Poorly designed snap on fan shroud. If you look at the pictures, you can see where the fan power wires connect to the card. However, the wires on both cards I installed were actually preventing the rotation of the front most fan. I ended up removing the shroud, and moving the wires out of the way. Then replacing the shroud. This resolved the non moving fan issue.

Other Thoughts: I would say that this card is worth about $50 max.
And, make sure that both fans are able to rotate freely.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card

Pros: This card stays failry cool and is a VERY nice replacement for the GeForce 8300GS in my Inspiron 531. I can play Fallout 3 on ultra with no problems (but don't expect something like Skyrim or Deus Ex to work perfectly).
The card also has excellent compatibility with Linux.

Cons: No cons

Other Thoughts: The fans cover a PCI slot in my machine, but I don't really need those extra PCI slots anyway. I would have preferred that the PCI Express connector was on the opposite side of the card so that the fans could face upward, but it's still not a big deal.

Purchased November 2011

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little card!

Pros: Nice little card! I used it to upgrade my old ECS MCP61P-AM Mobo and it worked perfectly! I am not a big gamer, so for me this card does the job.

5 out of 5 eggsGIGABYTE GeForce GT 430

Pros: PRICE! At under $80 total a great budget card.
NO external P/S needed!
Extremely quiet and the low profile is great for a micro M/B.
VGA, DVI, and HD outputs, no need to say more.
I bought this to put some new life back into a 4yr old computer and it HAS! I primarily play WoW ( 40-100 fps ) on nearly Ultra settings, and IL2 1946 air combat sim.

The video quality on a 22" CRT (wide screen LCD coming soon) is nothing short of awesome.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: The card installed flawlessly and easily! Updated the drivers right away.
Machine is an HP

5 out of 5 eggsDarn.

Pros: Replaced my Geforce 9800 GT with this card.

Huge improvement.

Amd Dual Core 2.4 Gig
8 gigs of ram
7200 rpm HD
Geforce Gt 430

running diablo 3 on high setting no problem for really cheap.

Cons: Had to adjust the fan wires as they were getting hit by the fan causing terrible noises.

Other Thoughts: New egg sells a 2 gig card for the same price. I wish I had bought that one.
