  • newegg WINDFORCE 3X: Anti-turbulence Cooling WINDFORCE 3X features 3 ultra quiet PWM fans. The special inclined triple-fan design effectively minimizes the flow of turbulence between three fans. With a unique vapor chamber, WINDFORCE 3X is able to transfer heat from the hot spot to the cool spot as thermal energy becomes evaporated to the surrounding air. By capillary action, the condensed liquid droplets circulate back to the base of chamber. The cycles of evaporation and condensation enhance heat dissipation for greater cooling efficiency. Moreover, WINDFORCE 3X is equipped with three copper heat pipes to strengthen the speed of heat dissipation.

3 out of 5 eggsGigabyte is getting faulty

Pros: 1. When it works it runs games and applications smoothly.
2. The triple fan setup keeps the card cool even during intense gaming.
3. The fans are not that noticeable even when they are running.
4. It can be a great card if Gigabyte checks their products before they release them.

Cons: 1. Big
2. See below

When I first purchased the card everything was running good. Within the first year the card was starting to act abnormally by displaying artifacts in games. Crazy protruding models across the screen. Running 3DS Max 2012 the screen was constantly flickering and the display would crash almost every 10 minutes on the dot.

So I had to RMA the card back to Gigabyte which went smoothly. I called first as their website says first call to troubleshoot the problem then if that fails they will give you a RMA number. Shipped it out about 3½ weeks later I received the card. I've had it back for almost a month now with no problems yet.

Other Thoughts: For anyone considering this card I highly recommend you look else where because Gigabyte is trying to keep up with the graphics market and they are rushing these cards out to fast before they are properly tested. Check on other Gigabyte video cards and read the reviews. Its the same all around.

I've always had BFG Tech video cards but since their demise in 2010 I had to find a alternative. I never once had any issues with any of their cards either, and the 8800 Ultra OC which is in my wife's computer is still running like a champ. Prior to the 8800 I had the 6800 Ultra OC and that one is in its box still able to perform. Although I am replacing the 8800 in my wife's computer now and we just purchased EVGA's 560ti so we'll see if that's my BFG Tech replacement. (The 8800 plays Skyrim but she hates looking at it on my computer because it runs smoother)

5 out of 5 eggsusefull info

Pros: Use MSI afterburner crank core clock up to 845 and you have the super OC card for 10 bucks cheaper ;) *cept I bought the last they had in stock =P*. Doesn't seem to affect temps even as this cards cooling is beast =).

Cons: Can't make waffles. seriously though, what can't this card do that a graphics card should? =P.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card!

Pros: Runs cool, quiet, and like a boss. Hours (often 10+ lol...) at a time running games at max settings, never had micro stutter or any issues. Temps stay nice and cool. I decided to gamble on this thing cause I really liked the look of the cooling option, even though it was a fair bit more expensive then other options, and haven't been let down. This card seriously crushes everything I throw at it. First time with Gigabite products, and deffinately will look at more of their products in the future =).

Cons: No cons I can think of honestly. Though I guess if I had to get nit-picky the fans looked kinda black in the pic in real life they are some kinda see through that doesn't look quite so hard core. But honestly, this thing is awesome.

5 out of 5 eggs20 EGGS

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet card

Pros: Quiet.

Cons: Relatively expensive compared to 560.

Other Thoughts: "Upgraded" from a 6870 Crossfire. Became fed up with the fan noise of two vid cards and the chronic delay of crossfire support for new games like Witcher 2 and Crysis 2.

Choose this over the Asus card because I wanted the option to SLI in the future if needed and the Asus takes up 3 slots. The card came slightly overclocked at 780, was able to bump up to 850 without increasing the voltage.

Card runs very quiet even at load, idles around 34-37C and at load hits low 70's.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: -Very good temps
--Like others reported, idles in high 20s
-Can run any game out

Cons: Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: Very good buy.
Picked this card over the EVGA 570 GTX HD simply cause people reported temps of up to 90C. I have yet to hit above 60C and thats playing Metro 2033 with directx 11 and max settings at 1080P.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet card

Pros: Runs cooler and quieter then you would expect.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Has done everything I've thrown its way. Used it for BOINC-related computing, played latest games at max settings, and never got above 70C in my rig.

4 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: -Looks great
-Very quiet
-Very cool
-Runs fairly well performance wise

Cons: The cooling fans seem a bit flimsy

Other Thoughts: I am running two of these in SLI and it's running everything smoothly. I took off one egg because the SLI seems a bit buggy and the SLI bridge is very touchy. A few times I have had to open the case and wiggle them before both cards would run in SLI again.
