5 out of 5 eggsOh AMD, How I missed you!

Pros: This thing is a joy. I thought that buying a 6950 would give me some MAJOR drawbacks but I was wrong, this thing's a wonderful card! Flipping all the settings to ultra is easy and it runs everything I throw at it. No trash drivers or having to use Beta drivers just get the thing to stop overheating like some OTHER chip manufactures... *Cough*Vidia*Cough*

Cons: It takes up two slots, but you should be expecting that one.
This is a LOOOOOONG card. Be absolutely certain that your case can handle thing thing because this is LONG! I barely managed to fit it in my case! It comes, currently, 3 1/2mm from touch the front harddrive bays... (I measured... and inches can't help us at this point!) Needless to say I needed some cable-fu to manage this.
Fans are a bit loud when things get heavy.

All of these cons are just things to consider as I often find myself doing the lazy tech thing and not paying attention to silly things like the size of cards/cases (For Shame! Bad Techie! Bad Techie! You get in your cage!).

Other Thoughts: The loudness doesn't bother me much, the case I have right now is a cheapy Antec 300, and aside from making sure you acknowledge just how LARGE this card is it is a great performer even with the 7xxx coming out! (In fact this lil' guy can probably outperform most of the 77xx line)... So don't overlook it just because it's a 6xxx! that 69xx is very important!

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy!

Pros: Good Price, and Quiet.

Cons: After about 3 months of usage one of the cards fried due to the fans all seizing on it. not long after the second card did the same. So i went through the ridiculously hard RMA process and sent both cards back. upon receipt of the RMA cards i found that one of the cards was not fixed or replaced. i verified this by checking the SN and by testing it in the system where it was being installed.

i called Gigabyte with is not an easy feet and was told that they didn't make a mistake and i would have to pay for shipping again. reluctantly i did due to needing the card. finally after about 4 weeks total i had two working cards again.

now about 2 months over a year both cards die again for the same problem.

If your planning to use these cards for more than 6 months DO NOT BUY THEM. get the ASUS or EVGA versions much more reliable.

Other Thoughts: I think its a shame when a tech company is not open at least on Saturday. let alone having employees that can speak fluent English. as a company we will never buy Gigabyte products again. luckily these cards were not going into a customers machine for those we use ASUS ans EVGS and never have problems with there cards. I guess that is why they are more expensive!!

5 out of 5 eggsBought for bf3 and very impressed

Pros: 3 fans for superb cooling and more overhead room for oc'ing
the fans are inaudible through my haf x case
Gigabyte's a good brand and I got a solid oc on my card
price point is attractive

Cons: not the reference model (1 gb as opposed to 2gb model)...and the reference models are unlockable to 6970's shaders, and are currently selling for less so I'd recommend snatching one of those up instead.

Other Thoughts: Great card, no problems after 6 months of hardcore gaming with a solid oc but if I was buying a gpu right now I'd go with the reference model (10$ less and quite a bit more powerful)

4 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: It's a very powerful GPU that can play any game I throw at it, no problem. 60+ FPS most games.

Cons: It doesn't handle AA very well. At least, not BF3 AA- which destroys framerates.

Other Thoughts: I'm curious as to why it is no longer in stock- it's a powerful, powerful card that should be slightly cheaper now, but instead, you can't purchase it. :(

5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU

Pros: Cheap, powerful, quiet, stays cool, 3 big fans, owned mine for close to a year so far no problems. I'm not a big PC gamer, but the card runs all the games I play flawlessly. (Flight Simulator X, The Sims 2 and 3, Minecraft)

Cons: Very large card, but that's really only a problem if you have a small case. Almost didn't fit in my Dell XPS 8300.

Other Thoughts: Note: You'll probably want to upgrade your power supply (PSU). Measure your case before buying this card.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome

Pros: Works like a charm

Cons: had to cut up my http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119196 to make it fit, lost a few expansion bays and a few hard drive slots

Pros: Great GPU! runs all my games at max setting and runs very cool! stock OC is even more awsomeness added to this card!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Random pixels flickering when I boot up, need to call customer service to diagnose problem but I believe it might be my DVI cable.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Factory OC
-runs cool
-shaders unlock easily
I've got mine stable at 900/1325 with shaders unlocked everything runs great.

My old mid case could barely hold it. make sure you have the room
