1 out of 5 eggsPoor Engineering - Failed Fan

Pros: Decent performance for its price, stable under light OC.

Cons: You cannot replace a single fan, the power cable for them is spliced into a single wire before it plugs into the pins on the board. Additionally, and even worse, you must remove the ENTIRE heat sink and fan assembly to separate the fan's from the heatsink. More than that, there are no model numbers or part numbers that can be used to order replacements stamped anywhere on the card. With these devices you have to plan on fans failing if you want to have it more than a year, and that was completely neglected, almost seemingly on purpose. I rarely write reviews, but this one stood out to me as one of the worst engineered products I have ever encountered in the high competition market of GPU's. This cannot be an isolated incident, for Gigabyte to have sold this to me they clearly have not prioritized what customers like myself are interested in, and this was near the top of their line when I purchased it. Unacceptable. I'll replace this bush league nonsense, and it wont be another Gigabyte card.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: I am not a really hardcore gamer, but all of the games that I have played have not shown any noticeable lag. I am sure that there are some extra graphics intensive games that I have not used but for most popular games this card is more than enough.

Cons: This card works as advertised no cons.

1 out of 5 eggsDied

Pros: It DID run great... for a little bit past the Newegg 30 day return policy.

Cons: Stopped working. Unknown reasons. I tried it in 2 separate computers. No luck. Emailed gigabyte a while back about it, they were no help AT ALL. They wouldn't accept my RMA request because they accused me of being the problem. I am not an expert, so I didn't do anything other than plug it in and play for a little while. Plus, I only emailed them about what had happened. They didnt even bother to have me send it in to look at it.

They lost a good paying customer due to extremely bad customer service.

Wasted $200. Had a bad experience with a seemingly good, strong company.

Other Thoughts: Everyone's experiences are different. Buy at your own risk.

3 out of 5 eggsSlowly turns to a lemon

Pros: Card was very good when I first got it.
No need to overclock.

Cons: About a month in random blue screens began to appear.
They slowly got worse.
Changed some drivers. Still not a fix.
Finally bought a new card (Same model, OC edition)
No more blue screens.

Other Thoughts: Going to RMA the old card and then see about setting up crossfire. Gigabyte has been putting out some good products lately. Lets see how their support is.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Solid Card. I use it to play Fallout: New Vegas on my 1080p TV regularly. It looks awesome.

Cons: Make sure you are happy with the digital vs. analog output capabilities.

Other Thoughts: I used to have an older card that had trouble resuming from sleep. This card has been much more reliable.

4 out of 5 eggsGood....But

Pros: runs 90% of games with full specs. MW2, BFBC2, AC-B, C2, RE5, FS9 (FS 2004) runs quiet enough. but makes a funny sound from 75% and up fan speed... runs cool also.

Cons: only thing is the error i get. display driver not responding or sumn, cant remember exactly what it says. but it blacks out for a few secs and comes back on, also some glitches in game play on some games. if you drop the core clock and mem down all the way, it does not happen that frquent

Other Thoughts: good for average gamers but not hard core gamers

5 out of 5 eggsGood gaming card

Pros: -Quiet
-Can play most games out right now on High-Max settings
-Easily overclockable
-Doesn't require a lot of power.

Cons: -Big card, but most graphics cards are these days. You may want to measure your PC case to see if the size will be an issue.

1 out of 5 eggs6850 stopped working

Pros: dual fans to keep the card cool but ran at 74 fan speed the whole time. I could down clocked the fan speed but isn't it already supposed to be programed into the cards bios to manage the fan speed!

Cons: the card kind of worked the first month but then I had start down clocking my memory and frequency to keep it stable. crysis would play for 1 or 2 min then shut off on low settings. other games like borderlands would shut off on high settings after 3 or 4 minutes. even counter strike source would shut off.

Other Thoughts: I had my card RMA but the card was returned to me and I was told that my card was working fine. I installed it into my computer and received the blue screen of death :( I made sure all drivers were taken off and even installed an older graphics card to make sure my Pci express ports are functionally properly. I am tired of trying to get this card to work. I have found a lot of other people have trouble with this series of card so do yourself a favor and get another card.
