5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: Has been running in my computer now for over 3 years, with more than half of that being up time. Has done very well as my sole graphics card for gaming up until recently. I'm starting to look for a replacement since I got a second monitor and have started playing Skyrim with mods. If possible, I would just buy a second one of these to cross-fire because it really is that good.

Cons: Too bad it's out of stock, or I would buy a second one in a heartbeat.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Card but don't trust Gigabytes Rebate system

Pros: Great card. Overclocked really well. Very happy with performance.

Cons: Gigabyte did not honor the rebate on this item. I had all items in the envelope they asked for. Every single item. They claimed I did not enclose the signed rebate form. Not true. it was in there. How convenient of them to NOT honor my rebate.

Other Thoughts: Rebate not honored with all demanded documents provided exactly as instructions demanded.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card, sad to see its gone

Pros: received the card for christmas, and was amazed. it could handle all my games at the highest settings and maintain 75 fps. after many months, i decided to get another one for sli, only to find that it has been deactivated. so sad......

Cons: the heatsink, while it works, blows hot air around the case, none out the back. and, it doesn't seems to get very hot, while the chip hits 70 Celsius during battlefield 3 gameplay......

Other Thoughts: gigabyte, please bring this card back long enough for me to get another for sli... please! and give it 2 gb of ram

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: Ran for 11 mos 20 days. 3 year Gigabyte factory warranty.

Cons: Failed after 11 mos 20 days. Factory warranty will only repair or replace with refurb. after a 2 to 3 wk wait and paid shipping.
Only used card as intended, nothing fancy going on in my box, no OC, etc...

Other Thoughts: So tired of components failing. Previous video card only made it 2 yrs. Using a borrowed GPU, probably will just trash and buy something other than Gigabyte to avoid lengthy wait for a replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsgood video card

Pros: had it for about 6 months now, and it works great.
came from where ever un-opened overclocked, said so on box. checked it out, and it is overclocked.

Cons: because its overclocked, I have noticed that you might just want to check the temp's every 60 to 90 minutes, sometimes when your gaming non-stop, the heat can stack up.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat bang for buck

Pros: plays Fallout New Vegas and Rage w/o struggle at highest settings and 1152x864
$100 w rebate

Cons: not much difference from old card

Other Thoughts: upgrade from my 8800GT, because games are now DX11.
8800GT texel rate is higher, but pixel rate is half that of the 550
i got my rebate

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Great card, when it works....

Cons: I had this card working for 1 day. I randomly shuts off.
I loaded all updates bios/card/OS/mobo using the on-board video to make sure that wasnt the issue, No difference.
I also plugged this into my other rig and I get the same thing.
I called NewEgg to replace, but since Im a tidy person and dont like keeping boxes in my house, (I had everything but the box) I was told they could not help me and that I would have to call Gigabyte. Which im NOT looking forward to. KEEP YOUR BOX!! There is nothing listed in the VGA return policy about keeping the box!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bought this to replace a video card I thought was causing an issue with my motherboard. Turns out it was a power supply. Regardless, this card has been a nice upgrade to my geforce 250

Cons: none yet

5 out of 5 eggsGood deal

Pros: I got this on a whim, during the sale around Christmas. I upgraded from a gts 250 to this. Needless to say it was a big upgrade. I had been having issues with my old card while playing Shogun 2 total war, it would reach temps of around 70degrees even when the game was on lower settings. So when I had rebuilt my machine I was on the look for a new card.

Cons: None. Its a big card, but every card Ive had in the last 6 years has been as large if not bigger.

Other Thoughts: The card stays at 30 degrees while playing Skyrim or Shogun 2 maxed out! It eats up Star Wars the old republic.
Current Rig:
AMD x6 1090 black
8Gb Gskill ddr3
Asus 870 board
1.5 seagate drive
